I love it! Great video! Europe is one of the most important political alliances ever formed. If you don't like something in the EU, step into politics and change it. It's that easy.
If we did that good in the economy, the government wouldn't have spend 4 billion on buying a private bank to prevent it from busting, while having to sell their own bank (Fortis) to France. There are rating bureaus and our rating sucks. Face it, this country is bankrupt. FFS, they raised retirement age to 70 and they still project a deficit in the retirement funds within 15 years. By the time I get to retire, I'll be what, 95? This government sucks and this country stinks.
All great things... & why the EU can be great.. just a shame the overpaid beauracrats that run the EU want to ruin such a good thing. What has Europe ever given to us - 2 parliament buildings, a billion overpaid MEPs, a parliament ran by the lobbyists not the people, competence creep, a court which bulldozes over member states right to decide its own social welfare policies, over regulation of anything that moves & not to mention damaging restrictions placed on national immigration policy. Yup!
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH What? What are you saying about Belgium, We have to pay much taxes but it's not like we can't pay school because of that... Belgium has one of the best education systems in the world, one of the best hospitals and medical care in the world and does good in economy, the harbor of Antwerp is the 7th biggest and money making harbor in the world.... You're making Belgium look like Morocco or countries like that....
Belgium also has the highest income tax in the world and the education you are talking about is private school.
We have nowhere near the best medical care and education, that goes to Scandinavia. Our hospitals are also nowhere near the best. I work in the medical sector and you'd be baffled at the savings we have to make (e.g. we are only allowed to give 1/4 patients who would die within 2 years a LVAD, because our healthcare system is going bankrupt).
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH No I'm not talking about private schools, you can google for statistics and our medical care is one of the best in the world for many reasons: We can have a healt incurence, Going to the hospital gives you a 60% chance to survive deseases like cancer and we are good in transplantating organs.
It's not my job to "google it". If you have a counter claim provide links. I'm sorry, but your statistic on entering the hospital is pure bullshit. No such blanket statistic exists. We are in the 21st in healthcare and those statistics are from the year 2000 by the WHO. As I said, my experience shows things haven't really improved, because we're running out of money that doesn't exist. Diseases like cancer? Which type of cancer? Bullshit claim again.
We have limited public health care which doesn't nearly cover all expenses. In 2005 for example, over 1500 people applied for help with the Cancer fund because they couldn't pay their bills and public HCS wasn't paying. People are actually dieing because they can't afford their treatment, while being taxed into poverty by the same government that refuses to pay back its citizens. That's why people get hospitalization insurances BTW.
fuck EU propaganda, and some of the listen things are not good neither they were done by the EU,are you calling the destruction of european peoples a good thing?opening the borders is not a good thing EU bastards.
What a load of Bollocks. The UK is getting shat on froma great hieght. We have European companys running our Electric including the Nuclear sites right through hospital meals for the NHS.
Freddy Laker introduced cheap flights and was pushed out by the big airlines in the early 80's not the EU.
It's a jumped up dictatorship full of spenthrift greedy arseholes lining their own pockets.
The French and German dictatorship (once again!) can go fuck it's self!
Well, It's brought several states bankruptcy with the EURO. It's overthrown democratic governments in Italy and Greece and replaced them with unelected technocrats. It put mountains of heavy regulation on small and medium size businesses costing them a fortune. It's made plenty of stupid laws such as telling us the maximum number of hours we can work for and has told us that bananas have to be sold cheaper if they have big curves in them. It's made 1 in 4 hedge funds leave London.......
NATO brought peace. Sales of goods act gave better consumer protection than the EU. UK world's 5th largest economy can negotiate trade agreements on her own. Copyright laws existed before the EU. Regional funds is giving back a little bit of our own money. Better phone calls?. Free movement of cheap labour pricing you out of your job. SO WHAT HAS THE EU DONE FOR US?
I'm glad my tax money is going towards that, while our public school system is burning to the ground, our retirement age is elevated to 70 and people, including myself, can hardly afford studying here in their own country. /sarcasm
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH The retirement age was elevated for a reason you know, I dont know what country you live in so I cant comment on you other comments (did that sentence make sense?)
