It's an awesome documentary you guys should watch it, it might not be well known but it's still very good
Under the pretext of constructing `socialism in one country', . Stalin orchestrated a massive famine in the Ukraine in which an estimated 5 million people died. It is believed that with the purges, forced famines, state terrorism, labor camps, and forced migrations, Stalin was responsible for the death of as many as 40 million people within the borders of the Soviet Union.
Redhammer I suggest you read this article about your "glorious Red Army"
"In one heart-breaking incident, a Berlin lawyer, who had somehow protected his Jewish wife from persecution throughout the Nazi period, was shot trying to protect her from rape by Red Army soldiers. As he lay dying of his wounds, he saw his wife being gang-raped."
@john992000 How about the MILLIONS of innocent women and children brutally murdered by Nazi hounds, who killed them without mercy. In Leningrad, the nazis deystroyed all trucks that carried needed supplies to the millions of starving people, who lived for 900 days under constant Nazi artillery raids. This was Murder. Or in Kiev, the Nazis promised the desperate citizens food and peace, and they lined them up in the streets, used the women and little girls for sex, and killed everyone else.
Ok, I have to be honest... The Pacific intro's not as good as the BOB one (in my opinion at least) - but they're both for very different stories of different wars and perspectives so I rekon they both work.
every american should kno this. all people, from anywhere around the world are human beings. i moved to this contry when i was seven. and ever since i had to prove myself twice as hard to get respect. everyone has a calling. no one on earth is useless no matter where their from, what they belive, or what they do for a living

i think the most emotional part is at 1:57 to 2:00 where it show Lt. Comptan see both his friends on the ground from a explosion that wounded both of them
D-Day and the entire Western Front was nothing compared to the sacrifice made by the men of the Red Army. 1 out of 100 red army soldiers that served in 1941 saw the parade in Moscow in May 1945. Do not speak harshly to the Red Army, we fought for the end of facism in Europe too. The Red Army fought for freedom. I love that the East and West came together to fight the evil of Nazi Germany, and I hope we can understand and respect each other as time goes on. Bless these and all heros of the war.
Yes. Stalin wasn't able to feed his men, 1 in 100 of them actually lived from 1942-1945, and the soldiers barely had any working firearms; let alone ammunition. War is a bitch enough, let alone being unable to fight one while you're there. I also hate the idea of dying when you retreat. The SOLDIERS were fighting the war, and they knew when they couldn't win the battle. The commissars were dug in way behind the front lines, and shot these betrayers. Bull crap.
What you say may be true, there were a lot of young men fighting for Russia. However, communism hasn't exactly provided the world with an peaceful Utopia where people live and work together as equal individuals, that isn't the nature of that idealism. In fact, the only thing communism has provided is death for 70 - 100 million people.
You are probably a good man, and so were your comrades who fell in the name of liberty.
@Goldenglimmer I don't believe I mentioned Communism once in my comment. I hate it when people speak about Communism and they have never lived under it. Stalin was not a Communist, but his succesor Khrushchev was and he denounced Stalin. The Great Patriotic War, not Stalin, was responsible for the deaths of millions of Soviets. You may not know this, but according to the Western sources Stalin's death count includes all of the casualties of the War, but that is never revealed publicly.
@Goldenglimmer Please keep in mind that the form of government means little compared with the /officials/ who run them. As an American, I am proud of our /system/ of government, however much I may dislike the politicians on both sides of the aisle who have the gall to do some of their programs in our name.
@Redhammer627 very well spoken sir, i dont think alot of kids watching this show would understand that though, they would just think american=good nazi+russian=bad
@Redhammer627 Watch your words; I do not think it is possible to trivialize /either/ of these two, titanic efforts made for freedom. We readily acknowledge the sacrifices of the Red Army, but in turn, note that those are sacrifices that were made by /all/ of the brave soldiers who endured this war.
@Redhammer627 Yes... but your beloved red army soldiers forced Poland to join communistic side. Not mentioning about little help that they gave to destroy Warsaw. I will never say "hero" about your soldiers. Hail to the Polish heroes!
The USSR did not fight to end Fascism in Europe because Stalin was just as bad as Hitler. He installed dictatorships in Eastern Europe and he kill tens of millions of his own people.
