  • sounds mean. Roooar.

  • Excuse me but why exactly? I like rotaries, but I like boxers more...

  • @Scumacher2008 panties r better

  • @brayt0n Sorryyy hahaha. Most Porsches don't have panties.... Not sure what you're driving then hahaha

  • @Scumacher2008 ur mrs? :L

  • @brayt0n Awkward. I don't have one anymore HA

  • @Scumacher2008 kuz she left you for me ? HA

  • @Scumacher2008 who settle when you can have both?

  • @diverseent So I'm going to have a porsche wearing my boxers and my girlfriends panties under the hood! hellz yea!

  • @Scumacher2008 so your saying rotaries dont make power? i guess you'd rather have the beefed up Volkswagen engine that cam with them stock.....

  • @diverseent Never said they don't make power... But they're kinda like a 2-stroke. Ungodly fast at times, but sound like a swarm of angry politicians....

  • @Scumacher2008 so why you say panties under the hood? figured your analogy meant they were weak. well i was looking for a 01-03 carerra to put an 13bREW into. actually found one that get hit from the rear... i considering the swap. should be fast as hell.

  • @diverseent Nah... I've seen what rotaries can do. They can be either really amazing or really unreliable....

  • @Scumacher2008 all about the care you use and the build materials... to many people see smaller and think there cheap and easy.

  • @diverseent Not cheap and easy by anymeans. Just, ya know, not quite as "strong" as pistons. And they get bad gas mileage.... Well, I guess in a racecar it doesn't matter unless it's Le mans.... But I have a friend with an FD RX-7 and his motor needs constant and expensive service. Not that I hate the car> I love most Mazdas...

  • @Scumacher2008 yeah its a common misconception. but yeah i loe me i own 3 rx7 and an RX2,, i have a collection going on lol i love em

  • @diverseent Which RX-7? I love the FD's. The older ones aren't bad either. Can't beat the power-to-weight ratio of those little powerhouses haha

  • @Scumacher2008 i own 1 FB, 2 FC's.

  • @diverseent Nice. i'm sure those are a boatload of fun haha

  • Porsche that sounds like a go kart with a body kit straight from Cars 2.

  • Comment removed

  • It's seems extremely fun to drive.

    Cheers

  • these cars were meant to have rotors.

  • The spoiler is so gay.

  • Germany and Japan get together again.... Who said history never repeats.

  • why the fuck .....facepalm i dont understand some people...the spoiler

  • @FyreFox94

    That spoiler is factory.

  • @FyreFox94 you NEED the spoiler that big on the car. it's not there for style you moron.

  • @c1rca101 first off im sure this car can get by quite fine with a smaller spoiler..there are cars twice and thrice as powerful as this little Porsche and they have much smaller wings. its most likely causing more aerodynamic drag and hurting performance versus gaining performance...and it is adding unnecessary additional weight to the car, you could get a spoiler half this size and have just as much or more downforce with a bit of tuning so who's the moron now?

  • @FyreFox94 Aero dynamic drag all depends on track you are driving on, and only really effects a car on high speeds.

If you are on a track with quite short distances between corners then having more down-force will not effect Aero drag as the car never gets enough speed for the drag to take effect.

But if you are on a track that has longer distances between corners then it pays to carry a little less down-force as the car has the ability to get to higher speeds.

  • Yo! We're aint got enough downforce, how do we get rid of that problem?

i got it, a bigger spoiler.

  • daaaaaaa fuck is that shit

  • nice

  • This Rotary sounds like 2 stroke when idle.... Is it the same case from RX7s engine?

  • Amazing, What tranny do you have? What adapter did you use to couple to tranny?

  • @247yap - Also, what is the performance numbers?

    Thank you.

  • Spoiler needs to be bigger. LOL I love this car.

  • Holy shit this thing looks like it's gonna fly or some shit.

  • Gay

  • i feel like that rear bumper is gunna melt since the exaust is behind it

  • the spoiler alone is 600 pounds

  • @fuzzyo88: ahem... measured in lbs of downforce or weight? ;-)

  • @manxcafe weight

  • @manxcafe weight is what i meant but it could be both :P

  • Most of you dont realize the Rotary engine is made by a German... (Wankle, sound Japanese to you?...lol..no) which is why this is totally ok, the japs just took it and made it better, but design is german plain and simple.... Still love my 82first gen and 92 third gen

  • @KirbSleep *Wankel

  • @FUGGINGMAD thanx for the typo correction..lol

  • @KirbSleep Your welcome, other than the typo i completely agree!

