They have two different meanings if you look them up google. Idk why people keep saying she was muslim and had a muslim name when she didnt. She was Catholic and she said she thank god every single chance she gets. So they are the same names from different cultures but are not spelled the same or pronounced. Aaliyah pronounced her name "Ah-liyah"