@john992000 The men of the Red Army fought desperatly and to the bitter end when needed. To truly understand these heroes, you must stand in their shoes, but I suggest you look up the Hero Cities of the USSR, particularly Leningrad, Brest Hero Fortress, and Sevastopol, and imagine trying to be there, where you fight without food or water for days because you are so far into enemy territory you don't get supplies, yet they fought for their people still...
@Redhammer627 Noticed that you did not acknowledge the all Stalin did was ENSLAVE Eastern Europe and butcher his own people. What the matter, you cannot acknowledge that Stalin was one of the worst tyrants the world has seen.
Did you know what he DID to the Soviet that were POWs? He SENT them to the gulags. Do you know what Americans did to the Americans who were POWS, the American Govt sent them to College for free!
@john992000 The info on Stalin is very untrustworthy. West says he kiled several million? Thats not even possible. The Patriotic War claimed over 30million soldiers and civilians, not Stalin. There were no suicidal charges like in your movies. Soviet POWs were sent back into service, not gulags. Only criminals were formed into units and after battle they were put into regular service. Yes people died under Stalin, I admit it, but a lot of it was other things, not his doing.
@Redhammer627 Mr. Commie did you storm Omaha Beach? Did you lay there screaming for your mommy holding your guts? Did you walk around that beach with half your head gone brain dead? No then shut it please,My Grandfather was on Omaha beach and I'll tell you right now those few hours were WORSE than ANY few hours the Red Army went through - They just pumped soldiers out to die,and they didn't fight for freedom - they enslaved Europe and raped,My Family in Hungary were slaves under your Red Army
@FWG I realize what i said may be disrespectful to western soldiers, but do not underestimate the plight of eastern europe. In Stalingrad over 1million soviets died taking with them over 1.5million germans. That is more than America lost in all her wars combined. The average life expectancy of a new recruit in Stalingrad was less than five minutes. 80% of axis was in eastern front. Western front had largest sea borne invasion, but east had largest battle, tank battle, air battle, siege, etc.
@FWG Also how could you say that the worst was in the West? I would love to hear you say that to my grandparents who died starving to death after 2 years in the siege of Leningrad. Be grateful, for if Germany had all its armies in the west those additional 10million Soviet casualties would have been on the US and Britain, and D-Day may never have happened. Oh btw thanks for D-Day, even though it was 2years late and by that time the Red Army had almost won the war. It was a waste of human life.
@Redhammer627 I ain't saying them worst was in the west,I'm saying stop disrespecting our guys - U.S.G.I fought just as hard and died just as bravely as a Soviet soldier. Your Grandparents were starving prior to war too and you should know that,Stalin was an evil crazy tyrant who killed 60 million of his own people. You also seem to forget the U.S.G.I was fighting in North Africa in 1942/1943
Souvenir day is not a tribute only for the americans, canadians and britain,it also include the german, the japaneese, russians, jews, french and all they others countries they had fought and the civilian
May The German Soldiers Not Be Forgetten There Is A Diffrence Between A Bad Soldier And A Good Soldier Rest In Peace American,German,British And All Soldiers Who Fought For What They Thought Was Right.
@JDAllSeasonsRemain my history teacher showed us a film about German high school classmate graduating, enlisting, fighting, and dying with each other. it showed how much they went through, just like us allies. i think we believe that they were just monsters, and with all the propaganda back then and even today, who's to blame. but they too were brothers.
this is the best movie ever. Just think if we didn't go to war with the Germans we will be under Germany control or under the Nazi control.
God bless the people on both side that they should rest in peace for ever
we give thank to the people that give their live so we can live in freedom and lets pray that there will be no more great war. so one's again we give our thanks to you AMEN
Best Series Ever made even if you didnt liek war movies you liked this my Mom loved this and she doesnt like war movies i love the! *Salute* to Darrel" Shifty" Powers
Actually most of them were a little younger than 18 and they came from the lower class. it was fight as a soldier or stay in the streets and all, so they picked up a gun and went.....but a good number were aobut 20 becasue they took paratroopers fromt he exsisting soldiers in the army to save money and trainning
I feel so bad and sick when I see the scene at :27. See them board a ship and know they might not come back is just sad. And the fact that they are leaving home at 18 or above must make them so nervous. :(
God bless the braves souls who fought for there countrys and died for others. Those brave men an women showd courage beyond what anyone has ever seen. Lets just hope this never happens again. Because knowone likes "dieing" for there country
the best mini series ever....the film makers made an outsanding piece of work....all the actors in this film were perfectly fitted to each of there roles...easily 10/10
While it may not matter, in my opinion WWII was one of those rare black and white conflicts. What I mean is that only in WWII does one get a clear sense of good versus evil, unlike the conspiracy-riddled, media-driven wars of recent years.
