What's the sizing for the large and XL in Circumference? I recently bought a DNA pro XL but it seems slightly too big even though my head/hat size fits into the measurements. Also, will it be available in stores because that would let us fit it instead of having to order then send it back.

@timotomtime1 We're still working on the Vengeance facemask line. But remember, DNA facemasks will fit on the Vengeance, as well as XL traditional facemasks. Typically, a custom facemask will cost $300-$400, depending on the design.

I'm confused because I have a youth DNA with the similar facemask to Eli mannings.... But I kno it isn't custom made tot is it suitable for varsity football. Is there not the classic two bar facemask because the facemask you mentioned was with 3 bars down.... Like a frank gore mask. Any help?

@timotomtime1 Right. That's what makes Manning's facemask a custom. The youth facemask you mention is a DNA-OPO-YF. Very close but it's not suitable for varsity play. DO NOT USE YOUTH FACEAGUARDS IN VASRITY PLAY. There is no varsity version of the DNA-OPO-YF.

@timotomtime1 Manning wears a custom made, titanium ROPO-SW faceguard for his DNA Pro+. You can see the traditional ROPO-SW for the DNA on our website. Go to Football>Faceguards>DNA Guards. We can't provide the direct URL as YouTube won't let us.

@Julio57585960 We do not have an exact release date yet. XL and Larges will be available first - approximately July 1 - but you can order them beginning in late Spring. Mediums and smalls should be available in August. The helmet will be available from any Schutt team dealer, online or offline, that is authorized to carry the Vengeance DCT.

@JustLaxin235518 A helmet will not be the only solution to your concussion problems Make sure you have been properly cleared by your doctor before returning to the field for practice or games. The Vengeance will not be available in youth models for the 2012 season. But our other youth models are great choices: ION4D, DNA Pro+ and AiR XP.

I'm a president of a youth football organization in Cali. Many players have requested revo speeds this season but I'm all for schutt. My son has used DNA , DNA plus , DNA recruit hybrid + and he will now try this vengeance this season. This looks killer and your demo is our colors so even better example. My question though is this chinstrap looks Vegas gold ?? Is this gonna be an option when ordering.

@Oxnardknight1 Great to hear that Knight! We appreciate your loyalty. The chin strap on the Vengeance actually has Aqua Tech Graphics on it. That is an option on any hard cup chin strap we make but it's a little expensive. Talk to your local Schutt dealer about it, if you're interested in ordering them.

@princesitapaola Warning: political correctness ahead (albeit the truth): Each helmet has its own unique characteristics. The Vengeance is no different. So saying it will be "better" than the ION4D is difficult. It really depends on your own personal preferences and how well the helmet fits you. We will say we expect the Vengeance will absorb more impact than any of our other helmets - we 're waiting until we have third party testing to prove that, though.

@babs2972 The Energy Wedge faceguard is unique to the ION4D. Not all features work with all helmet designs and our engineers and designers were able to incorporate some of the impact absorption features into the new Vengeance faceguards while still allowing the helmet shell to be improved.

@TheDdaniels Thanks man! The weight will be about the same as the ION4D, depending on the faceguards. The faceguard line will be limited to 6-10 styles at first. Not sure how we'll proceed after that.