  • I'd be willing to bet money this car would destroy most other purpose built track cars porsche or not. Its lighter, easier to rebuild, and a more reliable motor. Also a LOT cheaper if you know what you're doing. Rotary motors are pretty simple and straight forward most people are just too stupid to realize it.

  • Not a swap I'd choose myself, but how many rotors in this engine? is it a single rotor? I only ask because of the Australian BMW rotary... nothing like stacking rotors for insane speed!

  • i have never seen a wing with a rotary engine and wheels before

  • ya, but that guy or whoever owns it is taking away porsche theory, light car, rear engine chasis and an engine that makes modest power.

  • @Vyssockdude1 most porsches are much more then "modest" power. That little 1.3L (possibly) doesn't weight much, and porsches are designed for the track, not a straight line.

  • @thedominionx i also own a 1980 911 sc weissach, on the dyno it makes 192, i said nothing about straight line acceleration, there a purpose built track car, all im saying is why use a jap motor in a german car

  • @Vyssockdude1 lol you didn't say that, because that japs design motors the exact same way, just with inline 4 cyl's, not i6's or flat 6's or rotary.

  • @thedominionx ok, ya, but german flat 6 swapped for a jap rotary engine, most guys would shun this car

  • @Vyssockdude1 felix wankel look him up! he is the father of rotary engines! check his origin.

  • @josephrx2 ya ya, he's german already new that, some how i dont think you have yet caught on to what im saying, JAP ENGINE IN A GERMAN CAR

  • okey, you just killed a Porsche =(

    RIP

  • Ya i agree with that LFS guy, a porsche rsr motor would handle that jap engine, and it ruins that car

  • @Vyssockdude1 no affence, but i really dont know whats wrong with what this guys done, just as light as the 4cyl it used to have, now with more response and in some cases more power

  • big enough wing, lol

  • Doesn't do it for me at all. Everything is wrong about it.

  • I luv it! I would only kill the wing.

  • No, it's a 2 rotor engine.

    Modified 12A.

The previous owner put these video's on Youtube.

I bought it some time ago...

  • is that a 4 rotor?

  • yea man !!! too cool !, the best of both, porshe engeneering and mazda POWER!

  • @alex325is sadly, Porsche pushed 1500 bhp 917 in qualifying trim, thus rendering your "best of both - Porsche engineering, Mazda power" comment incompetent. If you want best of both you go Porsche engineering - Porsche power. Except for this 912, which recieved a crappy 356 leftover engine at birth

  • @LFSvidMan u sir are an idiot for not seeing the potential of a mazda wankel engine, have u even looked at the figures they can produce in relation to their size and weight ? plus with the position of the engine in the car a heavy engine at the rear would simply be detrimental to the handeling, rotaries rule man and ure just ignorant

  • @alex325is You sir are retarded by flat out attacking anyone who shows a sign of not agreeing with you over the internet. If Rotaries would be such a "way forward" we'd see more results than a bunch of people drifting in RX7. Real motorsport results also show 1 win at Le Mans for a rotary vs 16 for the boxer engine. And porsche racers earned their respect by taming the butt heavy 911 models, pussies ofcourse might want an easier handling 911, but not real automotive enthusiasts.

  • @LFSvidMan Had a look at your channel, seems the only experience you have of driving is in computer games or maybe dreams, what would you know about engines anyway??

  • @therealpodge fuk off

  • @mikeydfed stop sending me gay private messages ya little homo!!! I do not like men or boys ya fag!!

  • holy fuck that spoiler looks like an oversized STI fin

  • except that its a porsche fin thats been around way longer, right?

  • nice car, disgusting colour

  • Fucking beautiful car and it sounds good. To bad you fucking ruined it with the ricer spoiler.

  • God that's ugly!!!!

  • Be patient....

There will be a few good movies soon....

  • did you just start it?? cuz it's was idleing a lil high ,but nice ass car

  • This car is currently for sale in Holland.

What are the spec's of this car?

    Weight, bhp, speed....

  • you have website where it is listed?

  • this video is bare cunt why dont u show us it in action let us hear some rpms. no one wants to see a car idling

  • That's the best thing about cars like 912's and 914's. They're kinda like the bastard children of Porsche, and nobody really cares if you hack them up. I like it, but I agree with tdblues: Show some engine porn.

  • I agree.

  • man, you could have a picnic on that whale tale!!!

  • stop playing with us, show us engine porn

  • I was looking forward to seeing the motor,

so why didn't you actually show your rotary engine? better yet, let's see it in action!

