  • I got something to say to the interviewer if you're such the musician why don't you play bass lines..seeing as though you had so much to say.

  • How come he interrupted Milk when he asked about samplin his basslines?

  • Lol I got ch'all @ 3:11

  • did this beat ever get mastered and put out?

  • Hammer Typ....So sympathisch der Typ. Black Milk!!! Grüße aus Deutschland! ;)

  • 22 people quantize their drums

  • Hell no! can't believe this shit!!!!!

he's buildin the sickest beat i've heard for a longer time within 5 fuckin' minutes!!!

u damn king, keep it real man!

  • what i don't get it how producers like this fella, kev brown, dilla and prem have so good drum sounds. do they come with the mpc or something.

  • @TheSinghFIRE good quality samples and EQ and a bit of compression

  • @TheSinghFIRE its because they are sampled from records/breaks or real drum kits. also most of them layer drums to make them sound huge.

  • a very underrated producer in the game MAINSTREAM that is...

  • I really wish he'd release this, it's definitely one of my fave beats he's produced. Would sound even more sick with a verse on it. There's producers out there who would kill to be able to make tracks like this and he does it for a laugh in ten minutes and doesnt even release!

  • did anyone bust on this? did he make a track out of it???

  • @askjrvbjkrfbvhjbdjf PS no I'm pretty sure it's not been used. He's working with live instruments a lot now isn't he so maybe it never will be either :(

  • ...DUde is dope...

  • Can anyone tell me what this dope sample is called

  • @JJhawklantern the masqueraders baby it's you.

  • Comment removed

  • this is real dope

  • This the blackMilk I like not to crazy about all the live stuff he has been doin lately

  • this the only interview where part two is more popular than part 1...and there is only sound out the left ear

  • Did he ever give this to anybody?

  • the sample truly sounds like it's saying " this one dilla dawg approves of "

  • @iamtekst Oh shit...it kinda does sound like that!

  • I remember when this video used to have audio in the left and right speaker. The gud old days. . .

  • anyone know what those drums are?

  • if you disliked this im pretty sure your fucked in the head.

  • nice equipment u got there

  • i wonder what sample that is

  • @821977 'Baby It's You' by The Masqueraders.

  • @FKRAPCITY

    Thanks

  • MY FAV YOUTuBE VID

  • that hi-hat is clean!

  • black milks drums are always on point

  • lol make this into a song before someone steals that shit from you!

  • the good thing bout Black Milk is that, not only is he an amazing producer with skills compared to Dilla, but also has a very humble relaxed attitude. respect.

  • @Patritz J Dilla was that way too, check out his studio vid.

  • At the 6:05 mark, when he get the loop right, and the dude in the back yell "whoa" that shit was genuine, u gotta love it

  • fire ass beat

  • Yo Black need to get on this beat! Or pass it to me haha

  • somebody plz tell me what that beat at the end is cake

  • @prophecy505 Slum Village - Fall In Love (Remix)

  • black is unreal!

  • @MrJPye o das racis!

  • i'm feeling the beat!!!! nicely done Black Milk!

  • Wow... to appreciate the song more maybe... smh

  • I sh$tted my pant's the first day i watched this video

  • the funny thing is, i only have an issue with why he considersit as a pre-pre-pre setup. 9th wonder only needed FL studio to make sick beats, and sometimes he still does

black milk is DOPE though, im diggin this

  • @8illmatic3 i think he means to make a track with vocals. not jus a beat. and he uses live instruments

  • @RAAB0601

oh no for sure, I see you you mean

  • @RAAB0601

    I see what you mean**

  • anybody know if anyone hopped on this beat? if so, let me know! i'm trying to figure out if he let an artists use it.

  • MIDWEST

  • This sound like sumptyn 50 would phuck wit nyce work dawg check me out.......

  • Yo wat sample is he using

  • Luv what your doing...if you get a chance check out my channel... keep hit 'm hard...

  • does anyone know where i can find this final beat? i love it !! crazy!!

  • i dig his advice on adding the hihat after the kick and snare. it def. gives it a more organic feel. like you're hearin' a real drum set

  • I have watched this a hundred times. I wish he would do this beat for real.

  • @admiral42 haha i second that!

  • word. ive watched this too many times to count as well. whenever i get a creative block makin beats i flip this on just to get the flow back. the make up of the beat is so simple but just watchin him lay it down with those 3 pieces is inspiring.

  • Black Milk is Genius

  • hopefully this sshh don't come out wack. haha

  • thats what i always say

  • MAN he just said sumtn dats goanna change my life forever!

    :))))))

  • ...i just love beats like that, with hooks and shit, well done

  • he kept on making a point that he was at the pre, pre, pre start up point....man, you could make iller beats with even less....all you need is a good ear...a good ear for shit on records man and you'll be set....