Our retirement age was raised because my government keeps waisting money on useless things and keeps giving itself and other public servants a raise on their pay. I live in Belgium, I pay 50% income tax for crying out loud, and 21,9% VAT. That means for those 2 taxes alone, of every 1000 euro I own, 720 goes to the government. So excuse me for being upset I can't pay my own studies and face the prospect of working until the age of 70 (when public servants can retire at 58).
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against student exchange programs. I love to meet people from other countries and an internationalistic world is what I dream of. But I question the government spending money on such projects with tax money of people who are having trouble at the moment to pay for their own or their children's education.
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH 50% income tax? I find that very hard to believe. Exactly how much money are you making if you pay 50% income tax? (I hope you don't mind the personal question). And in Belgium don't you have a pretty good public school education? Are you talking about basic-school, highschool or college?
Yea, well, 50% is actually a low estimate. We have the highest individual tax rate in the world.
en . wikipedia . org / wiki / Tax_rates_around_the_world
Income tax is that in Belgium for anyone earning over 800 euro's net a month, regardless of marital status. We are talking about college.
Public education in Belgium is miserable. By the time I got to my first masteryear, out of the 30 students in my class, one had gone to a public highschool. The rest dropped out.
My parents sent me to a private highschool and did their best to pay. I'm glad I got that, I'm absolutely grateful for that, because the older I get, the more you notice the huge difference between public schools and private schools.
As for public college, I believe there's only one, and it's considered to be the least qualitative college in Belgium (by students and the job market).
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH You're completely right. There is no consumer protection. Intellectual property policies are a big threat for freedom... phone calls have nothing to do with EU. Food safety policies only eliminate small businesses and local farms. I can see only some advantages of exchange programmes and free movement...
The European Union is a hopelessly corrupt and criminal led organisation that costs the UK £billions per year in membership fees that the British people can hardly afford.
Funny how nobody tries to argue about the points the video raised. Yeah the EuSSR is a second coming of Hitler's Reich. Hehe those little eurosceptics are really adorable... .
Which point to you wish me to address? I like to call myself a statist-skeptic. I have no problem with European federalism. But it has to come, like all federalism, from the bottom up. Not from the top down by some forceful dictatorship.
all the points in this video are trivial and uselss, id rather pay an extra 10p for a foreign phone call than pay thousands a year to pay a brussels beurocrats immense pay check
cheaper and better phone calls ? well...maybe; but France had to increase its internet fares because the EU decided it was too low...quite disappointing...the problem of Brussels is all the lobbysts there !!
@MrStaxxy it was a political joke, and who areyou to award 'credits'? also hes not trolling as hes nottrying to provoke a response from idiots like you
Basically Europe made German's dream for a re birthed Fourth Reich possible. Now the worst is coming. German and US bankers, united once again, lead Greece, Portugal, Spain and probably Italy to slavery and collapse. At the same time they're making a great deal of blood money out of it. No doubt we're gonna kick them out. But we must be aware. Hitler has come back more powerful than ever. And this time there's no Soviet Union to save humanity.
As for the pathetic video, leave the Pythons alone.
@thelostislandboy There is 1 thing even more pathetic than whining about Germany as some kind of 4th Reich. Thats whining about Germany as some kind of 4th Reich + the name Hitler. And there one thing even more pathetic than whining about Germany as some kind of 4th Reich + the name Hitler. Thats whining about Germany as some kind of 4th Reich + the name Hitler + stating an even bigger mass murderer like Stalin came to save humanity.
Destroyed the UK's fishing industry; ruined the economies of Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain; increased food and energy prices; stopped us deporting terrorists; forced us to absorb waves of mass immigration; halted economic growth in the UK; lowered animal welfare standards; infiltrated the media and education system to promote itself USSR style. History shows that the angry man's first point is much more important than any of your other made up benefits.
