You could also just lay a soaker on top, so it will still work. Great job! I love making diapers, its so great knowing you can actually use your creations!
It also took me a few hours, the pinning takes forever!
I think you did a fab job hun, it looks great for a first attempt, I cant wait to look through more of your videos to see what else you have done, take care
How creative of you to want to make them yourself. Good job didn't look like anything was wrong with it at all. I think its neat you are going to do cloth nappies, let me know how it goes.
Well, I thought it would be cool if I was actually able to make something for the baby and...if we ever run out or need more I could just whip up one or two on the machine (thats when I get quicker at it). I have now made 3 and they are getting better and easier to do with each one, soon I will use the nicer material I bought and make cute pink ones etc.
Looks like a fairly decent attempt!! (Much better than I ever could!) I have recently become obsessed with modern cloth nappies but I'll probably buy them despite how over-priced they are :P
I think you've got a much better idea. I can just imagine you sewing with your bump... how adorable.
Well I need at least 24 for a three day cycle of clean ones, in the wash ones and ones drying. I already have 14 that I bought, so tha makes about 10 that I will make. You should give it a go, its not too hard, even though I havent perfected it yet.
Thank you, oh yeh I remember in your video you showed a teddy that you made for your little baby. Can you make clothes and stuff? I'd love to do that.
You did so well. Thanks a lot for putting that video on your favorites. I am going to try and make them too. Just a question, what do you stuff them with? And would they still need to wear something waterproof over the top of these cloth nappies? I was thinking instead of the flannel on the outside I wonder if you could use a waterproof material. I Might do some extra research.
You can stuff them with microfibre towels folded or you can make your own inserts out of fleece and microfibre or you can buy them premade (which is more exspensive). Yes you do need a cover, I will show you two types of covers that I have and are quite cheap. Also you can put a waterproof layer on th outside, I think it is called PUL.
you did good on your first try! i would just let those seams out a little to make the pocket wider! but great job!
