  • this cpu may be fast, but not as fast as i muted this video

  • @Icemanaxis Your the idiot. You can overclock both ways.

  • Phenom™ II X4 955 Quad-Core or i5 2300 ?

  • would i notice a difference in performance of my pc from a (AMD Athlon ii x4 640) to a (Phenom ii x4 955) ??

  • Your case??

  • @Icemanaxis

    what happened?

did ur boyfriend just leave u?

  • @Icemanaxis its not a pc of the 90's fucker watch again at 0:45 you see the temp of my MB

BTW this software is from my motherboard and its overclocked in the bios from 3.2Ghz to 3.5Ghz

  • is the original fan is good to OverClock?

  • is a cooler must buy ? i mean cant you use the stock one ? damn amd

  • is de amd phenom II x4 965 niet beter? en is het een goeie cpu beter dan intel?

  • great video man. But that thing must sound like a jet when it fires up. haha

  • 3.9GHz & 1.4375v? ...I had to push voltage to 1.4875v with my 965BE or BSOD...

Does yours BSOD during torture testing with 1.4375v?

  • I have a P!! 955 and i only get 11000 on Vantage!!!

  • What CPU in the i5-series could this be compared to?

  • i have this CPU it runs a little Hot but i have it running at 3850MHz so i guess thats normal "Great CPU"

  • How do you make that bar in the top of your home screen?

  • do you advice your cpu? it is now 1 year old u still advice?

  • sure, a i7 advertisement at this video xD

  • is amd phenom ii x4 is better that core 2 quad qx9300?

  • @Frost4k by alot

  • @The91489 proof?

  • i have 2 i7 pc and 2 amd phenom ii x4 pc.... amd is better in many spec than intel... and intel waste our money...

  • got the same CPU its great ^^

runs all games on max along with my HD 5870 :D

  • @jeffrey727

39C for idle is very high ? You gotta be joking ...

  • Hey.. is this a good processor for gaming in combination with an HD5670 1GB?? with 2 gigs of ram? And where did you get it.. i think you build it yourself but where?? (Ik woon ook in nederland... zag het aan je OS :-D)

  • nice, but have u had any issues with AMD overdrive? cuz im the only one who is getting wrong readings from it.

  • Haha funny video but I think only the 3,4 ghz overclock is stable.

  • my cpu is 59 degreees whit the standard amd cpu cooler.??? is that normal i run in on auto mode with epu-4 engine?? can anyone answer? and its very hot in my room because here in the netherlands those day its like 35 degreed outside and inside in my room its liek 40 degrees.

  • @JamesProduction0

No it is not normal, you can use a silver compound which will lower temps by about 4-5 degrees, or getting a better fan, make sure the towers back isn't again a wall, that sort of thing. Don't use a silver compound if you don't know how to apply it, if you get any on the m/b you'll fry your entire system. If you need more help let me know.

  • lol, My old processor, an Athlon II X4 OC'd to 3.25GHz got 36,500 in vantage, lol

  • if any1 is looking for a cheap but very functional cpu cooler for their am2+/am3 and intel cpu i suggest the cooler master hyper 101.... it works wonders for 5 of my cpus (x2 240, e5200, e8500. q6600, x4 640)

  • @jeffrey727 39c is not very hot for idle wtf r u talking about... 39c is not very high for idle escpecialy with an overclocked quad idc if its 45nm... its not bad.... but w/e i get 28c with a $15 heatsink fan =PPPP

  • Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question but is this cpu better than an intel i5 >_<

  • @mushufreak Depends on the i5 version.

  • hey, if i upgrade to this in like a year will i see a big imporovement from a 550 x2?

  • I'm thinking to buy a PC with this CPU and HD 5770 1GB.

Would be good to OC @ 3.8 GHz ?

  • @jeffrey727 nah 39 on idle is ok, as long as its not hitting 60 under prime95 or OCCT

  • i don't need to change the CPU Voltage? only adjust these bars in order to o/c the x4 955?

  • @kolofagos just go to BIOS and adjust the multiplier to 19 and ull be fine, oh and u need aftermarket cooler for that.

  • @dulisha hmm...adjust the multiplier to x19..only that? shouldn't i change the voltage too? or i adjust it only if i want to o/c more?

  • @kolofagos yep. Thats all I did. Kept everything on auto and just adjusted the multiplier and ran prime95 for 5 hours stable no errors. If its not stable you can put 1.5V cpu voltage and you should be fine. this chip overclocks easily. I saw a guy on forum that overclocked it to 4GHz stable with adjusting multiplier to 20, cpu voltage to 1.5 and NB voltage to 1.3 I believe with FSB set to 200Hz. Run prime95 stable for 6 hours with Noctua cooler though.

  • @dulisha hmm,ok then,ty..i am gonna use the H50 or the V10 for cooler,i think they are good enough

  • @kolofagos Im using V8 and its keeping me on 32-35 idle and 50-52 on full load. SO you should be fine with any of those two coolers.

  • @dulisha ok then,thank you!

  • wow my stock clock on my Cpu and i got 39,000

  • whats your cpu-cooler?

  • @11BlAcKjAcK90 ZALMAN CNPS 9900

  • @jeffrey727 nice skin cpu-cooler

  • @11BlAcKjAcK90 looks like a zalman

  • Please PM me what's the program u used to record the vid. The zoom thing is awesome!

btw, I have same OC settings as you, ran prime95 64 bits stable for 24h and max temp was 50ºC with a 15$ cooler :D

  • What song is this, jeffrey?

