I have a firefox target 21 speed disc. My bike has 21 gears so which gear do you suggest i should learn wheelies with. In the 1st gear I can bring the front wheel up but after about 9 pedals the speed is too much for me to maintain, and I'm not too good at switching gears during a wheelie. Can you please help me out?
Hey man do you need hydraulic brakes to do rolling endo's or can just cable powered discs do the trick with a bit of speed ??? and do you give one big tap on brakes to get rear wheel up then small applacations to keep it there??? . would appreaciate a reply cheers.

No you don't need hydraulic brakes. Yes, that's correct...one big pull on the brake and then very light braking to maintain the height of the rear wheel.
@oskarszaman Stoppies and wheelies can be done on nearly any bike as long as the brakes work good (and you have the right gear selected)... also for wheelies adjust your seat so that it leans forward slightly.. just practice practice practice
sweet tricks man!! love it!! any tips on riding out those stooppies?? stunter in training lol. i stunt sportbikes but gettin in to mountain bikes! thanks
I was going to get an STP1 09 and I'd like to know what size the wheels are in comparison to a BMX because I don't like BMXs, they're too small and I was going to use my bike for trails (trails, not trials), will it be OK?
they sell them at most good bike stores. there pretty popular. they start at like $1,300 (australian) for the stp2 and then i think the stp pro is around the $2,900 mark. just go to the giant website
Dude, all you need to do is brake to get the back wheel up and then reduce the brake so that it still brakes a bit but not enough to knock you over the handle bars. BRAKE CONTROL is the key. First practice just doing endos then move on to the rolling endo, or stoppy what ever you want to call it.
I got a specialized PStreet, was wondering is that a good choice to get dedicated on for doing stunts or should I level up to a 26inch. BTW its a 24inch.
I prefer a higher seat. This means the balance point is lower and it is easier to initially get the front up and also there's less strain on the arms.
nice vid do you do the nose manuals with the front brake? could you tell me how to i can endo pritty good but i cant get it to roll your a good rider i have an stp 1 there great bikes yours looks awsome
Yes I use the front brake. Roll at a medium speed and do what u normally do for an endo, but try to get the rear wheel up faster than you normally would. When you find the balance point ease off the brakes and that will allow you to roll near the balance point ;)
ok thanks i will be sure to give it a try i just hope i dont go over the bars it seems to happen alot when im on my motobike when i try to do that stuff haha
i'm trying to do a wheelie with my UMF Hardy 3 but i just can't. i've made a stoppie, but i can't do a wheelie. i just doesn't know how to do it :( i'm trying desperately to succeed it...
Mine are Juicy 3's too. Just roll at a medium speed and grab the front brake harder than you normally would. Keep trying until the wheel comes up higher, then try rolling them for longer.
Thanks. For no-handers tilt your seat forward so you don't fall off, select a low gear (1st or 2nd), then release the other hand from the grip while doing a one-handed wheelie when you are at the balance point. Practice going up a hill until you get the balance point sussed.
Some guys can roll really long endoes with v-brakes, but I prefer disc brakes. I think it's easier using whatever you get used to. With disc brakes you still get smooth braking even when your wheel is buckled, unlike brakes that rely on the rim.
nice work mate, i ride an 08 stp 2, i can do most of those stunts an just learned the tight circle wheelie manuals! it's cause i stunt my sportbikes that i figured i could do it on my pedal bike too!
Ohh cool, I just finished re-painting my Norco sasquatch and putting some marzocchi forks on it. I must have thought your bike was a Norco because of the freestyle frame. Anyways keep it up!

I may buy this breaks. I never unterstood people who buy breaks with 4 pistons in 200mm...
And if you want to do tricks like manuals, roll backs, 360's... I advise you to buy an 24 thumbs, it's handier...
