@thedriftmc As a teacher it is your responsibility to explain to your students that The United States has never started a world war. Additionally The United States only used nuclear weapons defensively, and by using them millions of lives were saved compared to the losses that would have occurred if conventional warfare had continued.
You should explain to your students that our two countries are in fact strong allies and the U.S. assists Indonesia in its continuing war against terrorism!

@mrekbass I don't think it's my responsibility to spread US propaganda, but merely to correct their English and help them express their views concisely. It's also my responsibility to ensure they have a free platform on which to speak, without being told what to think.
I think any one of my students already understands there wouldn't be any terrorists in Indonesia in the first place if it wasn't for Israel and the United States.

If you read my statement you will see that I have stated nothing that isn’t agreed upon by the overwhelming majority of historians. The historical record is clear on all the facts I expressed and I expressed no opinion whatsoever.
Regardless of your area of expertise, being so misinformed on crucial 20th century events is inexcusable!
I can only pray that you are not a history teacher!

@mrekbass By definition, Hiroshima & Nagasaki suffered the worst terrorist attacks in history. Lets be honest here. Those horrible bombs were dropped on hundreds of thousands of innocent, unsuspecting civilians: men, women & children. WWII was all but won. The Japanese were trying to make peace leading up to the bombs being dropped. It wasn't done to "win the war" or "save lives". It was done so that Russia would have a front row seat for a demonstration of our newest killing technology.

@Krazyk007x2 When studying history it is important to take ones emotions out of the equation so as to not be blinded by ones bias. This way we can avoid repeating history's tragic events!

You have strangely narrow definition of terrorism! As horrific an act as these bombings were they were neither offensive militarily or an act of terrorism! Like it or not, they were acts of war!

As was the case with dozens of cities bombed by conventional means up until that time. To suggest that Nagasaki and Hiroshima were unique is false and frankly irresponsible!

A completely false statement! Allied commanders estimated it might have taken 6 months to 2 years to take Japans mainland by conventional means.

Largely an irresponsible statement! Japan would have only accepted surrender had the Allies agreed to stay off of the island of Japan! They were suing for peace on their terms not peace on any terms!
It wasn't done to "win the war" or "save lives". Sorry, but in warfare bombing cities is always done to “win the war.”
I didn’t claim it was an act of altruism.

At least you got this one partially right! The U.S. did want other countries to see that they had created a weapon that all combatants were competing to create! Thankfully, as is evident by the way Axis powers treated their enemies of war, the U.S. was first to achieve this goal!

Don't hate on the common man, where ever they may be from. It's the guys at the top you should be picking on, monarchy, government, banksters, etc. Most people aren't even aware of this stuff as they have been lied to through the media for generations and purposely dumbed down. People from all over the world should be informed of the truth and take action to stop the heirachy from deceiving the public and using them to do their dirty work. Stand up for the common man, not for the elite few.

I watched this and couldn't stop laughing. The fat guy says he spent 43 years studying this crap? Shit! More like he wasted 43 years of his life.