While the world today may not be the picture of peace and prosperity, we must always remember the greatest generation, the people that gave their last breaths so that we could even have a world to live in: those men, those soldiers, those brothers in arms.
Yep, though it's not technically Band of Brothers. It's more of a spinoff, being directed again by Hanks and Spielberg. This time the setting is the Pacific and will follow Marines in the war against Japan.
"F" all you morons that have no idea what this is about. It's pretty screwed up that history is being re-written in our classrooms, howver, if you quit smoking crack and weed long enough you can appreciate the many lives were lost during World War 2 that made it possible for you to sit here and talk stupid shit on the internet. Fukin loosers. You're mothers shoulda aborted you before birth.
my stepdad told me to watch this series and i didn't want to. I thought it wouldn't be that good. He insisted that i did so i started watching it and i couldn't be happier that I did. It's honestly the best world war II show or movie i've ever seen.
D-Day was just one day of many in a long, brutal war which took the lives of tens of millions. I honor my nations brave men and women every day I wake to another dawn in the True North, Strong and Free. God Bless Canada and God Bless the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces.
thats not even funny no war is good. There is no glory, no honour in fitein people every day. The greatest honour a soldier cud hav was 2 make it home again...
You are stupid. This war was good in the way that it stopped the bad Nazis. I can tell that you're extremely simple minded by the way you type, and try to explain things by the way.
no i write like this because its youtube not a book or something like that. Its the same as writing a text message so wise up. And i still stand by what i said, no war is good, there are no bad soldiers, only the leaders (aka hitler) although i will say the gestapo followed everything he said, so they were bad. All the ordinary German soldiers were fightin for their homes as well, hitler forced them to fight, he twisted his words to make it sound like he was rignt, so they would fight for him
Hmm. Seem like you just wasted ALOT of time. I still think the allied soldiers were the good guys, the Nazis were the bad guys. I realize some were good, in the fact they may have been drafted or whatever, but they were still wrong. I would rather of killed myself then have had to fight for Hitler...
yea so would i. But think about things from the German point of view; Hitler made it seem as if the allies were the bad guys, not the Nazis and as much as i hate to say this, he was a good leader and delivered his promised to the Germans for more support. And yes, obviously i would have been on the alled side, i never would have fought unless i had to, but i would have wanted them to win and am glad that they did and btw, look at this comment and my last one and youll see i can write properly...
Well McWiggles, that shows how much you really understood about that time. im not going to lie if i was there in Germany, i wouldnt have thought twice about joinning hitlers army, i would ahve run straight to it, i mean look at it through their eyes, this guy got them out of a WORLDWIDE DEPRESSION you want to be part of something that he is describing as glorious, he might ahve even saved your family by creating jobs, you owe this guy everything for he created what you had.
but again they didnt know about the camps they had for the jews, so you cant hate nazis, most people in Germany wanted nothing to do with the nazis themselves, only 33% actually got invovled in the nazis at all, so the soldiers werent bad.....you can never blame a soldier for loyalty to his country
Irish you are right on. My dad was first wave D-day and he never talked about it until he was almost 70 years hold. I could not believe what he was telling me and when i saw the tear in his eye i knew it was real. They say 1000 WW2 vets die each day so i say thank you and god bless.
Every soldier deserves their respect. We fought for others freedome. Europe fought for the same thing. Germany foght for thier country, Japan...... well I don't know but they diserve respect.
tupac, you are completely wrong!!!! especially with wwii, if you cant figure out what would have happened if we didnt fight, then you are an @#$%, aka an idiot. if was a good war , insofar as the reasons to go and the results of what happened.
the greatest generation!!! yes they were and still are. they are the reason i volunteered for combat duty in iraq. my way to pay back a LITTLE of the DEBT I OWE THEM.
