  • Where do you purchase the elderberries? Thanks

  • She going straight for wodka

  • Can you tell me what the average dosage is for this? Thanks :)

  • cute kid!

  • how long can you let a tincture "steep"?

  • i think my girls and I are going to do this today! I have a bunch of dried berries my mother gave me that i need to use. And the girls would love to help!!!

  • Hi there I was wondering if there was a certain amt say you have a quart or pint, often a cup of herbs is mentioned in the infusion video's. Is there another kind of alcohol one can use? I am allergic to vodka. How does one use this tincture mentions for a cold but how much do you take of the tincture? an adult? a child? I have a very sickly asthmatic at home who get so sick every year she misses many days of school and past giving her vitamins I have never known what can help this girls immun

  • Does the tincture need to be stored at a certain temperature? I live in Phoenix and sometimes the temp in our house can be around 82. Would I be better off keeping ticures in the fridge?

  • @celtic721 - should not need refrigeration....alcohol is a good preservative....but light (sunshine) will damage the quality of the medicines...so do keep your tinctures in a dark cool place such as in a cupboard or basement if possible.

  • Thanks so much, I make Elderberry syrup but it only last a short time. This will last much longer. Thanks again, and Spring blessings to you all.

  • victoria, we harvest as much as we can...but with two full time jobs and a small child, sometimes getting things done can be a challenge..sometimes we do rely on commercial herbs from reliable sources and we are not ashamed to admit it...we do have a youtube video of making elder berry tincture from the bush in our backyard....

  • Great job Monica-Jean! And Mommy too!

  • Is there a difference between elder berries and black elder berries, or are they the same thing? I can't find anything on this, and was always taught to look for black elder berries. I often wondered about this.

  • awww she is soo cute

  • So glad for another video! I've missed them! <3

  • If there were a LOVE button to push for this-that would be the I'd push for this one ;)

  • Thank you, very well done. It is so good to have the kids help, and getting them started young is great.

  • yay I'm so excited for another video!

  • Where do you buy those jars from?

  • @BeanIrene we get our mason jars from a hardware store - normally this size (half gallon) needs to be special ordered.

  • Monica-Jean is adorable! What a good job! :D

  • I am surprised you buy your berries? I would have thought you'd have picked and dried your own from last year...

  • she is developing into quite the little herbalists and she has good attention to detail too....we can't wait for spring to come.....its been a long cold winter in upstate NY.

  • @wisewomantradition Heck yes, it was cold last year!

  • I am definitely making some of that tincture! Too bad I don't have Monica-Jean with me to help ;) She's such a cutie! Thanks for posting

  • Aw she is adorable!!
