If you want the same motoQ9c phone, check on ebay, I've just bought one Moto Q9c for Alltel (used) for 100 bucks, that's why I'm selling my Q9c for sprint, I don't need it anymore. Good luck

Yeah I have it also and it does the same things but mine will shut off and come back on by its self several times a day. at first i thought something was hitting the power button but i realized it does this even while sitting still on a table with no one around it. I thought it was defective also but this is the third handset that ive had in a year also it has little virtual memory without the sd card. this phone blows. PALM PRE here i come

I couldn't decide between this or the Samsung Delve (touchscreen smartphone) for the longest time.

But I find it harder to do things on a touchscreen.

believe it or not I have a Verizon Q9C not the Q9M. It looks just like the sprint one only it's back doesn't bulge out except at the speaker.

u might lose ur battery life b/c if u dont go task manager like on the regular computer but on ur fone. u need to close all da programs. and if u da kind of person who has his or her fone in the every second and always playing with it. u will need to charge it everynight before u go to bed. go to my youtube page and i will tell u more about alot of things. and it is very easy to program buttons b/c u just go to menu and go to " Personlize My Q" and u could change ur menu style program buttons.

This phone is only sluggish if you have a bunch off apps open. But just as you would on a computer when it lags and what not, you can use the task manager and "kill" the operations to improve speed.

Sorry I should have been more clear. The internet (Sprint EV-DO) is very good, the fastest offered from any of the major carriers. Depending on coverage, I consistently get about 500 kb/s ~ roughly equivalent to dsl speeds. So in that respect, I would rate it 9/10. The phone gets sluggish when you have several apps running at the same time. Also you have to manually quit some memory-hog programs (IE) via taskmananger. If money is of no concern, check out the mogul, blackberry from Sprint.

Jamsoil, I've been watch your video many times. I want this phone so BAD, but my upgrade won't kick in till May. So, I call Retention dpt. at Sprint, the rep. gave me the upgrade of $150 instead of May, then she throw in the "Sprint Power Vision" plan for $5.0 a month (unlimited data plan). I heard that the Moto Q9c freezes up some times and you have to reset it any truth to that? Have you had any problems or need to have it fixed? I had the i930 and had to replace it all the time so I'm hesitating to get another motorola phone.

Yes. I have to reset once or twice a week. Its a memory issue, and definitely annoying. Considering I always forget to close programs. It happens when you have several applications running at the same time. It happens to me when I stream internet radio, while browsing the web, and if I decide to respond to an instant message on messenger the phone will freeze. It usually recovers on its own, but sometimes it just hangs. I have to curb my multi-tasking ways on this phone...

I haven't had that problem. But it seems like a memory issue. You might want to clear up space by uninstalling programs, or move them to a miniSD card. You can also see how many programs are running, by checking 'task manager' by accessing 'system tools' in your start menu. Otherwise, I would return it, you have 30 days to return the phone with full refund if you live in California.

It only comes included with the extended battery. You will need to buy a slim battery and a regular/standard battery cover as well to improve the form factor. I wasn't able to find a standard battery cover with the sprint logo. But you can buy verizon's q9m battery cover for about 10 bucks from ebay - it will fit perfectly onto the q9c. It will have a verizon logo though... The standard battery (model: BT60) will cost 10-30 bucks from ebay.

I don't know what the people below are talking about - this is one of the best reviews I have EVER seen. So thorough - and the way the reviewer and his strong manly hands handle the phone...mm mmm.

In particular what caught my attention was the reviewer's voice ... so dreamy. sigh. At one point he nearly drops the phone but then makes a graceful recovery - this man clearly knows how to maneuver his way around a battery pack. That and he's soo knowledgeable. Meow. He's got me sold.
