Nice commercial! I'm still trying to figure out how to sync things though but so far it's a pretty neat app! Also; eh, Microsoft is a cool guy, shows guy using its software on a competitor's laptop and doesn't afraid of anything.
It's Probably The Color Is Close To That Of "Windows Default", that featured in WM5 and was carried in the background though 6.1 but now its back, if you look closely you see the "start button" in the bottom center of the screen and the existing sliding panel interface form WinMo 6.1 std and 6.5 professional and up.
did I see a Apple Mac book synchonize to a Zune???? this is either microsofts plans to get Zune on the Mac platform.. can really wait... this is awesum!
Using this on my dual boot Mac/Windows machine, my Windows Servers, my phone, and all things academia. This hands down has changed the way I run my life. I patiently await the client installer for my Zune and 360.
Kinda sad music...but cool commercial. Interesting that they showed the zune next to the apple computer and shows it syncing. A hint that they may be adding apple compability? Of course it might just be using the wifi in the airport. haha.
I love the Mesh concept. After viewing this add yesterday, I decided to take the plunge and started using it....AWESOME!
I really hope this is *tightly* integrated into Windows 7 and Windows Mobile 7. It'll be like having a roaming profile wherever you go, not matter whatever the platform (be it different OS's, mobile devices, or connected devices).
WEll, i think Micror$oft is finally starting to step up in life. Though it's sad that they haven't come up with much of their own ideas as of late, but if all is true win 7 will be a blast ( but still not as good as my ubuntu linux...)
Live mesh is actually a really interesting product. At the moment it's a tech preview platform but so powerful if you work on more than one pc. Once MS allow people to build applications ontop of the core mesh platform I think we're going to see a bit of a revolution in data storage.
I'm no Microsoft fan but I am a geek and this is a really trick bit of technology.
microsoft needs more ads like this.. but why is there a zune syncing with a mac? thats not possible!
jasethevase 3 months ago
This is the old live mesh. Its gotten SOO much better since they used that logo.
oneuptheextraman 5 months ago
This is actually funny because it shows a Mac user with a Zune. It's funny because Microsoft doesn't have Zune support for Macs.
fswmacguy 11 months ago
@fswmacguy the Zune is sync-ing the media player in his daughter's car

@AnLa061095 Why? Mesh works on OS X. It's very relevant and shows how cross-platform Mesh is to OS X users.

I also noticed the samsung hardware, they showed a HTC phone.
But did anyone else notice the two boys playing xbox on a Sony Bravia TV with the 'SONY' badge missing? Been painted over lol. Pause at 1:17 .
Anyways awesome advertisement, this may give microsoft the boost they need and deserve =D
