@Introbulus This dosn't happen in zsnes though (or didn't at one point, I have to check more details about this). Zsnes seems to allow loading states without overwriting sram, though logically this would be a problem in some games, since sram can be used as normal ram too. I think it keeps track of how much sram is "battery" (saved) sram and how much is not though. I may be wrong.
This video made me laugh so hard. Would think you would have learned to savestate during the first 2 battles and then you go and die again. Priceless.
@LINKGCN123: This is the "Westernized" spiritual sequel to Secret of Mana that we got in the U.S. It shares some of the same mechanics but it was made by a different development team.
@LINKGCN123 yes and no. It's made by square USA, on the same system. It's a NA exclusive, made by an American developer off a Japanese game system for an American audience.
tl;dr this game is the reason why we didn't get Seiken Densetsu 3
I also wonder why didn't you grind the Laser Spear up. It would make the final battle easier.

This boss music sounds like something to come out of a Star Fox game.

Fun fact: If you load a state, you lose your save because it never happened.
I learned this the hard way. And that is 5% of the reason I never finished my LP.
