In all seriousness though, Costello has made Spectacle great by bringing on old pros and accomplished new artists. The Jonas Brothers are neither.

Jonas Brothers are just a FAD. flavor of the week, 'whats in', the new 'thing'. anyway, i can undestand you enjoy them, because they have catchy songs. but i wouldnt neccassarily rank them on board with people like Elvis, Bob Dylan or David Bowie (now THEY are passionate artists), thats why i cant take TJB seriously and disagree that they should be on the Spectacle.

Secondly, i hate what they stand for, the music is almost secondary, but its what they are about that bugs me, they are a symbol of marketing and conformity. thats what im trying to convey. you dont have to make it personal. its not judging them, there've been bands like them since the 90s, their music doesnt take much to get into or absorb.
