  • Her voice is so beautiful.

  • Wendy is a great mother. I almost wish she stayed in Neverland.

  • pfft, I'm not getting all teary and emotional...

  • Awwwww...Michael. I just want to hug and kiss little Michael and tell him he will see his mother, the lovely Mrs. darling, very soon.

  • 3 tallboys and a shlitz down in 1 hour...just balled my eyes out, feel great now thnks

  • Sometimes this song puts me to sleep when I watch the movie

  • This song always leaves me teary eyed. x

  • wish my mother was still here....

  • I've learnt more slang from her in a year than I've known in my life, she blurts things out with not much sense of privacy, and wrestles with me and her son. The barman knows us as the Troublesome Twins, with similar hair and when we dress alike. Admiring and loving her is like being a Disney cub and her being the strong Papa bear hero, namely Balloo or Little John.

  • Why does that part always make me cry?

  • Wendy and Mr. Smee have the same voices as Alice and the Rabbit...I'm nineteen and I just found that out

  • @AleKsandr3593 Did you really? ive known since i was like 8

  • @AleKsandr3593 The woman who voiced Mrs. Darling also played Alice's Sister in 'Alice in Wonderland'.

  • I don't like this movie at all or Wendy. However I love Wendy's voice it's so beautiful, I probably wouldn't pay much attention to this song if she wasn't singing it. Her voice is one of the two things I actually like about her the other thing is her looks, she's very pretty. I like Alice WAY more and she's slightly prettier(they basically have the same face) only because of the hair. However Kathryn did a better job as Wendy because as Alice it was more talk some, but as Wendy it's more singing

  • Awwww. :)

  • Little michael is so cute

  • Is this really Kathryn Beaumont singing? She doesn't sound like this when she sings in Alice

  • @lavalamp625 She apparentley took singing lessons after 'Alice in Wonderland.' She had trouble singing a song that was cut in 'Alice' called "Beyond the Laughing Sky," which was also cut for slowing down the film. Her voice also matured since she was getting older.

  • @lavalamp625 Kathryn was much older in this movie, and her voiced matured. She also took singing lessons after her role in Alice in Wonderland, because she had had trouble singing for the film.

  • Wow, always good to have a bit of anti-semetic commenting on a children's Disney video.

  • @markieowen4eva We can't really call it anti-semetic, because it's the truth. Notice how almost all the owners of the big, multinational corporations and the members of the Bilderberg Group are Jewish? It would be anti-semetic to wrongfully accuse Jews of something they DIDN'T do, but it's no insult to say they control the governments and have bought and paid for the planet.

I don't hate Jews. I just hate what the rich ones have done to the world.

  • @Visonu Fair enough. Still, you wouldn't expect it under a Peter Pan video :)

  • @markieowen4eva The more unlikely to appear, the better, since it means more people know what's truly going on.

And besides, I didn't start it.

  • @Visonu right, whatever

  • 4 people asked what a star was...

  • Funny how Hook was the only one enjoying the song. Obviously he didn't experience parental love.

  • people try to get me to listen to more up to date music and other crap, but this is more my style.

  • lol at bed time my ritual wasnt story and lullaby. it was icecream and milk. teeeeeeeee

no matter what book me or my sister picked out to read my dad would always say

Once upon a time there were 3 little pigs. and wed get all pissed at him and hed give in and say ok how about cookies and cream icecream instead of a story. (we always gave in to this) teeee

  • Disney doesn't make good decent family movies like this because they are controlled by perverted JEWISH interests. The same Jews that control the porn industry. Name a media company that isn't in the pocket of AIPAC or run by Jews.

  • @StrahaoftheRace Boy, I sure am glad I'm not the only one who believes that. Actually, I think Jews control the WORLD.

  • While Wendy is singing I can see Peter being jealous just because the boys choose to pay attention to her and not him. But being a hog of the show will get ones friends sick and tired before they give the attention to someone else. Peter acts like he doesn't want to acknowledge that. As for Wendy, I'm glad she's not being put down in this scene.