  • @jeffrey727

what is a good idle temp to keep it at with the stock fan? It's usually around 33C

  • I OC'd to 3.8GHz using Turbo V and AMD Overdrive confirms that it's running at 3.8Ghz and at 39C!!!

Overclocking to 3.8GHz and only at 39C with the stock AMD fan!!!!! This processor is awesome.

  • You obviously have a great cooler. Are you liquid cooling? If not what are you using?

Also With my stock cooler running at 3.8GHz I ran Unigine Tropics Demo and the temp went to 43C...is that high? What's a good temp to keep it at?

  • hey, I read at an overclock forum and it says i can just simply moving the multiplier up in the bios on teh Black Edition without changing anything, is this true?

  • @kengie2 yes its true

  • @jeffrey727

ok thank you, but is this stable if , for example, im going to overclock the CPU to 3.8?

my other settings are like HT-link freq is 2000mhz, NB also at this rate.

  • who did you get the icons on top

  • rocketdock

  • descriptions that dont describe anything ftl

  • hey guys, you think i7 920 is a better choice now for the money and its overclocking potential?

I want to do some video editing in Sony Vegas 9 Pro.

  • @odinandme

For video editing ive always read I7 is a better choice while the phenoms preform nearly or as well with gaming.

  • heh, with a 920 system prices jumps 300 over an equivalent AMD system. Do you know how many video cards I should have? 1, 2 or 4? and is SLI or cross fire better? for video editing.

  • @revenant3154

That was very informative, thank you. You are very coherent with your post.

  • Thanks buddy, that really helped! Your post was very informative and well constructed.

After reading your post I not feel like a smarter man! Thanks again, and keep up the good work.

By the way, you spelled "deepends" wrong. It's actually "depends", but I'll just assume it's a typo because I can't see any other spelling mistakes.

  • @RapistAsshole Lol your comment made my day

  • @revenant3154

    what the fuck?

  • amd is the best

  • Got that case my self

  • where do i get that turbo v software, also, when overclock it, will it show up on the bios as overclocked?

  • No its comes with the Asus 790fx motherboards as a software

  • how does this compare to the Core i7?

  • No, it doesn't has hyperthreading,

It can be compared to intel's Core 2 Quad's and ohter Quad cores

  • @Seth0ros LOLLL u gotta be the smartest one here [ enter sacasm there] <---... first of all, core 2 quad doesn't have hyper threadin..this is faster than all core 2 quads.. jusrt not i7 which has the hyperthreading but runs like an oven and iis waay more expensive.. do ur research b4 talkin shit plz.

  • yeah... it does infact have hyperthreading, and can be compared to the i7s

  • NICE

  • don't use pc probe... it suxx!! even tho i'm an asus fan, don't use it cuz it also comes with faulse thresholds and if you don't kno how to set it, it will start alerting when ur cpu meets the temp threshold the pc probe wants.... it sux. lol just use ai suite

  • why does pc probe say my cpu temp is 39 degrees celsus yet its 29 degrees celsus i have a temp thing on my cpu

  • I got 3.7 stable with stock HS&F and stock voltage. It runs amazing.

  • @Starforce9 for real... nice i'mma try 3.6 with stock voltage xD

  • @madzane94 Yeah, although I bought a nice Rifle CPU cooler the other day and bumped it to 3.8 and had to bump the Voltage up one notch. But at 3.8 paired with an OCZ Vertex, it is amazing.

  • my msi mobo automatically adjusts the voltage depending on the clock of my cpu. i got it running at 3.8 stable and cool

  • @madzane94

3.8GHz at 1.43 seems to work well just like in this video

  • lol dude u kno that u can achieve 3.6 stable with stock voltage.;... increasing the voltage just shortens the lifespan when you don't need it... only 3.8 requires a voltage increase

  • @madzane94 actually i achieve 3.7 mhz only increasing the multiplier to 18,5 :D

  • @Maxguitarrista yyyup, if u run prime with no error ur good, then u got a nicer oc that won't shorten the life of ur cpu :) cheers

  • @madzane94 also , please do me a favour and explain me what is stock voltage :D, send me a pm if you want

  • @Maxguitarrista stock voltage = the voltage that came with it out of the box which is 1.35v... that's what amd set it to.. and that's the voltage that gives you full life span of the cpu... decreasing will give u a longer life and increasing will give you sorter but u gotta increase to oc... u can decrease it a little at stock to get cooler temps tho... but... the 955 can go to 3.6ghz at 1.35v which is called a safe oc, that won't do a thing to your temps or cpu life span

  • You should increase a CPU voltage as well. Well done anyway :) ....

  • yeah i know but i did that in the bios already from 1.350v to 1.425v

but alot of times my pc crash if i increase it with turboV dont know why

  • @jeffrey727 cuz oc in windows fail :( idk why... bit appearantly oc'in from amd over drive and the in windows softwares just doin't last without failing lol

  • Der Song heißt .... holy ghost 009 ....

  • trinity

  • haha wow 100000 cooler

  • nice the same system i get in 3 days i only need better cooling how many ghz get i overlock with nomal cooling ?

  • do not overclock with the original cooler

  • Thats a sick setup man, good job!

  • thats explains everything u.u!

  • Hi nice video, but just so you know , for your GTX card you need to temproraily disable the physx on the video card settings before you do the 3DVantage benchmark, otherwise it inflates the CPU score to a value that is not true. disable physx and re-run the 3dvantage you will see the "true" cpu score. cheers

  • Thanks for the tip PCWizKid

  • @PCWizKid

or you could buy Nvidia hardware and get the same performance as him....LOL
