Been searching all over to hear this again. Haven't heard it since I was 9. Never forgot it. It was my brother's album. He used to play this on the drums. Needless to say he became a quite successful musician.
Thanks for putting this up. I first heard the album when I was 20 years old and now I'm near 62. It sets my spine tingling and I've rarely heard such an inventive and alive funky feel. I wore my first copy of the album out found another (2nd hand) copy by accident on a trip to the USA.
Oh man! Thanks! Someone finally posted this. At the time this first came out, I never dreamed that Michael Brecker (tenor sax, opening this song) would go on to be one of the greatest tenor players ever.