  • HAPPY MOTHER's day guys

  • a perfect video for every mothers day

  • even doc feels the song and misses his mother, I can feel deeply for this song, been 13 years...but still missing her and loving her soo much

  • I have loved Peter Pan for ages and I have always wished I could go to Netherland!

  • I'm 20years old and a couple of months ago when I was having a bad night, my mom slept in my bed with me.

    I love my mommy.

  • "I wanna see my mother." The most adorable line in Disney history!

  • This song makes me miss my mother even more. Lost her to cancer last year. 28 years old, and I still cry like a baby, whenever I hear this. Especially now.

  • Thanks for uploading this song. The full movie has been uploaded twice, but annoyingly this song is cut from both of them.

  • I love Kathryn Beaumont's voice!

  • @NDLady1985 I agree, and think she got better with age. She was good in Alice in wonderland, but here her voice is smoother and has more range.

  • I love this so much. Disney is the best thing that happened to my world. Seriously.

  • considering the sheer lack of mothers in disney films I am surprised a song about mothers was made. and a good song at that

  • I wanna see...*sniff*...my mother!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I barely remember the original Peter Pan movie as it is and youtube keeps leaving ou parts of the film so I'm left with gaps. You just filled one. ;] I didn't know Wendy sang like that. So lovely! ^_^

  • How many people think this song should be on a card??? :) lol

  • Your mother and mine Your mother and mine The helping hand that guides you along Whether you're right, whether you're wrong Your mother and mine Your mother and mine What makes mothers all that they are? Might as well ask, what makes a star Ask your heart to tell you her worth Your heart will say heaven on earth Another word for divine Your mother and mine
  • Wendy was voiced by Kathryn Beaumount

  • One of the best songs to hum to a baby or even yourself.

  • :'( We all know what we wanna do now. Like micheal.

  • I miss this so much. It's like everyone has forgotten classics like this, Aladdin, Jungle Book, Lion King, Alice In Wonderland, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan etc. and Hannah Montana or Jonas Brothers become so popular. Disney wasn't about teen shows, it was about magic, animation, heart, and something to remember for the rest of their lives. I don't care about Disney Channel at all and I feel very proud not watching it.

  • Have you guys noticed how the setup of the scene is similar to Someday My Prince Will Come in Snow White? The shot of the Lost Boys listening to Wendy is like the shot of the dwarfs listening to Snow White, and there's even an uninterested fellow isolated from everyone else (Peter here, Grumpy in SW).

  • @UraustinFresh i've read that disney recycles a lot of previous work before and uses it in new movies. not that its a bad thing mind you, movies take a lot of time and recycling scenes like that for scenes like these doesnt hurt the movie at all, it makes it easier on the artist, which is nice since disney animation artists during these times had so much work to do

  • @UraustinFresh

I hadn't noticed. And I watched this video right after I watched "Someday My Prince Will Come"

  • Just sang this in vocal lessons, it's so beautiful :')

  • Wendy's serenading always makes me cry, even though I'm 27. I love my mom soo much! Here's to mothers, the guiding lights of the world. May they always be there to light our way after dark and never burn out forever! Cheers to that!

  • Thanks a million. Classic song!

  • I cried when I heard this as a child. I still do T_T

  • 1:33 smee loves his momma! lol im gettin that for my mom b4 mothers day XD

  • Ive been looking for this. Thank you!

  • Dumbo,Pinocchio,Peter Pan,Beauty and The Beast,Mulan,The Aristocats, The jugle book, sleeping beauty, snow white and the 7 dawns, aladdin, the little mermaid, mary poppins, cinderella, lion king, the hunch back of notre dame, the black Calderon, robin hood, hercules, bambi, pocahontas, lady and the tramp, 101 dalmatians, alice in wonderland, wolf, spirit and mooooreee Disney's Movies soo awesome! and now... theres only few worth it :/

  • I love this song and i always cry when i hear this song!Huhuhuhu!!T_T

  • @LPSloverable AND I FEEL THAT MY MOM DIED IF I HEAR THIS SONG!HUHUHUHU(CAN'T STOP WATCHING!)

