@TheMannier I think it´s on purpose to allow the engine to rev higher before hitting the limiter during overtakes.

@TheMannier so when he gets slipstreem and pulls alongside he doesn't hit the limiter and not able to go anywhere

@TheMannier Need it at La Sarthe with those drafts and long straights. Otherwise you would bounce the limiter half way down the shoot.
