  • FANTASTIC VIDEO!!! I love your method for teaching this!----I am going to have to try it with my girls!---Kathy with Liz/Breeze/Cricket

  • Great stuff, made sense the way you tought her well done to you both, xxx

  • thanks for your lovely comment :-) Holly sends you a hug!!

  • Very nice!

  • Wow, another great video! I love the step by step info and demos, and once again I don't need to go out and buy gates and x-pens, etc. Thanks soooooo much! You also make me think more seriously about getting a camera to document Maui and my adventures with all of this. Any tips on this?

  • hey, thank you for all your lovely comments :-) I use a flip video camera, I think there are better ones out there but it wasn't much money and there are no features to worry about, just press record and you are away! then I used Windows Movie Maker to edit which comes with windows (if you use windows) and is really easy to use, I have moved on to other software now but Windows Movie Maker is great to start with, I film quite a lot of my training sessions and then choose what I want to keep.

  • Thanks so much, (again!) for such a quick and detailed response. You're awesome for taking the time to help. May your days be filled with joy and happiness!

  • thank you and yours too, what a lovely comment :-)

  • thank you so, so much :-) Holly sends you big woofs and wags from Scotland.xxx

  • Your Collie looks just like mine, same markings, but mines a he. Excellent work, she is very well trained.

  • ooh, I'd love to see him! that would be funny to see a boy version of Holly :-) thanks so much for the nice comment, it means a lot!

  • I've learned it another way but this is one is also an good way to learn the backwards weave .

    Nice job !

  • You make it look so easy! I love your teaching videos, keep them coming! Someday we will be at this stage but right now we are just learning to back up! (thanks for your help there, too!) You and Holly have motivated me to keep pushing ahead. :)

  • loved watching this-brilliant

  • thanks so much, it means a lot :-)

  • That was rockin! Well done Holly!!! :)

  • hehe, thanks Emily :-)

  • I love it when my youtube update comes with new videos from you! I have to master backwards circles first and am going to get on it. Thanks for another great tutorial.

  • that makes me so happy to hear you say that :-) people who take the time to watch and comment on my videos are what keeps me motivated to make more so thank you very much!

  • Gotta luv Holly...she's so smart!!

  • she wags her tail at your kind words :-)

  • Sian - great video. I love how you treat off to the side to line her up for the next circle. Brilliant! :-)

  • thank you so much, you really are one of my best friends on youtube. we have that dog nerd bond now :-)

  • Excellent!! Holly is so gorgeous!! I love her markings, and she does a wonderful backward weave =) ~Heather and Jesse~

  • thank you so much Heather, you and Jesse are a total inspiration to me :-)

  • Great Sian - more inspiration for me - though we've got to master reverse backward circles in the opposite direction first - we've cracked one way. However, when we start attempting backward figure of eight I really can't rule out I will end up on my backside! Balancing on one leg is not my forte :)

    Sue

  • haha! I'm sure that you will be doing backwards figure of eights in no time :-) maybe steady yourself by holding onto a wall ;-) I don't want any injurys resulting from my videos! xxx

  • well done.

  • thank you so much :-) hows the training to pull going?

  • AMAZING!! This is an awesome video Sian!I wish I could teach Dude to weave but he is too big to get through my legs now lol. Maybe my next dog should be a minature eh?? Love Yvonne

  • oh thank you :-) hehe, Dude must be so big now! he is such a lovely dog, I wonder what he would think of it if you got a little dog?! xxxx

  • I am not ruling out a minature labradoodle, but to be honest I think Dude would be a bit jealous of another puppy. maybe I should wait until he is a bit older eh? :D xx

  • hehe, he is top dog at the moment :D I thought that Holly would be very jealous when I got Mabel, she was so upset for the first few days and then she decided to be best friends with her and they are always together now :-) so who knows?! xxxx

  • Sian this is brilliant!! Your such an amazing trainer! Holly is wonderful! Great work my wonderful friend!

    xxxx

  • hhaha, thank you so much Sarah, my lovely friend. big hugs. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Another great tutorial! :)

  • thank you so much :-)

  • I loved this video!!! Thank you very much for all the instructions you sent me with the email. My puppy is arriving next week, and I'm all excitement and happiness!

As soon as she gets older enough to learn her first trick, I'll record it and send it to you.

    Cheers,

    Gill

  • oh wow! I'm so excited for you :-) I would LOVE to see a video of her so I'll hold you to that! it's just the best time ever when there is a fresh puppy in the house!

    Sian. xxx

  • Como siempre....Felicidades por tu trabajo

  • gracias :))))

  • Glad to get to see another of your great training videos, Sian! Holly does fabulous backwards weaving! Ricky is learning to do backwards circle the other way (starting on my right side is much easier for him than on my left), so soon we can try your backwards figure 8! And we are still working on backwards crawl - he does crawl backwards but not very far yet!

  • oh that's great! Ricky is so smart :-) can't wait to see his new tricks :-) backwards crawl is pretty hard so you are getting on great! keep me posted on your training.

  • What a fantastic video, Sian! Holly is so smart. =) I'll be definitely giving this a try and checking out those links.

  • oh I'm so glad :-) you're such a great friend! xxx

  • That's amazing training...Holly is super smart!

  • Great ideas! I taught bandit backward weaving, but I really like your method better. It looks like you will get a better end product with your method.

    COOL! 5 stars!

  • hehe! thank you you are always so lovely, I just love your training and it means so much to me that you enjoy my videos because I LOVE yours!!!

  • Fantastic tutorial:)! At first, I thought it was backwards leg weaving, but the backwards figure 8 was so much cooler:)!

    Happy Clicking!

  • Great job! We'll have to try this!

I just got Jessie to go backwards around me. Incidentally, I use the hand hand cue you do!

  • thank you for your lovely comment :-) I found this pretty easy to train once Holly knew how to go backwards around me in both directions. good luck and let me know how it goes :-)
