i bought a trailer today and i took it into the police station to get it inspected so this crap doesnt happen again. They had quite the chuckle over the flashlight story and told me thats something they give warnings for.

They were super cool since my trailer was missing a light bulb cap, i didnt even know, like it must have fallen off on the drive there and they just said "dont worry, get it replaced before you take it out next time".

No ticket or anything and still passed safety check.

Because what i hated the most about the flashlight was that its as if the cop saw me coming on the water and told me "ok u dont have a flashlight, go back and get one" and if i had just ignored him and was like Ok W/E ill get one next time, then if i were him i would write a ticket.

But at least give the poor person a chance to correct their mistake, i dont need a 125$ ticket to tell me to carry a flashlight. Simple warning would have been more than enough.

The cop used some stupid example when i asked him if i cant just go back and get a flashlight. He was like "what if you were driving without a seat belt, you cant just put it on after".