  • word! it's all about the sample

  • @BIGDO13 very good point alot of dont get that. it doesnt take alot to make dope beats just a very good ear, samples, and a mpc

  • whats quantom???? its quantize my friend

  • did he made a song off that beat because if he did tell me if anyone knows??? lol

  • i agree mos def. i dont quantom my beats no more.. thats 4 beginners..

  • i think thats black milks best beat raw beats are best

  • How often do you see your favorite producer start a beat from scratch?

  • If that beat made it to anyone's mixtape or CD, I need to know!

  • nope! i asked him on twitter b/c i wnted lol but he said that he erased it after the video was over

  • yea that kinda sucks cuz this sounded like one of his best beats in my opinion any idea why he threw it out

  • Lol. U r crazy, do your Black Milk research. Nowhere near his best work. You'll be blown away.

  • nah ive heard alot of his shit and ive done more than enough research, i just like this beat a whole lot and i think its top notch imo

  • mainstream aint ready 4 this...mainstream has never been ready for real ish

  • Unfortunately

  • TALENT!

    BLACK MILK! IS THA SHIT

I HOPE HE GETS MAINSTREAM RECOGNITION MOS DEF & JAY ELectronia ON A BLACK MILK BEAT - DAMN A DREAM

  • Black Milk my favourite producer to date

  • Legend

  • B, your too good for the mainstream that is out now. the D mostly along take over with other Midwestern hip-hop needs to the music industry....Steal the show like my cousin got his Monte Carlo stolen while visiting us in the D....

  • looking forward to the random axe album

  • like the drums where can i get those drums

  • why does the sound just come out of the left speaker??

  • @nelsoulbrandt video camera has stereo internal mic & monitor speaker was to left of camera

  • @nelsoulbrandt why r u deaf in ur right ear

  • @nelsoulbrandt cus its configured to be stereo but its just mono so it only comes out one, get it?

  • @Patritz jea sounds comprehensible :D my comment was postet 10 months ago i already got an answer;) but thanks

  • @nelsoulbrandt it comes out of both...left is just louder than the right.

  • @Germ20 haha yeh ur prob right.

  • @nelsoulbrandt camera wouldve only been recording in mono

  • The sample is the Masqueraders - "baby it's you"

  • Rep that D! RIP J Dilla

  • doppppppppppppppppe

  • damn, i wish this dude would rock a show in austin.

  • what sample is this? HOT

  • watch interview part 1 he shows it in there.

  • This beat is too much !

  • Popular Demand was incredible. Keep it up.

  • so fuckin pro. one of the best producers in my book

  • If any of u know how to hook up the korg with the mpc plz message cuz I need sum help with that

  • i think u have to plug the audio output in the microkorg and plug audio in in the mpc.. im not sure.. im thinkin bout getin a microkorg too

  • just look up how to sync midi devices with your mpc. they got tons of vids on youtube that focus on that.

  • you know what's really sic about this? he's not so full of his self that he wont show you how to make a sic beat, and get that swing feel. he's hip hop, each one teach one

  • He's right

  • This beat is so sick!! You know that feeling when you first fall in love with a girl? I felt like that with this beat. Wow, nice work milk.. Sick sample too

  • niggas is hatin on that action tho

  • Nah, its all good.

If they didnt hear it, they wouldnt know.

For all tha bustas giving me thumbs down, hit me up on AIM for track. (JussNYce)

  • yup to many producers sound to stiff

    PEACE!

  • if i could be sure people wouldn't spit useless gangsta and/or dirty south shiet on 'em i would give away all of my beats

  • well, indeed you could be sure most people WOULD spit stupid dirty south, pop ass rap on it. save the music, dont let them ruin it.

    peace

  • i agree 100 percent. i dont think i could let someone put that gangster bullshit over one of my tracks. especially if my shit was as nice as black milks

  • Did Black ever use this beat for anything?

  • nope! i asked him on twitter if he had it still, b/c i wanted him to send it to me, but sadly he erased it after this video :(!

  • His catalogue is huge... I guess he can afford to toss a few good bangers now and then...

  • he erased this beat?

  • yep

  • why?! It was sick as fuck!!!

  • i don't kno why but he did delete it.

  • He's a underated producer Milk is bananas

  • black milk too fucking ill. didn't even let the fucking vinyl slip off the mixer. tell me that shit isn't on point.

  • My man.. this joint it hot.... Word son... jsdrinkinagain - Similar sounds all have the soulful motown sound... You have to love it...

  • but i do appreciate him for keepin detroit scene alive... its good for the art

  • not a fan of his sound. too many cats out of the d sound the same. he is getting better all the time, still growing, but has some way to go. J Dilla ...RIP

  • I sorta think he was influenced by Dilla alot, as all of them are, but as far as the producers out in Detroit, i think he's better..he kinda has his own sound, he just used the influence from dilla and flipped it to make it Classic Black Milk.