@DragonSkin342 No, European rebels who fought the British discovered the USA and founded it's Constitution. Even since WW2, Europe hasn't done jack shit and always expects the USA to do the heavy lifting. Heck, EU cannot even take on Kosovo, Bosnia, and Libya alone without the USA. So now Europe did not anything for USA lately, let alone having security under out defense budget.
@DragonSkin342 that has nothing to do what i said. Yes Columbus discovered the Americas(not just America, Canada and parts of Americas also) but they did not found the USA aka the Constitution of America.
@Aldameldo lol you're greek... it's no wonder you're so pro-eu seeing as how without it you'd be bankrupt because your country and its people have been living far above their means. most western europeans aren't exactly that pro-europe any longer, i can tell you that
In the unequal struggle between what the Romans have done for us and what the Europeans have done for us, poor, pathetic Europe needs all the help she can get!
colors that can give you cancer in foods that was baned from foods in Sweden have been reintroduced in foods. Thanks EU :P
Same go for some environmental stuff.
No borders makes it easy to smuggle drugs in and out.
I do not see how the consumer protection have become better.
Did we not have peace before EU?
now Sweden is dragged in to every fight all over the world and can not remain neutral because of EU. Sweden have there first terrorist attacks after this. Coincident? you reside...
Everything mentioned in this video is either grossly untrue, or purported to be good while actually being really fucking bad. Typical pro-EU argument.
If anyone wants me to go into detail about any points discussed in this video, I'll be glad to explain (even though this appears to have fallen into an 'America vs the world' argument in the comments section.

@fingerleeshands yes but first the united states is much larger and second the eu has the eastern european states in it (no offense). however youd also find that pretty much all the worlds advances in science come out of europe or the middle east if your willing to go back that far.
@CommanderMethos everything modern is thanks to the united states, you wouldnt even be on the computer, internet or youtube if it were not for the united states

@fingerleeshands yes but the principles behind the getting computers to talk to each other are essentially based on the telegraph and the radio. both european inventions.
@CommanderMethos LMFAO are you comparing visual signals, such as beacons, smoke signals, semaphore telegraphs, signal flags, and optical heliographs, or audio messages via coded drumbeats too American Nikola Tesla's electric grids, communications protocol and wireless telecommunications
@fingerleeshands well considering internet communications were sent either by radio wave to via satelite. or as electricle pulses along a cable, which is how a telegraph works, then yes.
@CommanderMethos The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) . It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies has nothing to do with radio Signals and guess who invented the communications satellite? You Got it, the united states
@CommanderMethos Invented in 1962 by the American aerospace engineer John Robinson Pierce, NASA launched Telstar, the world's first active communications satellite, and the first satellite designed to transmit telephone and high-speed data communications
@fingerleeshands 1 i never said the americans wernt egineeres. they just didnt discover half the science. 2 communications with satelites is maintained via radio band frequencys since there is no other way of getting data up there. 3 the science behind fiber optics has been around since the 19th century. 4. that satellite wouldnt of made it into space without the german rocket scientists.

@publicmario17 All white americans are europeans who have lived on a different continent for some time. No europe=No america as we know it today. America would be full of NATIVE americans if it hadn't been for europeans.
Die lebendige Kultur Mitteleuropas wurde in den dreißiger Jahren gekappt, und all die Intellektuellen gingen in die USA oder nach Frankreich, oder sie wurden eliminiert. The vibrant culture of central Europe was cut in the thirties, and all the intellectuals went to the U.S. or France, or they were eliminated. You're absolutely right, finally someone who thinks the same way as i !!
@publicmario17 Kid, you honestly have no idea what Europe and the EU are like. The EU is like paying tax. Europeans moan about it but all pay up. The Brits moan about it, but never leave ... etc. etc. As for falling, it's only been growing so far. As for the Euro,...... oh I see it just gained against the USD. As long as there is a crappy USD, there sure as hell will will be a crappy Euro as well.
Yeah, what have they done for HUMANITY in its entirty? The US has landed a man on the moon, built the ISS, and plans on building a base between the moon in earth. Almost a space city.
