omg lucky u tht is briliant u should get chickens and feed them tht stuff tt is what we used to do and if u give them tht then they still get all the nutrients they need if it is varied but cool video i like ur style lol
I work as produce manager and even I am appalled by how much I have to throw away. It really makes me cringe. I try to save as much as I can by donating bruised apples and salads. I can't take stuff home for myself unless I pay for it.
@johnson1095 That stuff is a last resort for the homeless, Some of them rely on the food stores throw away to survive on and you should not take it unless you need it.
People taking more than they need is why the world is so fucked up its nothing but greed.
dumpster divers AREN'T being greedy. besides, the stores should not have put PERFECTLY GOOD FOOD in the dumpster in the first place. They should have givin it to the local homeless shelter OR to a free food place run by a church.
@jasan509 The laws are different in every county. I only had problems in Clayton where a cop stopped us and told us it was illegal there, I asked if he wanted us to return the trash to the dumpsters and he said "No." So we just left... locally no such troubles.
@soljaboy86 SELL THEM! Some people treasure the old stuff like that...just imagine finding a copy of Deep Throat. Not my cup of tea porn wise but its the first therefore worth money. I dived and found like 10 purses in a DG dumpster, sell at $3 a pop and free money
My newest video has 100's of name brand candy bars in it!!! All of it was perfectly wrapped nothing wrong with them! The Video is called "EPIC Halloween Dumpster Dive". The MASSIVE CANDY BAR HAUL is shown as a clip toward the end of the clip. The clip also has Zombie baby s, mannequins, and MANY, MANY MANY other different Halloween related things pulled from the dumpster. If you could help me get some views that would be FANTASTIC! FAV or share the video. I subscribed to your channel.
Dont eat the meat. It probaly was left on a shelf all day by a lazy broke shopper. Old meat is good dogfood, they eat roadkill and can stomach bad meat.
Try CVS, they have to get rid of product, whatever doesn't sell during clearance goes in the dumpster. I would never go dumpster diving myself, but I have friends that go.
When I was about 8 or 9 years old I found a dumpster full of Playboys...........greatest god damned moment of my life. You should bring your video cam next time, interesting videos.
I agree with most except when you say that its stupid for cops to enforce the laws about going through trash. There is a lot of identity theft in the US and a lot is found by going through peoples trash. Yes know people should be shredding everything that has information on it but sometimes you get so much junk mail you just end up tossing it, and that junk mail has your address and name, which is what identity theives need. So while I agree with most, going through trash should not be ignored.
It's a shame the grocery store throws all that away, why can't they just put them on final clearance and sell them at a ridiculously low price, beats throwing them out.
@Noyjeetut it's not really backwards, but it shouldn't benefit large corporations like Walmart. Walmart has been at the top of the fortune 500 list for some years now, so that's one instance of a company I believe shouldn't get those kinds of government benefits.
That's really interesting but sadly... I couldn't do it. I've been conditioned to think that anything that touches a dumspter is automatically bad. Even though I know it's not, i'd have trouble eating any of that food. But good stuff mate!
@McEvoy2006 Ya, it's not for everyone. And a lot of stuff we get conditioned to at an early age not to do is very hard to change later in our lives. I was very scared and nervous at first but I got over it pretty fast.
I used to work for PepsiCo and we used to regularly throw away unopened cans and bottles of soda. The amount of waste out of our facility alone was ENORMOUS. Just as a FYI, soda does has an expiration date and can make you sick if it's too far gone.
It seems like such a shame that a lot of that stuff gets tossed out, it seems like there'd be a shelter or something to donate it to. Hell, even haul it down to where the homeless people hang out... that'd be better than throwing it away.
This reminds me of a show I watched the other day on "Freegans". They are an anti-consumerism movement who aquire almost all their resources through dumpster diving. Interesting stuff.
Maybe no diarrhea but ill bet on a tape worm lol I could do the pop cans but not the food That's only cause we are hunters and could harvest food if it ever came down to it
My guess about the dumpster laws is the liability issues, if you get hurt or catch some kind of crazy disease you could sue. But you gotta do what you gotta do. We've found perfectly good stuff in dumpsters, fans, heaters, you name it. Stores don't want to deal with the warranty crap so they toss it.
Interesting video, and it's shocking to see how much good food that is going to waste in America. Hopefully there are more people like yourself who do this dumpster diving and help use up this food.