  • its not huge...its hugemongusss!!!

    lol

  • Dude the spoiler is huge !!! : /

  • Yes, its a GT2 Spoiler. on the side-wing is normally the inscription "GT"

    5* for that car

  • Sorry guys dont let idiots with no Idea on your youtube account because they might make a comment like the last one and make you look like a fool

  • rotaries sound cool when they idle

  • @rufusvonstorm

    Peri ports FTW

  • @rufusvonstorm like brap brap brap xD

  • Why does it have such a big wing... is there a purpose? cause if not it looks like it's weighing the car down.

  • Doh! I was hoping to see it move - rather than just sit there, idling! ;o)

How much does the thing weigh? (I'm guessing that it's under 1,000kilos?)

  • Probably around the 900kg mark.

  • Good, someone gave that Porsche a real engine

  • English please.

  • If you're going to try to insult someone, at least use proper English. It's "you're", not "your"... You cum catcher.

  • @supremewhip

If ya r going to insult somoene, atleast use the reply so ppl know who r ya meaning with ur insult commend,

    ya darn insult thrower! ^.^

  • @MikkoMuhis First of all, the comment was posted a year ago before Youtube had quote tagging. Second, your post makes zero sense. Please learn English.

  • @supremewhip

Well, I do know English enough well. And my post made sense.

  • @MikkoMuhis You clearly don't.

  • @supremewhip

    Actually I do.

  • that wing is way to huge...no offense but the engine idea is sick

  • shes beautiful!!!

  • Wow, a racing 911 with an engine that will last longer than one season.

  • lol a 13b? he wont make it half way through

  • it wont last long if u thrash it. rotarys are gud engines if u new a bit a bout cars...

the only reason they stuff up is cause every1 races wif em they do burnouts and they thrash the shit out of themm they can last a long time. for example an elderly person could drive a rota for mor than 10 years with out the engine blowing becuz they wudnt thrash it or make it a bridgy or do enyfin

  • not entirely. If you DONT thrash a rotary now and then(red line) the carbon builds up on the apex seals which causes them to fail. A regular red line through some gears will prevent this.

  • What about the bhp output ?

Does the car have its regular gearbox coupled to the rotary engine ? It was a 4 speed g.box if I correctly recall -

  • ummm, the car is cool and all, but there seems to be a small house stuck on the back of it. is that where you sleep between races?

  • Mazda engine inserted into a Porsche bodyshell

    ......Ferdy will appreciate!

  • of course he would. Both are german inventions... Im surprise porsche didn;t use a rotary in there Boxter or something.

  • to mustangflied- HI!

did Mazda win a Le Mans 24h. years ago ?

  • they won it 3 years in a row in the early 90s till rotary was banned

  • to phantomfusion - thx.for info -

Eventhough it was a german born engine,it

has been rarely used even on german cars ...

They surely have thought about it and I wonder

    why they gave up.

  • They used a cool rotary engine in the hub of both wheels of a motorcycle once, saw a picture of it was pretty cool

  • Porsches are known for boxer engines, Straight 4 to be exact. WRX also has the same concept of using the Boxer engines

  • flat 4. Straight 4 is something that you find in a civic or evo.

  • my bad, I meant a straight 6.

  • Porsche mostly is flat 6, indeed there are some older ones fittet with a flat 4 (356, 550 spyder, 914 for example). Straight 6 can be found on a bmw.

There are just a few porsches (924,944,968) fittet with with a straight 4 and the 928 was V8 equipped

  • thats what people don't understand the rotary(wankel) is a german designed engine, just like other technology in most of these japanese cars started from german engineering

  • Yes. Japanese engineering is very close to german engineering . They Kind of helped each-other out. Subaru uses Boxer 4 engines. the Boxer engine was partly a German design. The germans loved the boxer because it was and still is the perfect engine. Its perfectly balanced. Wankel sold his first engines to mazda. Old mazda and wankel go back a long ways. Hell, the germans invented the 4-stroke engine. The germans pretty much invented everything automotive.

  • the subaru i have to disagree, not perfectly balanced i've owned 1 of those horribles things a V5 STI also unreliable. the most well balanced engine from my perspective is the rotary... right though the rev range is smooth with only 6 moving parts opposed to 50 plus in a piston engine.. unless of course it is ported but thats only at idle

  • The Boxer engine is perfectly balanced. There are No balancing weights anywhere on the engine. Think about it. The cylinders are opposed, canceling each others energy. A V engine is very unstable, an Inline is horribly unstable. Rotaries can be stable but all the momentum is circular, wanting to spin the engine.

