Hey IceWarehouse, I'm deciding between the x60 or the totalone shin pads. The one thing i'm not sure about with the x60 is the straps. I like the snug fit and the rigidity of most calf straps, but I see the X60 has more of a mesh strap. I was wondering if you guys have heard of the straps losing the elasticity and therefore not keeping a snug wrap around fit (without the use of tape).
hey IW hockey i always seem to crack my shin pads on the top of the knee piece. i don't know how it happens but what would you recommend for durability and comfort
@icehockeywarehouse I have been using the last Reebok 6k shin guards. they fit nice over the tongue of my skates. need to get some new ones. what would you recommend that is identical to the 6k? thanks for the reply.
Hey Tyson. I'm a hockey player from canada and I have a question. Is there gonna be a new line of APX products for protective stuff like shin pads and stuff like that? I'm just wondering because I am outgrowing my old shin pads.
@OPTICKKILLA They are all pretty similar. The TotalOne might have the edge because it's the newest. The APX gear probably won't be released till the spring.
chose this over the 10k because as a forward i wanted smaller shin guards for better maneuverability. I'm not playing against pro's so I don't think I need the extra thick/large 10K's
dont understand the point of 100 dollar shin gaurds, i got a pair of mission 90's for ten bux on ebay brand new,, they got just as good padding as these
I have pretty big legs and tonight I had 3 slapshots in the back of my leg and it f****** hert! I seriously need new shin guards what type of shin guards do you know of that could wrap my leg well?
@IIExiiLedII Both have great protection and I do not think you would have any issues with either one as far as protection goes. If I had to pick one I would probably say the X60 because they are fusing the vent armor foam to the shin shell to up the protection.
@kronik658 Personal preference I would probably rank them as 10K, X60, 8K. Check out my facebook page "Tyson at IW Hockey" to see my personal ranks for hockey gear.
in all honesty..do you belive these are better shin guards to buy rather than vapor xxxx's? and i previously used reebok nd ccm shin guards and i felt they were to wide for my ankle...are these less wide?
@nhlmike26 They are fairly similar products. But I do like the liner and bottom strap better on the X60 shin. They are definitely narrow by the ankle than the Reebok shin pads.

@Jimmyo3 Never heard of the straps losing the elasticity, but go with the Totalones because the strapping system has a much better fell.

do the X60 work well when placing them over the skate tongue?
monsen86 1 month ago
@monsen86 Probably not the best because of the tapered design toward the bottom.
