I have my elastics to help correct my bite and they hurt sooo much. But usually the wax kinda helps it out, I got them yesterday but now there not hurting as much as they did.

I know that braces hurt because my friends in my class two of my friends have braces and I know a girl that used to be in grade 8 In my school and she got braces and she said it hurt really bad so I kinda believe her because she is awsome and so are the other kids in my class and the girl in my class I like her and she has braces but she dosent like me but other than that I know that braces hurt and I fell bad for anybody that has braces cause your in so much pain

i have to put elastics from my lingual maxillary third molar to my mandibular buccal side third molar (inside out). and a band from my upper left canine to my second premolar(L) and then! upper right canine to lower right canine and first premolar. huhhh....

@itsazreenazlans hello :) the majority of people who had braces wore elastics, they give like the finishing touches to whatever the braces cannot fix. so u may or may not need them. if you are questioning then as your ortho, maybe you might get them around the final months. good luck

One time i went for an emergency because the hook for the elastic on my braces broke, and the girl i got must of been her first day or something, she took like half an hour getting the bracket on, but it was the wrong one!!, and she got a different one, and it without the hook!! So finally after one hour and a half of bullshit, she finally got the bracket on:). But keep in mind how long it takes an experinced person to put a bracket on...

I have elastics. I have to wear them on both the hooks that are on the wires (mine are towards the front) and then on a hook on the bracket at the back on the bottom, if that makes sense. It looks like a triangle!

How long do you have to wear the bands? And how often? I'm scared cause I'm probably gonna have to wear them too since my bottom midline is shifted to one side. It's all cause of my top canine tooth going on the inside of my bite...GRRRR. Anyway, that's halfway to the outside now so it should be fixed soon. But I hope I dont have to wear a band over the front of my mouth like that =/. Yikes, how will i talk to people!? I dunno if this will be worth it...