  • i think the concept of the boxer sounds good, low centre of gravity ideal for a rally car, but personally i didn't think my v5 felt balanced well at all (thrashed?). my evo 3 was just as balanced after removing balance shafts (lol) and the after market cams. You're right tho there is no counter weights on the crankshaft or a harmonic balancer

only flywheel balancing like most engines. tho apart from the mistubishi 4g motors which need balance shafts for smoothness

  • lol i laughed when reading your comment. balance shafts in the crank case is ancient technology, if an engine has them it oviosly needs them the counter act crank rotation, hense the name counter shaft.. by removing them you are promoting all kinds of stress to components and mounts.

  • ok mr "i'm the man" don't complain to me bout it complain to mitsubishi motors.....

most people in the import scene remove balance shafts on the 4g63 engines ...

Do some research before adding your comments, the balance shafts on the 4g mitsi engines were for idling smoothness.....

You no how i no this ? i work on them every day!

  • wankel didnt sell the first engines to mazda.mazda bought the licence to make them.nsu were the first to use them and also norton made a motorbike with one in it,citroen also hade a rotor model and mercedes had had first quad and triple rotor setup in the late sixties early 70s in the c111 concept car

  • i thnk he ment wankel sold the 1st production rotarys cause rotaries were originally in planes and as u said a motorbike and concept car

  • wow my old car thats killer glad to see some 1 put gages in

  • nice video! xD B

  • thats not 68, 78 more like

  • Nice conversion, too many haters crying at cars being modified. Hope you have a great deal of fun with it. I see a lot of much younger Porsches totally destroyed in road accidents, yours has reacheda grand old age!

  • one hellatious combo!

  • great car made even better!!

    great engine.

  • now thats a great example of taking something thats good, and making it SWEET

  • just so yall know, the germans invented the rotary engine ;)

  • and the US invented nuclear bombs, now hush.

  • no sorry your fucking wrong idiot (evilsinz), the scientists were from germany working FOR germany before they defected to the US... thank you... dumbass, go wiki it and save yourself the embarrassement

  • You better put some lube on this reply before reading it.

Exactly what part of Germany is "THE MANHATTAN PROJECT" named after?

The "Father of the Atomic Bomb" (Oppenheimer) was born April 22, 1904 in NEW YORK NEW YORK.

The closest relation Germany had to the bomb was from 8 of Max Born's students, assistants and colleagues that left Europe to work on the Manhattan project.

Some German's prediction for fission wasn't dropped on Hiroshima.

    mach es dir selber Nazi

  • lol @ go wiki.. some real facts there

  • yeah, felix wankel, german engineer, invented it in the 1950's and the first working prototype was done in 57

  • nothing to be proud of

  • Well, in all fairness.. the rotary is a much more effect killing device. those Nuclear bombs are no match for the pollution and car accidents.

  • lol, I'm sorry that it's faster, smaller, and makes sense to put it in there.

  • Didn't need a detailed statement, 911SCBoy.

  • Porsche 912 - aircooled boxer FOUR

  • Amen

  • @TheOtherDimension this goes against every part of me

  • For adwi123. Why is this the biggest insult to Porsche fans? Fantastic engine in a brilliant car. How can you go wrong?

  • im not diggin that whale fin

    but its alright

  • nice car

  • that is the sexiest car

  • this is the biggest insult for a porsche fan =.=

  • Indeed :P But on the other hand it's porn for us who aren't true Porsche fans :D

  • yes...i agree. why? go for an rx7 man :D I understand though...sometimes you just love a certain body style but a diff. engine. however, i'd prefer the rx7 flat out...engine and looks :D

  • why, why , why?....it's useless!

  • turd

  • This gay took the Engine lid off the 993 GT2. I can recognise that part from miles away

  • damnnn...look at the wheels..im so horny...

  • an aircooled flat-6 is lighter than a rotary

  • sweet, any sites or links where i can get more info on the rotary swap? Ive searched google and cant find much info. i know of the kennedy adapter.

  • i bet that massive spoiler adds like 50 more hp. lol

  • why? lol what's the advantage?

  • Cool track day special, I see the idea of replacing the large boxer with a little rotary to help prevent understeer. Not a great idea for the road but as a track car its great, good to see someone trying to think outside the square. Are there any vids of it on the track?

  • sacrilege to both porsche and mazda

  • "the spcial of this car is, get a mazda rotary engine, as people might older porshce engine are heavey and not very effection, so with light weight rotary engine make up a very good combo in this type of car in my opion"

i pray to god english isn't your native language

  • Rotary engines are in fact not as efficient.

The Porsche motors are not heavy.