  • oh man this is exactly what i was looking for! thanks for posting this!!

  • This is a beautiful song!

  • So the thing it's made consider is this ... what is a fatherly nature? Does it mean the same thing as motherly except the behaviour is coming from a man? I write cat stories, and my cat Harvey loves being kind and taking care of others, and he is very affectionate including with other toms (if they will let him). Usually that behaviour would be called motherly, but Harvey is a tom, and so it seems that fatherly is the only appropriate word.

  • That's a really interesting question, what is fatherly nature. I'm no expert on the topic of gender, but I feel fatherly nature complements motherly nature.

A father (traditionally speaking I suppose) is a protective figure. While both a mother and father can provide comfort, it is a different sort of comfort. Perhaps it is just different in my mind because of my relationship with my own parents.

  • Comment removed

  • @TwilightWander I think you hit the nail on the head

  • @TwilightWander I think fatherly nature is teaching one to be strong, whoch coincides perfectly with the coddling nature which a mother gives. A father teaches strength and resilience, while a mother teaches emotion and sentiment.

  • @Ilovecats112233 what are you on about ilovecats. You're a nutter

  • I know, I know. But it's the truth. I really do have these longings. I HOPE that comment was gentle teasing, not an attempt to affront. I would like to think that anyone else who watches tender Disney lullabies would not intend any harm towards me.

  • @Ilovecats112233 no harm intended darlin

  • @Ilovecats112233 Muslim detected.

  • @Ilovecats112233 Well some Father's when there isn't a female to take the role of mother will become the figure like mine while my mom is more the father and also maybe its just the person

  • Yes, a friend of mine believes she's more of a father figure to her children than she is motherly. She's a flirty good-looking tomboy with a tough, fun-loving, no-worrying approach to life, wears scruffy jeans, black X-Factor T-shirt and a black leather jacket, has a curtain of beautiful long brown hair and a fringe across her forehead, a loud cackle of a laugh that brightens up the pub, clumsy but chirpy singing, and ADHD traits.

  • I don't like Wendy's singing but I watch this video a lot, especially at weekends, because I'm more interested in the mother and child bonding between Wendy and Michael (even though she's his sister) because that's very important to me at the moment. But I'm studying English Language and at the moment we're learning language and gender and I find that interesting too.

  • There is a lady at my college who wants to mother everybody. I'm very fond of her and I wish she'd make a fuss of me like how Wendy was mollycoddling Michael in this video. I'm already eighteen and I'm not going to get any younger. I'll only get older, and there'll soon come a time when nobody can love me like that anymore.

  • I always cried at this part of the movie. It's such a sweet little piece.

  • i want see my mother lol

wot most funny that the pirates listining with sad faces jejeje

  • Every time I hear this song it destroys me! OMG! I turn into a sobbing idiot...I LOVE IT!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • Soooo much better in Swedish! She sounds like an old lady in English :O

  • To Lakritsgubbe:

Båda är underbara, men det är två helt olika toner och typ av sång lilla vän ;)

  • @Fantasygold2 , jo jag vet, låter dock fortfarande som en tant ^^

  • Haha, jaja vi har olika smak ^^

  • I absolutely adore this song, and really makes me appreciate my own mother (when she's being nice, that is). Though I have to say that song from Tarzan, You'll Be in My Heart, reduces both my mother and I to tears EVERY TIME. It's frustrating, but very heartfelt, and remains the only song to do so.

  • I love Smee's tattoo that says Love Mother!

  • i always cry so much at this especially when the little boy (micheal i think) says i wanna see my mother at the end

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE.. GOOD SONG

  • Does anyone else wish they could have a cuddle, hold hands, sit on laps, be tucked in at night and read to as you were when you were little? And I'm eighteen next month! I'm a loser I know.

  • Comment removed

  • No you're not a loser, it just that you have a caring heart.

  • @Ilovecats112233

    You're not :).

  • this song makes me sad I Miss My Mother Right Now

  • thank you!!!!!

i was looking for it everywhere!!!!!))))

