I would call travel if i was a ref, obviously 3 steps, but you can't really blame LeBron for it, if refs don't call travel, it isn't a travel, just like a block isn't a block if a foul is called, as long as refs in the NBA allow travels to happen, they will take 3+ steps.

@phillip3567 i'll give you the facts. lebron scored 10,000 pts at age 23 years and 59 days. durant is now at 7299 at 22 years and 132 days. by the end of the season durant will score 30 a game to finish at 8379 points. by his birthday meaning sept 29, 1988 he will be 23 years old and still at 8379 points. the 2011-2012 nba season starts last week oct meaning durant is already 23 years and 30 days still at 8379 pts giving him 29 days. he has to score 1621 points in the 29 games. get it?

I.E Kobe always averages between 27 and 35 points per game. Yet he has a lot of Outliers. What this means is that many times he scores 40+ 50+ or even 60+. At this point Kevin Durant would have to average 55 points to score 1,621 points in 29. assuming that at most he scores his PPG average.

It would be closer, I don't know if Kobe would have scored 20ppg if he did 30+ minutes per game. He certainly had the skill, but it would be expected of him to pass to Shaq if he valued being a 6th or starter. Lebron was the star of the Cavs so he was the first scoring option, but Shaq was the star of the Lakers until around the end of their 3peat.
I'm not saying he couldn't, though. On a team without any superstars, I think he probably would average 20 or more to start out.

I dunno man, Kobe is one of my favorite players so I got nothing but respect for him. Hell, we seen how prolific of a scorer he is when he had to carry his team (05-06). It is likely he would have a career average of about 30+ ppg if he began as a starter and had a team of a lesser caliber. That would put him above Lebron, but he had to split it with Shaq and crew which didn't let him average that much.
So it would be close of Kobe was doing 40 mins from the start.

I would call travel if i was a ref, obviously 3 steps, but you can't really blame LeBron for it, if refs don't call travel, it isn't a travel, just like a block isn't a block if a foul is called, as long as refs in the NBA allow travels to happen, they will take 3+ steps.
