You guys have some big pike, it would definitely be worth looking into. In CT in open water we are allowed 2 lines and they must be attended. I'd be surprised if it didn't fly in RI
I am very surprised this is legal. I am in Rhode Island and although I have not looked into this I would bet my last dollar it's not legal. It's not ice fishing if you don't have ice period. Here we would not be allowed to use more than 2 poles at one time to fish. Ice fishing we can have 5 traps or 4 and a jig rod. While it is a very cool way to fish and a great video, I'd have to question the legality of it.
@pilgs90 Doesn't this just suck???? Here in CT we should have been fishing for close to 3 weeks by now. It has gotten wicked cold, but the wind is blowing... We just can't win. Good luck in Michigan!
u should try taking a fly rod or just a normal baitcast reel and take some like 70lb. test and just horse the fish in if u catch a fish every 2 minutes. its fun espicially on full drag!
he's on the connecticut river i think. Ice shiould be good up there now I know ive got ice where i live here in LI on the shallower lakes. Doin some ice fishing tomorrow as a matter in fact!
