  • it was awesome. I've been waiting since '98 to see the musical and I'm still optomistic that I'll see it. My son, who is ausistic, just saw a excert on the musical for the first and he said "let's go now" a child after my own heart. I wish I was there now. Staying positive I will get to broadway. • @mhollis1989 hehehe i cried during that part. i didnt cry during that movie scene, but seeing it on broadway somehow made it feel more realistic. whenever i hear the words "lion" or "king" i feel like im going to start crying again, no joke. but then i remind myself... "hakuna matata!" ;D

  • @KawaiiKat47 I know exactly what you mean...every time.

  • fantastic

  • no mamen, casi me surro en los pantalons, q hermoso esta estooooo dios

  • jajaja que risa jajajajajaj

  • interesting play, a few things confused me though, why was the person who played rafiki a girl, I thought rafiki was a male

  • @roboguy75 In The authentic Afrikan tradition the Story teller and keeper of the spirit of the community is more often Female than male. That is why it made more sense for Rafiki to be a woman to me anyway.

  • @FlowerJutsu there are tons of female leading roles they just felt that that Rafiki should be played by a woman so the rafiki character can be classified as a true sangoma.

  • @Voidiria why'd you repeat what i said...only using different words O.o?

  • @roboguy75 I also heard that the playwright noticed there were no female leads, and made Rafiki a woman for that purpose

  • @roboguy75 I heard that they cast Rafiki as a femle is because the voice singing "Circle of Life" in the animated version was a woman and they thought that it would be a great idea that Rafiki should be cast as a woman

  • @WWELURVA101 They cast Rafiki as a woman because of the lack of female roles. The androgyny of the shaman role made this an easy switch. Having a woman sing "The Circle of Life" also gave the song more power and meaning in its connection to birth and rebirth.

  • @KineticFX Ah ok

  • man.. I wanna watch musical D: it's weird cause it seems like everyone I know has seen the LK Musical but me o.O

interesting that they had 'This Land' mixed in between o-o and with words too!
