  • This should explain all the ufo lights.....

  • I love this, thanks for posting :D One of my favorite things in the world, and one of my fondest memories.. Fireflies :) How could you dislike this video?

  • I missed those I used to see them and catch them when i was kid a long time ago back east. Thanks for the video :)

  • habbitat loss du to many human constructions in the environment ie back yard encrochment. we are killing them off by really wanting a pool iun our uard or addition to our home or even by cutting down trees.

  • the biggest problem with trying to get them into your neighborhood is that they eat slugs. How many neighbors want slugs ?

  • come to think of it I havent seen many lightning bugs lately..I used to see alot of them But maybe there are decreacing!!

  • Woah Check this video out in "TEXTp" it shows the video in different letters and numbers.

Haven't seen lightning bugs in a while.

  • Previous year on vacation in french i also met fireflies behind our tent, my dad thought we left the flashlight on :P very nice experience by the way :D:D

  • I saw something on National Geographic recently about lightning bugs becoming extinct. I am on a mission to fill my neighborhood with them.

  • @Jylissia how? i want to also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Jylissia that's a good idea :)

  • yes there is it has more a yellow tint " no such thing as heat thunder"

  • He's right, there is no such thing as heat lightning.

    From Wikipedia:

Heat lightning is a misnomer for the faint flashes of lightning on the horizon or other clouds from distant thunderstorms that do not have accompanying sounds of thunder.

  • lightingbugs are cool had them in todd mission texas in the summer and in kennard texas too my friend saw them from the window of his room so kool lookin

  • oh they are the best. not very many in california tho.

  • No, not really lol Im from Maryland and we had them ALL the time in the Summer. The last few years i lived there though there wasnt hardly any. I heard that they were becoming extinct......Anyways, i remember my friend used to catch them and write her name on the sidewalks with the glowing part of them.....I would get so mad at her for killing them.

  • i have tride to catch lightening bugs on video to does not work at all about the best i have seen but when its dark enough for them to show the camera cant focus because its to dark

  • Lightning bugs are best viewed in a dark room with clip on full screen view. For every flash you see, there are several dozen you can't - too faint for the camera to pick up. Heat lightning is more dramatic when viewed small screen.

  • i think it shosw up better on the small screen big one too blurry
