Taking the property tax off improvements is a great idea. Stop penalizing people who build homes, invest capital and create jobs. Removing the property tax on land values is a bad idea because all public services are capitalized into, result in, increased land value. This encourages land speculation that only drives up the cost of housing etc. I am not coming to work or invest in your state if you do this. I will come when you stop stealing my earned income and end the free lunch to land owners.
