"GO AHEAD AND LET YOUR JONES GET GOOD AND FUNKY"....I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS LINE AS LONG AS I LIVE AND KNOW THIS SONG...EVEN AS A LITTLE BOY...I JUST KNEW HE WAS TALKING ABOUT SEX--BUT IN SUCH A DEEP WAY...
got dayummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm THIS SONG IS BAD AS HELL...WOWOWOWO! MAN THIS BROTHER IS LOVING THIS WOMAN HE IS TALKING ABOUT-THIS BROTHER IS GLAD TO BE MAKING DEEP LOVE TO THIS WOMAN...THIS WOMAN IS PLEASURING HIM AS WELL AS HE IS TAKING HER SHE IS TAKING HIM...THIS MUSIC IS SO DRAMATIC AND SEXY-CLASS-STYLE-LOVE-ROMANCE-THIS WAS THE ALBUM VERSION...MAN SO SENSUAL AND CLASSIC AND CLASSY...MAN THIS IS SO SEXUALLY INVOLVED-THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF THE LOVE SCENE IN SUPER FLY-1 OF THE HOTTEST
@mdlsmith right on!! The song is wonderful and not at all sleazy, "us" dudes knew how to get a lady back then, without the B word!!! or the discrespect of our beautiful woman. damn it is just so sadd how songs today r just no "class"... Sorry telling it like it is.
I remember this song on "Soul Train". It truly reminds me of Don Cornelius. He had a magic touch with all of the singers and their music. It's just so heartbreaking to know that he is gone. He was everything to music and to Soul Train. I am taking his death very hard. I know that this is what he wanted or else he wouldn't have done it so I try to deal with it but when I hear songs like this it just makes me think of him even more. Anyhow this is classic.
cmon now.... this song is too sexy.... curl it back let me soothe,,, go ahead let your drawers get good and funky... wow.... i was singing this song loud..looooong before i really knew WHAT i was singing..lol... boy but when i learned...smh..
@looksrdeceivn : I thought he was saying "let your jones get good and funky..." you might be too young to remember having the "jones" on something or someone. lol. My dad was hip and talked like that a lot.
I love your selection of songs by The Moments. In fact, I love just about every song The Moments sing/sang. However, I have not had any success in finding, on YouTube, their "Where" song, which is on their A Moment With The Moments 1971 LP. If you have that LP, could you please upload it?
NOW THIS IS HOW U SUPPOSE TO SING ABOUT SEX IN A VERY CLEAN BEAUTIFUL WAY TODAY SINGERS ...PLEASE TAKE NOTES. IM AT MY WITS ENDS ON HOW SINGERS TODAY SING ABOUT SEX ..."BACK THAT ASS ON ME", "SHAKE IT FAST", AND EVERY NASTY WORD TO DESCRIBE WHAT THEY WANT AND WHERE THEY WANT TO PUT IT....THERES NO HOPE FOR TODAY KIDS ON BEING SMOOTH WITH IT....JUST BLUNT NASTY WAYS TO GET IT. ..SMH
@mineurbizness You ain't lying. No foreplay, nothing, zilch. No finesse or class. Some of us get our feet wet before jumping in the pool right away. What can I tell you. Maybe it has to do with the way we multi task and want to do everything fast and right away. Where is everyone rushing to?
@mineurbizness i couldn't agree more..people just don't have the same respect for each other anymore and it shows in the songs we have to suffer, blasting away from the bedrooms of our once innocent babies.
@use2slam2 Great responce to your memory bank. I too remember those days, and I had that black light, and that Eight track. Ha Ha those were some sweet times.
@mdlsmith Exactly! That is what's wrong with todays music and artist. They don't know how to classy and sexual at the same time. A true artist can express him/herself in anyway but keep it classy and subtle!
The70's..... such a beautiful time for black culture & music.....Women were respected, social commentary, the message was love, Good Times, What's Happening, The Jeffersons, Flip Wilson, Sanford and Son, Naturals were cut tight, Soul Train Saturday Mornings, J5, Muhammad Ali, SOUL Brotha, Right on!!!....Shaft, Foxy Brown, Super Fly, Ice Cream truck in the hood, Afro pick with the Black Power salute on the end....BLACK WAS BEAUTIFUL!!....Lets get it back!! One Luv!!

There is a slow r&b song I think the name is "all i have" by The Moments.I can't seem to find it on utube.Maybe I have the title or group wrong,If you know what I'm talking about it would be greatly appreciated to let me know,Thx!
This is absolutely the most sensual cut ever made back in the day! A panty wetter for sure LOL! Harry Ray's voice was silky as hell. "This afternoon I know you liked me, by tonite you're gonna love me" Pure pimp shit! And i mean that in the best way! One of my top ten slow cuts of all time.
I live here on the border...I remember first hearing this song on a Mexican radio station! As the first opening notes of this song would play, a woman's voice would say: " X-R-O-K...Ciudad Juarez, Mexico" Great memories from somewhere back in 1974!
I remember hearing this when I was 5 years old. My parents would always send me outside or over my grandparents house usually after the first 3 minutes of the song played. Hmmm, curioser and curiouser.
1975 this playin on my 8-track in my bedroom with black light bulb on under the covers with my high school love, now 36yrs later 31 1/2 of those married(married Dec 16th 1978) still got this 8 track in the closet with 70 more in our closet. man anytime we listen to the dramatics, the moments,chi-lites,etc it just takes us back to the mid 70's "our time" and her watching me running the 60 yd high hurdles at the jersey city armory our huge fro's bellbottos platform shoes i'm chokin up now
@use2slam2 Its alright, cry if you want too. I want to cry everytime I reminensce, there was no better time than the late 60's and 70's. No matter what life threw at me the music of that era soothed me
@nadavh4 Oh yeah! I am a big fan of Laura Nyro from way back in the day. lol But I am open to all versions of any song, as long as they do it with soul.

@MrPee1969 Im 29 and wish I was born in 66. Some part of me tells me I'd fit in. I wanna hear more of this type of music. Many hip hop producers sample these beats.
@MrPee1969 You got that right! they are clueless as all get out! even if it was playing right in front of them they havre no Idea what so ever. So, so needy!
it feels like i was there!!! the 70's whenever i hear this song i can even smell it literally ive been here before i hava old soul of a fly ass nigga, tht was just oh so super cool had all the ladies and money!!!! livin the rich nigga E`SidE life.
@aliadaduncan OMG ... I totally agree. I was born in 1984. I have always enjoyed music and the style of the 70s. I feel I was boring in the wrong decade. I wish I lived in the 70s, I would have been 'off da chain'. At every club that was poppin' with a big afro, cute tight bell bottoms and halter top, and some bad ass high heel platforms!
Those commenting on the so-called "redundancy" - remember this song was out during the disco era - that's how music was made back then, and people loved it. Apparently, many still get it.

Makes me wanna build a time machine...the 70's were really beautiful. Yea...this is coming from someone who was born in 1992 :/