....all these things we had before Europe. Oh and don't forget economic meltdown and government without representation. The sooner Britain gets out of Europe the better.
They forgot eroding our soveriegn rights, unlimited immigration, non-democratic rulers, the Lisbon treaty etc...etc... I love seeing these propoganda videos. They remind me of old WW2 posters.
Search on "epetitions" you will see "epetitions.direct.gov.uk" go to it, type in "Britain wants Referendum to leave the EU" and you will see 30,180 + signatures already. Signe the petition, takes a minute. When it hits 100,000 there has to be a COMMONS DEBATE.
@CommanderMethos Armed conflict or not, I still like living in an independent state, and most of the europeans agree with me. You seem quite Pro-EU, but remember that nationalism is rising again fastly and uniting countries agaisnt their citicens will would be dangerous.
@CommanderMethos You live in a big country. I live in a small country. Your country can make decisions in EU because it`s big. Mine is only being pushed around because it`s small. Do you now understand why I`m agains EU?
@olvimann i can se your point but its actually very hard for any of the bigger countrys to get their point across. mostly because they are opposed by the other major countrys in the eu.
also there are some examples of multi national countrys working. the biggest european example being italy. the russians to a lesser extent.
It's pretty funny how Germany are done with their holocaust, while US is currently on it. Guantanamo Bay, Afghanistan, Iran, Irak and so on. You know what I'm talking about.
@ofri75 How did they save the europeans from the nazi's again? I forget. Was it when the USA joined the war late when the tide had already turned? Or was it when Britain didn't give up when Germany bombed the entire country for weeks? Or was it when the French started an underground rebellion and sabotaged the nazi war effort? Or was it when Europe did as much, if more, than the americans when it came fighting the nazis?
@TheRandyChimp- USA saved Europeans from the nazis by bringing over 100 THOUSAND SOLDERS to fight in "Operation Overlord"- the invasion to the Eropean continent, that resulted conquering of France, and later on Germany, and by shipping & transferring endless ammunition/ weapon to USSR and Britain in its war against Germany. Majority of soldiers who participated in Operation Overlord were Americans. Of course others also helped (UK, Canada, USSR) but without Americans, Europe would remain NAZI!
@ofri75 So you just assume we would have given up? What the fuck do you take us for? If we were gonna give up, we'd have done it early on, or not have gotten involved in the first place. America joined in because Japan attacked Pearl Harbour and in order to attack Japan, the US had to attack the entire axis. If you guys could have avoided war with Germany, you wouldn't have joined in.
@TheRandyChimp - it's not a matter of assuming.. it's HISTORICAL FACT. ALL countries except Russia and Britain were occupied, and without the USA there was NO CHANCE in hell that Germany could be defeated and be occupied. Europeans are weak now. America joined because Germany declared war on the USA, and you owe your freedom and lives to Americans. Any other attmpt on ur side to excuse the victory would be pointless.
@ofri75 See, this why the rest of the world hates your country. It's full of arrogant sacks of crap who think America is an unbeatable force that everyone fucking admires. Fuck you and fuck every other idiotic american who thinks the sun shines out of their arse. You're a fucking joke!
@TheRandyChimp - my country? I'm not American incase you thought I was. and I believe Europeans are much more arrogant... why did you, Europeans murder more than 50 million people during WW2 including 6 million Jews out of pure evil racism? Why did most Europeans supported Nazism, Fascism, and Communism? Why did European colonize more than half of the entire world in brutality?
PS - European countries are no longer super powers... but the USA IS a super power... think why.
@ofri75 Oh my mistake, guess I got confused when I saw your profile saying your country was the US. Guess you really must be Americas buttmonkey, you feel the need to put it as your country when it isn't. Sad and pathetic in my opinion.
Just so you know, Europe isn't a country. Ergo, you can't say that "europeans" murdered 50 million people during WW2, since most of those people were European, you idiot! The Nazi's wanted racial purity, something that's not exactly favoured by sane people.
@TheRandyChimp - yes, it was your mistake indeed... I'm not American (I lived there for a while, but not any more) and I have nothing to hide, and I would be proud to be American of course.
