I think Altair had good character development, but the game didn't focus on it much, and he was always very calm and serene despite his work. He was an example of what any man of his sort should aspire to be. Ezio on the other hand is easier for most people to relate to I suppose, he starts out as an average guy and his entire destiny is sort of orchestrated by his family, and then in the end he meets a hollow victory...

I think assassin's creed brotherhood (as an experience as opposed to a game) was one of the most emotionally significant things to happen to me for years before and after i had it. Whether or not that is extremely weird is irrelevant, the point is, i got more hours of gameplay out of that game than any other that I have ever played. (apart from pokemon emerald obviously)
