Not much to balance when there are no counter weights! Looks like a 320 gear box on a 305 structure with a 100 inch stroke.

yeah i used to work on work over rigs and wed rig up to the pumping unit after removing all those damn valves

Its amazing that the ones in the background are not pumping.

They are on timers and "pump off controllers". They shut the units off when the down hole pumps are not pumping at full capacity and wait for the oil to come in.