I know Europe is not a country, but there is the EU, which is a union. Yes, Europeans murdered 50 million people, some were Europeans and some were not, but the point is that they killed so many millions out of racism, violence, and greediness. Most Europeans were nazi supporters or colaborators as well.
@ofri75 That's such a lazy argument. Most europeans weren't nazi supporters or collaberators. Besides which, it's a pointless comment, since you're ignoring the fact that most europeans fought back against the nazis and kept fighting. And you want to talk racism against Jews, let's look at America for a bit, shall we?
Let's use an example. Charlie Chaplin: For a FUCKING long time, he was "accused" of being Jewish by many americans who saw being jewish as a negative thing.
@Efteling4Ever - maybe I'll surprise you but I live in Poland and it's far from what statistics are saying. It's only worse each year and salaries getting smaller and smaller. Belgium has one of the best education systems in the world, one of the best hospitals and medical care in the world and does good in economy, the harbor of Antwerp is the 7th biggest and money making harbor in the world.... You're making Belgium look like Morocco or countries like that....
TMRespawn 2 weeks ago
@TMRespawn
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 1 week ago
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH No I'm not talking about private schools, you can google for statistics and our medical care is one of the best in the world for many reasons: We can have a healt incurence, Going to the hospital gives you a 60% chance to survive deseases like cancer and we are good in transplantating organs.
TMRespawn 1 week ago
@TMRespawn
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 1 week ago
@TMRespawn

Intellectual property is intellectual theft and censorship.

@SSTTEEAALLTTHH I can tell you from a personal point of view that the student-exchange programs have worked out pretty well.
lolpauve 2 weeks ago
@lolpauve
I'm glad my tax money is going towards that, while our public school system is burning to the ground, our retirement age is elevated to 70 and people, including myself, can hardly afford studying here in their own country. /sarcasm
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 2 weeks ago
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH The retirement age was elevated for a reason you know, I dont know what country you live in so I cant comment on you other comments (did that sentence make sense?)
lolpauve 2 weeks ago
@lolpauve
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 2 weeks ago
@lolpauve
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against student exchange programs. I love to meet people from other countries and an internationalistic world is what I dream of. But I question the government spending money on such projects with tax money of people who are having trouble at the moment to pay for their own or their children's education.
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 2 weeks ago
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH 50% income tax? I find that very hard to believe. Exactly how much money are you making if you pay 50% income tax? (I hope you don't mind the personal question). And in Belgium don't you have a pretty good public school education? Are you talking about basic-school, highschool or college?
lolpauve 2 weeks ago
@lolpauve
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 2 weeks ago
@lolpauve

@olvimann i can se your point but its actually very hard for any of the bigger countrys to get their point across. mostly because they are opposed by the other major countrys in the eu.
also there are some examples of multi national countrys working. the biggest european example being italy. the russians to a lesser extent.
CommanderMethos 4 months ago
@CommanderMethos Still, making EU a country would be spitting on a war veterans face.
olvimann 4 months ago
@olvimann i dont think so. the soldiers gave their lives so europe could be free.
CommanderMethos 4 months ago
@CommanderMethos Maybe yours did. Ours were on the axis side and were only aiming at regaining Karelia and not being occupied by the soviets.

It's pretty funny how Germany are done with their holocaust, while US is currently on it. Guantanamo Bay, Afghanistan, Iran, Irak and so on. You know what I'm talking about.

USA saved the Europeans from the nazis. How did Europeans return the favor?
ofri75 5 months ago
@ofri75 How did they save the europeans from the nazi's again? I forget. Was it when the USA joined the war late when the tide had already turned? Or was it when Britain didn't give up when Germany bombed the entire country for weeks? Or was it when the French started an underground rebellion and sabotaged the nazi war effort? Or was it when Europe did as much, if more, than the americans when it came fighting the nazis?