World War 2 was the last war that was a good example of good vs evil. For instince Hitler needed to be stopped and if he wasn't then some pretty nasty things would happen and did happen but now the wars these days are pretty messed up and I am proud of anyone who faught in World War 2 because they were very brave and did what they could to stop Hitler
ww2 is not good vs evil, it is evil vs evil, war is alwas evil vs evil, it is never justified nomatter what, every generation thinks "their wars" are different, why the fuck do u think since the beginnign of man there has been war after war, probly has been millions of wars in history, none of them are good vs evil, war should never be something that is looked upon as heroic
Hay TupaclzAlive33 the British, US, Russians anybody who was with the allies never wanted to go to war in the first place and you are calling them evil. That's pretty fucked up. Now listen I am not in the mood for having an argument right now and I would rather just listen to this nice music so could you kindly shut your noise hole.
completely wrong. hitler was a nazi. a nazi is a person that liquidates a so called "inferior" race. hitler was trying to take over the world by killed innocent people. so you tell me, are the allies evil for stopping to slaughter of millions of innocent people? come on now.
My grandfather served as a pilot in the RAF then when the U.S entered the war went to the airforce for them. He said that he did anything he could for ground troops even if it meant taking his own plane down. God Bless the men who gave everything!
i recently was watching a story on tv about WW1, Britain and Germany would eat together during lunch and would warn them if they were told by other generals to bomb them with mortars. good times....
My GrandFather fought under General Patton, and served for 3 years in WW2... He lost many friends in that conflict... I am forever in awe of his heroism and the heroism and sacrfiice of "the greatest generation". That war unfortunately had to be fought and without QUESTION HAD TO BE WON!!! God bless all of our heroes, past and present!!!
"30 seconds!!! To go, Sarg!!!" Captain: Listen up!!!? Sgt: Alright men, those germans bunkers over there you can see, are very heavly garded and we need to take those nazi pigs down for 1 and for all brothers in this boat we wont let us take any retreat just forward for everyone in this countery "5 seconds, guys!!!" Clear on the road!!!" Soldiers: 1: Shit!!!? Am, hit!!! 103: Oh, God!!! 61; Fuck, Christ!!! I cant move, my legs!!! Sir. 87: We need, backup over here sir.
The Greatest Generation is the only thing to look for as inspiration in these times. We need hope. And Obama ain't it. God bless the Greatest Generation.
Obama is a joke, so needfullt6, you can kiss my ass, jackass... I'm in full agreement with TheJoester. Obama has all but destroyed this country of ours, in a little over 100 days. The damage is hopefully NOT beyond repair. But you keep running with your far-left, or liberal idealogy... Taking into account Obama's left0wing supporters view of "torture" and "war criminals", I'm assuming Harry Truman would be one as well, no?? Idiots... Our country has fallen so far, since WW2...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Sure, they were the Greatest Generation. So great that they were fighting for "Freedom" and against evil with segregated troops. Not to mention, it took another generation for Civil Rights legislation to get through, due to the utter hypocrisy of the so called "Greatest Genenration."
hey idiot, do you think your holy civil rights legislation would have come faster with out them, or if we lost WWII? they are the greatest, and your moronic comments prove it. thanks to them ass wipe, you got your precious legislation
today, i lived and worked in different countries as an engineer and visited 6 states in the USA. i was never marked as nazi and i appreciate that a lot. sure, i do not forget what happened in those days. but life has to go on. i'm quite happy that i don't need to defend freedom and i'm aware of this privilege to live in peace and democracy. but my grandfather was a beautiful mind and the best father / grandfather than anybody could ask for. just a soldier, not a murderer.
Let's hope we don't have to go through something like WW2 again. My grandfather served as a sergeant in the wehrmacht and suffered his whole life from the wounds he got in WW2. Being unemployed and under the reign of hitler he had not much opportunities to select how life goes on at the age of 20 to 25. Remember that before you judge my comment. Anyway i love the series.
I, unliem some people I know, understand that the German military in WW2 was just that. The German military. Just like the US military, the British military. Any military. They weren't all Nazis. They were soldiers doing the job that soldiers do. I respect them for that. Especially right at the end of BoB you get to understand this (when the German officer gives the speach to his men). They were soldiers, just doing what soldiers do.
I agree. I see that nearly every movie shows the german soldiers as the devil. Do you think someone can make a whole country turn to nazi just by a man saying a few words. Nearly every soldier wasnt a Nazi, they were threatened. If they didnt join the army and travelled away to fight, their family and themselves would be killed.
To heros2110. I am a grandfather. I served in the Australian military, I was never in combat. Both our sons serve Auustralia in the military, one has combat experience, he was lucky to survive, two died, either side of him.
