@100prat there are predefined drum kits within the synth and you can also use it to create your sounds (if you're into synthesis); then you could use arp to trigger those sounds, so in theory yes you could make beats on NL2X

@numanuma20 It's not a sampler. It has a very small patch memory. You can't get realistic piano sounds but you can sculpt your own I suppose. Don't get me wrong though, I love my nord lead.

@fastortuga try setting the patch to mono and cranking up release to maximum

@fastortuga Check out the information on page 19 of the manual about the sustain pedal. Change the sustain pedal type to 1 and every note you hit will keep on playing, without a sustain pedal.

To set this up, press SHIFT and SYSTEM, go to the SP setting (should be the first one) and change it from SP0 to SP1. Choose a mono instrument and hit a key. It will now keep on playing.

@willbrown69 well, Nord is the only virtual analog I've tried and I am happy with it . With the Nord, it's not an out of the box love and fascination, but rather a slow process of discovering what the synth can do and enjoying it over a long period of time; as for the price, checkout ebay, I am sure you'll be able to find sth below 1k (you can consider the mark 1 and 2 which are probably cheaper and the difference in functionality isn't critical - the rack version can also be a cheaper solution)
