I have nothing but disdain for a town that is so desperate for money that they build a jail on spec. and hope that they can deal in the warehousing and misery of human beings. Nothing would make me happier than to see this miserable little town sink into the ground over the debt they have incurred to create that shit-hole jail. Those that supported this idea are the very scum of the earth and deserve the worst things to happen to them. I hereby defecate on this filthy town.

Hardin might have been "willing" to take the detainees, but they sure weren't "ready" or "able." Wasn't even a legal facility.

Greg Smith got fired when he tried to turn this, not even close to "state of the art," jail over to a career California con man, in September 2009.

The pipes froze, the roof leaks, one Montana Sheriff, calling it a "warehouse," said it would be impossible to supervise because of its awful design.