That said, I know that, in your grandfather's time, if he did not 'volunteer' for military service, the penalties were terrible,- loss of status, house, land, concentration camp incarceration, even execution, State Murder..FACT! He had NO choice at all.FACT!.
I remember hearing a while ago from a 101st vet. He told me that he never hated the Germans. He said "I think that he wanted to defend his country just as much as I did." The Germans weren't evil. The Nazis were
I'm from Germany and yeah almost all people think that it was horrible what hitler did.
But if you know, hitler gave people who helped him high post, and all people did want it. But also revolts or rebellions were bloody beaten down, and the rebells were killed so who wants to be killed. And at this time everyone thougth that hitler will help German to Its old strongness, what was very false he is only responsible for lots of death, and terrible things, and try's.
a big problem is, a lot of people think, just because you were in the German Army you were a Nazi or horrible person. Its just not true. They served their military...their country...sometimes forced in, like Americans were. But they fought and followed orders. That does not make them a Nazi or someone who supports what happened to the Jewish people and other groups. They deserve just as much respect. You don't have to like them..they were the enemy..but they were boys too.
Yea.....people tried, there isnt always 300,000 people who instantly protest what he does....it starts out slow, a couple people then builds, but the power hitler had, when those couple people started up....they would be thrown in jail or killed. There were thousands of people killed during the holocaust because they posed a threat to Hitler politcally.....
he first dont shut up me :) but second, youre sorta right...
Not all German soldiers where bad, not at all... just have to say, if someone, politician or boss, says to you; go and shoot that family... every person has a choice and a responsibility to do what is right.
There is a basic of what is good and what is wrong...and killing children can NEVER be right... Like i said, this is an example, im not saying he or every other soldier was a killer...but there have been lots.. just not all

Goldenglimmer 1 year ago
@Goldenglimmer I don't believe I mentioned Communism once in my comment. I hate it when people speak about Communism and they have never lived under it. Stalin was not a Communist, but his succesor Khrushchev was and he denounced Stalin. The Great Patriotic War, not Stalin, was responsible for the deaths of millions of Soviets. You may not know this, but according to the Western sources Stalin's death count includes all of the casualties of the War, but that is never revealed publicly.
Redhammer627 1 year ago
@Goldenglimmer Please keep in mind that the form of government means little compared with the /officials/ who run them. As an American, I am proud of our /system/ of government, however much I may dislike the politicians on both sides of the aisle who have the gall to do some of their programs in our name.
GunboatDebater 1 year ago
@Redhammer627 very well spoken sir, i dont think alot of kids watching this show would understand that though, they would just think american=good nazi+russian=bad
hammer1727 1 year ago
@Redhammer627 Watch your words; I do not think it is possible to trivialize /either/ of these two, titanic efforts made for freedom. We readily acknowledge the sacrifices of the Red Army, but in turn, note that those are sacrifices that were made by /all/ of the brave soldiers who endured this war.
GunboatDebater 1 year ago
@Redhammer627 Yes... but your beloved red army soldiers forced Poland to join communistic side. Not mentioning about little help that they gave to destroy Warsaw. I will never say "hero" about your soldiers. Hail to the Polish heroes!

@Redhammer627
The USSR did not fight to end Fascism in Europe because Stalin was just as bad as Hitler. He installed dictatorships in Eastern Europe and he kill tens of millions of his own people.
john992000 1 year ago 3
@john992000 The men of the Red Army fought desperatly and to the bitter end when needed. To truly understand these heroes, you must stand in their shoes, but I suggest you look up the Hero Cities of the USSR, particularly Leningrad, Brest Hero Fortress, and Sevastopol, and imagine trying to be there, where you fight without food or water for days because you are so far into enemy territory you don't get supplies, yet they fought for their people still...
Redhammer627 1 year ago
@Redhammer627 Noticed that you did not acknowledge the all Stalin did was ENSLAVE Eastern Europe and butcher his own people. What the matter, you cannot acknowledge that Stalin was one of the worst tyrants the world has seen.
Did you know what he DID to the Soviet that were POWs? He SENT them to the gulags. Do you know what Americans did to the Americans who were POWS, the American Govt sent them to College for free!
john992000 1 year ago 3

FightWorldGovernment 7 months ago
@FWG I realize what i said may be disrespectful to western soldiers, but do not underestimate the plight of eastern europe. In Stalingrad over 1million soviets died taking with them over 1.5million germans. That is more than America lost in all her wars combined. The average life expectancy of a new recruit in Stalingrad was less than five minutes. 80% of axis was in eastern front. Western front had largest sea borne invasion, but east had largest battle, tank battle, air battle, siege, etc.