TheRandyChimp 5 months ago
@TheRandyChimp- USA saved Europeans from the nazis by bringing over 100 THOUSAND SOLDERS to fight in "Operation Overlord"- the invasion to the Eropean continent, that resulted conquering of France, and later on Germany, and by shipping & transferring endless ammunition/ weapon to USSR and Britain in its war against Germany. Majority of soldiers who participated in Operation Overlord were Americans. Of course others also helped (UK, Canada, USSR) but without Americans, Europe would remain NAZI!
ofri75 5 months ago
@ofri75 So you just assume we would have given up? What the fuck do you take us for? If we were gonna give up, we'd have done it early on, or not have gotten involved in the first place. America joined in because Japan attacked Pearl Harbour and in order to attack Japan, the US had to attack the entire axis. If you guys could have avoided war with Germany, you wouldn't have joined in.
TheRandyChimp 5 months ago
@TheRandyChimp - it's not a matter of assuming.. it's HISTORICAL FACT. ALL countries except Russia and Britain were occupied, and without the USA there was NO CHANCE in hell that Germany could be defeated and be occupied. Europeans are weak now. America joined because Germany declared war on the USA, and you owe your freedom and lives to Americans. Any other attmpt on ur side to excuse the victory would be pointless.
ofri75 5 months ago
@ofri75 See, this why the rest of the world hates your country. It's full of arrogant sacks of crap who think America is an unbeatable force that everyone fucking admires. Fuck you and fuck every other idiotic american who thinks the sun shines out of their arse. You're a fucking joke!
TheRandyChimp 5 months ago
@TheRandyChimp - my country? I'm not American incase you thought I was. and I believe Europeans are much more arrogant... why did you, Europeans murder more than 50 million people during WW2 including 6 million Jews out of pure evil racism? Why did most Europeans supported Nazism, Fascism, and Communism? Why did European colonize more than half of the entire world in brutality?
PS - European countries are no longer super powers... but the USA IS a super power... think why.
ofri75 5 months ago
@ofri75 Oh my mistake, guess I got confused when I saw your profile saying your country was the US. Guess you really must be Americas buttmonkey, you feel the need to put it as your country when it isn't. Sad and pathetic in my opinion.
Just so you know, Europe isn't a country. Ergo, you can't say that "europeans" murdered 50 million people during WW2, since most of those people were European, you idiot! The Nazi's wanted racial purity, something that's not exactly favoured by sane people.
TheRandyChimp 5 months ago
@TheRandyChimp - yes, it was your mistake indeed... I'm not American (I lived there for a while, but not any more) and I have nothing to hide, and I would be proud to be American of course.
I know Europe is not a country, but there is the EU, which is a union. Yes, Europeans murdered 50 million people, some were Europeans and some were not, but the point is that they killed so many millions out of racism, violence, and greediness. Most Europeans were nazi supporters or colaborators as well.
ofri75 5 months ago
@ofri75 That's such a lazy argument. Most europeans weren't nazi supporters or collaberators. Besides which, it's a pointless comment, since you're ignoring the fact that most europeans fought back against the nazis and kept fighting. And you want to talk racism against Jews, let's look at America for a bit, shall we?
Let's use an example. Charlie Chaplin: For a FUCKING long time, he was "accused" of being Jewish by many americans who saw being jewish as a negative thing.
TheRandyChimp 5 months ago
@TheRandyChimp Just like they currently "accuse" Obama of being Muslim. Americans can be so frustrating.
Skyifictionable 4 months ago
@Skyifictionable The man was born in Hawaii, didn't you know that instantly makes him a muslim in american peoples eyes? It's so obvious, amirite?
I know what you mean, it's idiotic and an example of how paranoid and brainwashed americans are by the media.
Even if Obama was a muslim, so what? Muslim doesn't mean terrorist, muslim means muslim.

ha ha EU propaganda. I think they missed two or three things in the vid :
-a single common currency : a disaster : prices rose everywhere , which it have destroyed the purchase power of the majority of europeans.
- no defense program : every european nation remain miltary weak versus USA and a total lack of credibility in foreign political issues.
- highest public debt ever : the bankruptcy of greece spain or italy will drive european economies to collapse and economic downturn for decades.