  • Amo esta canción!!! me gusta cantarla para todas las madres que conozco!

  • This song is so touching and movie. Kathryn Beaumont is my idol, she is just amazing!:)

  • I love this song, it is a classic and yet it doesn't get any real credit as a classic. Thank you for uploading the clip. It really makes me greatful for people like you who can do that.

  • You're welcome ^_^ It makes me happy to see that so many people have been enjoying this song.

And if there are any other songs that anyone would like me to upload, just leave me a comment, and I'll do my best to find it :)

  • this song makes me cry

  • Me too.

  • Disney CLASSIC loved this movie!

  • Why doesn't Disney make movies this good anymore?

  • @HookedOnSonics518 Amen!!!

  • I'm 18 going on 19 next month and i love this song ^^ One of the best movies EVER.

  • I so agree with you Ilovecats112233, I'm the same way and I'm 20. lol. too child like for my age, i like to bother my mom by tryin to sit on her lap and holding my hands out to her to carry me. lol. she makes the funniest faces when i do that.

  • I'm 21 and I still sit in my dad's lap sometimes.

  • lol, i LOVE this moviee, .. and im 13.

  • There's something wrong with me. I'm seventeen and a year away from saying goodbye to my childhood for ever. I've recently began to develop a sort of child-like dependency; needing to be held and cuddled constantly. I keep on listening to this song over and over again, along with Baby Mine from Dumbo and Someone's Waiting For You from The Rescuers. I also find myself getting very attached to ladies with a motherly nature. What's more, I still have a mother. Could this be my psychosis playing up?

  • There is nothing wrong with you. You answered your own question..."saying goodbye to my childhood for ever". My 18 year old is doing the same thing right now. He is so mushy. He recently sat down and went through all of his childhood books and told me how much he wished he could go back and enjoy that time again. It is a good thing to be in touch with those feelings.

  • Thank you, well your son is lucky to have a mother who does not try to make him grow up before he is ready. I read children's books myself, and I write them too. I have recently brought All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome, Six Dinner Sid and Cunning Cat Tales into college to show everyone. I also have written my own story in which I meet up with all the cats I know and have a tea party in a secret garden.

  • Or father. Sorry about that, I realised just after I'd sent my previous message that I made an assumption when I realised I had no way of knowing whether other Youtube users are male or female unless they specifically say so.

  • Hahaa.. thats the same as me ilovecats :) - Just recently i've been watching/listning to lots of disney movies and songs and i'm 17 . . . okay some may still class me as a child but i juts can't get enough of those films :) There amazing.. far cry from the new disney films.. there soo crap! x

  • I like Disney films. My first videos in my pre-school years were The Jungle Book, The Swan Princess, Snow White, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Dumbo, Sleeping Beauty, The Aristocats, 101 Dalmations and so on. I would watch Cinderella at Grandma's house. As a treat I was allowed to borrow videos from the video shop in my village such as Alice In Wonderland, Bambi and Pinochio. These are the films of my childhood and they remain close to my heart.

  • I feel the same way (and I'm past 21). I feel the need to be held and cuddled by young women (my mom is not old yet). Ever since I had some traumatic incident at that age, I felt like going back to my childhood years. Talk about someone who is broken down.

  • i love this song so much. ^_^ puts a great perspective on real mothers. lol

  • I'm used to the Swedish and Norwegian, and they are very light, and this is dark.

Still, I SIMPLY LOVE THIS <3<3

  • Oh my God...I remember years back, when I was a kid, they showed this piece on an episode of the Wonderful World of Disney when they did "A Tribute to Mom" as a Mother's Day special. I remember when I watched that special and they get to the end of the song, where the little boy says "I wanna see my mother," I just started crying and had to run down the hall into my parents' bedroom and hug my mom.

  • This song is very true =) I feel bad for those who dont have mothers..

  • I sung this song a year ago

my voice is even better now

  • Hey, Wendy, do you know Tinkerbell has her own moive?

  • yes I do know tinkerbell has her own movie