Redhammer627 7 months ago
@FWG Also how could you say that the worst was in the West? I would love to hear you say that to my grandparents who died starving to death after 2 years in the siege of Leningrad. Be grateful, for if Germany had all its armies in the west those additional 10million Soviet casualties would have been on the US and Britain, and D-Day may never have happened. Oh btw thanks for D-Day, even though it was 2years late and by that time the Red Army had almost won the war. It was a waste of human life.
Redhammer627 7 months ago
@Redhammer627 I ain't saying them worst was in the west,I'm saying stop disrespecting our guys - U.S.G.I fought just as hard and died just as bravely as a Soviet soldier. Your Grandparents were starving prior to war too and you should know that,Stalin was an evil crazy tyrant who killed 60 million of his own people. You also seem to forget the U.S.G.I was fighting in North Africa in 1942/1943

While it may not matter, in my opinion WWII was one of those rare black and white conflicts. What I mean is that only in WWII does one get a clear sense of good versus evil, unlike the conspiracy-riddled, media-driven wars of recent years.
While the world today may not be the picture of peace and prosperity, we must always remember the greatest generation, the people that gave their last breaths so that we could even have a world to live in: those men, those soldiers, those brothers in arms.

thats not even funny no war is good. There is no glory, no honour in fitein people every day. The greatest honour a soldier cud hav was 2 make it home again...
RealDougal 2 years ago
You are stupid. This war was good in the way that it stopped the bad Nazis. I can tell that you're extremely simple minded by the way you type, and try to explain things by the way.
McWiggles411 2 years ago
no i write like this because its youtube not a book or something like that. Its the same as writing a text message so wise up. And i still stand by what i said, no war is good, there are no bad soldiers, only the leaders (aka hitler) although i will say the gestapo followed everything he said, so they were bad. All the ordinary German soldiers were fightin for their homes as well, hitler forced them to fight, he twisted his words to make it sound like he was rignt, so they would fight for him
RealDougal 2 years ago
Hmm. Seem like you just wasted ALOT of time. I still think the allied soldiers were the good guys, the Nazis were the bad guys. I realize some were good, in the fact they may have been drafted or whatever, but they were still wrong. I would rather of killed myself then have had to fight for Hitler...
McWiggles411 2 years ago
yea so would i.
RealDougal 2 years ago

Well McWiggles, that shows how much you really understood about that time. im not going to lie if i was there in Germany, i wouldnt have thought twice about joinning hitlers army, i would ahve run straight to it, i mean look at it through their eyes, this guy got them out of a WORLDWIDE DEPRESSION you want to be part of something that he is describing as glorious, he might ahve even saved your family by creating jobs, you owe this guy everything for he created what you had.
acrc14 2 years ago
but again they didnt know about the camps they had for the jews, so you cant hate nazis, most people in Germany wanted nothing to do with the nazis themselves, only 33% actually got invovled in the nazis at all, so the soldiers werent bad.....you can never blame a soldier for loyalty to his country
acrc14 2 years ago

Being unemployed and under the reign of hitler he had not much opportunities to select how life goes on at the age of 20 to 25. Remember that before you judge my comment. Anyway i love the series.
heros2110 2 years ago 4
I, unliem some people I know, understand that the German military in WW2 was just that. The German military. Just like the US military, the British military. Any military. They weren't all Nazis. They were soldiers doing the job that soldiers do. I respect them for that. Especially right at the end of BoB you get to understand this (when the German officer gives the speach to his men). They were soldiers, just doing what soldiers do.
My geat uncle was in the RAF in WW2.
mrgiggles247 2 years ago

Kaesi93 2 years ago 7
a big problem is, a lot of people think, just because you were in the German Army you were a Nazi or horrible person. Its just not true. They served their military...their country...sometimes forced in, like Americans were. But they fought and followed orders. That does not make them a Nazi or someone who supports what happened to the Jewish people and other groups. They deserve just as much respect. You don't have to like them..they were the enemy..but they were boys too.

football864 2 years ago
Yea.....people tried, there isnt always 300,000 people who instantly protest what he does....it starts out slow, a couple people then builds, but the power hitler had, when those couple people started up....they would be thrown in jail or killed.
