We hated Eddie and Chris, talked mad smack about em, didn't respect them but overtime they earned it. And it lead to one of the great no greatest moments in WWE history.. Sting didn't wanna pay his dues, he wanted it to be given to him. He never knew that what Benoit and Eddie went through would make this moment all the sweeter..

This was one of those moment where everything just seemed right with wrestling.
For two men who both showed great ability in ecw, to both go to wcw together and get screwed and misused. To both raising their titles at Wrestlemania 20 in the garden was just amazing. Never have I seen two men more worthy of holding those titles. And for Benoit a title which he never really lost while in wcw.
chris had a huge fan following in pakistan, and i was there with about 50 of my school friends watching this match and the whole place just erupted when chris won the title...still so hard to believe hes gone

I remember watching this on PPV back in 2004. Benoit winning the Rumble was epic. Benoit winning the World title was epic. You rarely see this kind of stuff in WWE these days. Then again, WWE is 1/3 Cena, 1/3 Taker, 1/3 Triple H. But I digress. We miss you Chris and you too Eddie. WWE would probably be a LOT better if you two were still with us. RIP you two. With regards to Sheamus he probably didnt deserve the title but if you look at it back when Benoit started in wwe the competition was greater than now you had Rock, Austin, Taker, HHH, Angle, Kane and Sheamus had Cena, Orton, and a few others who werent legit contenders. @patjay3 that's tragic and crazy. Benoit was my favorite wrestler growing up. I'd compare the feeling of watching wrestling when I was younger to that of receiving oral sex today. I didn't question weather or not it was "fake." I never asked that question. The very best of Benoit was when he would go for the headbutt and MISS. Hahaha he was so fucking awesome and if what you're saying is true then that's really sad, but in a way it adds to the legacy of the business. Benoit bleeds and leads

I remember watching this on PPV back in 2004. Benoit winning the Rumble was epic. Benoit winning the World title was epic. You rarely see this kind of stuff in WWE these days. Then again, WWE is 1/3 Cena, 1/3 Taker, 1/3 Triple H. But I digress. We miss you Chris and you too Eddie. WWE would probably be a LOT better if you two were still with us. RIP you two. Shame you both only won a world title once, each.
This moment STILL gives me chills to this day. I wish WWE could be like this again.

@BODLive08 How did WWE "ruin" Benoit? They were in the middle of giving him a decent push--WWE was going to put the ECW Championship on him, but then he died before he had a chance to win it. Then they gave him a wonderful tribute show on Monday Night Raw. THEN, when it was discovered that Benoit was the one who murdered Nancy and Daniel, that's when WWE distanced themselves from him, as ANY wrestling company would've done if it had been one of their wrestlers.

While I do not condone what he did, you cannot change the fact that when Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit died, the heart and soul of wrestling died along with them. @PS1Connect You have to remember Benoit had only been in wwe for 4 years at this point and one of them he was out with his neck injury. Also during 2000 and 2001 he came close so many times to winning the big one. With regards to Sheamus he probably didnt deserve the title but if you look at it back when Benoit started in wwe the competition was greater than now you had Rock, Austin, Taker, HHH, Angle, Kane and Sheamus had Cena, Orton, and a few others who werent legit contenders. Times change

Benoit didn't spend all 18 years in WWE; he started WWE in 2000, and if I remember correctly, WWE gave him his first championship just over a month after debuting, and at WRESTLEMANIA no less. If anything, you should hate the companies he had spent the first 14 years of his career in for never giving him a world title. And blame Benoit for walking away from WCW, RIGHT AFTER being given the WCW world title.
