  • themotherfuckingshit!

  • I dont have time to disagree, all i have is this moment and best believe im sippin a pale ale and rollin a nice joint in which i shall smoke in the next 10 minutes. No lie my friend, let it roll. . .

  • Robbie and Ray were extremely under rated, they were both the best improvisers of all time

  • The fucking doors

  • it fucked me badly

  • I was there and JM was a pisstank.Albert King backed 'em up and had to come out to play a couple of songs while JM sat on a stool by the drumkit.I remember JM taunting the audience with something like"C'.mon Vancouver,I know what you want!" while holding the maracas by his crotch. The band cooked but any singer coulda done it!Good theater but I wanted the BLUES.Albert played his azz off and Robbie played some ultracool slide on his LP Custom.Still a fan but....checkout DOORS LIVE LP some Van.cuts

  • @teeceemoo they did more than 1 show in vancouver that night or possibly within a few days period...i have the doors box set and there are a few songs jim sang while albert king played guitar such as rock me, money, and 1 or 2 more and i thought they sounded great, Jim and Albert!

  • IF YOU LOVE THE DOORS, YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS NEW BAND, GIVE THEM A CHANCE EVERYONE DESERVES ONE!!

THE NIHIL- BENEATH THE SUMMER MOON SHORES OF FREEDOM

  • I saw THE DOORS at Madison Square Garden before he had the beard. Before the Soft Parade Album. And it was like a studio performance except for the jokes Jim made and the feedback from the audience. They were amazing and Manzarek and Morrison made a great songwriting and arranging partnership. Shame about the damn drugs and booze. Jim used to walk on the edges of building roofs. Who knows why? A death wish? Maybe... he wrote songs called The End and Moonlight Drive... dark soul...

  • @showtuneful Cheers for sharing that. Jim was alot smarter than he made out I believe, he crafted himself into what we call a legend and will be remembered till the end of humanity

  • Justin Bieber is a little girl with no talent. He probably is still on breast milk.

  • What a listless performance. This is the first song in the concert? He sounds tired already.

  • Ray Manzarek was the real musical genius of the group playing amazing counter melodies on keyboard that he arranged, while Jim was the poet.

  • @showtuneful Listen. Justin Beiber is the musical poet. Never forget his talent!

  • @markenhagen Who? Are you comparing that little teeny-bopper loving child whose been around for such a short time and who never lived yet, to a man who traveled the world and lived through the 60's in a rock band and whose music has been loved now for half a century? Wooo.

  • @showtuneful He's just a troll. He has no soul. Mind's a black hole. So just leave him alone, 'cause he'll never want to know

  • @markenhagen 9+6

you can't be serious. what are you doing listening to this ? Are you lost looking for Beiber ville? Beiber isn't even in the same species as Jim Morrison

  • 19 fuckin 70. Dam I fuckin missed you.

  • Well, I woke up thee morning and, as is usual, I grabbed myself a beer. No, not an alcoholic but when the mood strikes me such as it has this morning I'll play this song - Ah, but what would it be to listen to this song in the morning without grabbing mahself a beer.? Or perhaps even 2 or 3? Sacrilege is what. This has been a ritual of mine as I've been doing this very same thing for the last 35 years. Here's to you Jim! Cheers!

  • where did u find this pic?

  • Its a real sloppy mess but it still is better then the crap today.

  • the drugs and booze ages u...he was burn out ..27 yrs old he died.....too much too soon too stupid too young TOO DIED.RIP JIM

  • @09bnunez a candle that burns twice as long doesnt burn twice as bright

  • Jim apparently not able to hit the high ones he hit on the studio version. Rest of the band cooks.

  • @brianallancobb watch?v=mJ9GDiYU0-I&feature=related and you'll get sure that he can hit those high notes : )

  • @PrincessEGvancO

He can, but he doesn't in this concert, Vancouver, 1970.

  • @brianallancobb yes, i agree with that : ) he seems tired there. but still luv it

  • Jim looks older than his twenties here.

  • @TheCozybear65 heroin does that

  • @DKSpawn333 Naw, Jim was an alcoholic..That was the booze.

  • i live in vancouver :)

  • I love the way he sings this

  • bando de retardado! não sabem nem gravar musica com volume!!!!! filhos da puta!

  • i still think he's alive

  • Comment removed

  • @halifaxcitadel man that's why bands don't sound as good today, before it was the artists work straight to the people. there was a connection you kno, nowadays, everything is meant to sound too good and the real magic of the music is lost through that..

  • sickest picture of him

  • However bad people think they may sound here, they still sound a damn sight better than most live bands today. At their worst, they were still the best. Long live The Doors!

  • Well, listen to roadhouse blues off The Doors box set, it's such a badass performance.

  • omg this is horrible.. wtf -- worst I've ever heard Jim.

  • @lykopis2 stick to the studio cutz..

  • @MrBillyjim69 no, i prefer them live. he just sounds bad here. He was probably drunk, tired or just not feeling it. No one preforms at their best all the time and we all know he didn't. Was just stating this was the worst I've seen the Doors speak about bad performances in interviews but I'd never actually heard one. Ofcourse , it's all subjective.

  • @MrBillyjim69 watch?v=4ee9Mqr0bdE (Now THAT's one of the GREAT ones)

  • @lykopis2 Wasn't it the part of his life when he didn't give any shit to his live performances ?

  • @roxor1080 I believe when he was sober he did but then he would change like Dr Jeckle and Mr. Hyde. Hell in the illustrated history book of those guys, Jim said that all of his family was dead when in fact his dad kive till 2008

  • @Doorsfan1214 lived til 2008, correction.

  • Morrison was sleeping in the first minute

  • some say its has no passion, thats the doors history here, some nights werent great,so wot.i would pay big buckes just 2 herer a note of this gig then buggrerd offa home.

  • who cares about the 7 people.

  • 7 people dont know!

  • I dont know about y'all, but i think 7 people need a FUCKING bullet to their dome..

  • @bfgoody gotta agree on this one

  • Gracias shaman por subir este bello material del genial Jim MORRISON, es un capo... desde San Miguel, Buenos Aires , te saludos y te envio un abrazo,,,,, Aguanten los DOORSSSS...

    Cesar

  • 7 ppl doesnt like this video and song too, it is a shame>>>but long live The Doors! \m/

  • @Brutuscassius "the west is the best..." Lol. Yeah, lackluster is a good word for it.

@Derek Your broken gaydar is embarrassing you again.

  • god damned were are this great times lost!

jimy u have gone a long time ago man..but we all feel u so near..

    thanx for all man!!!!

  • America's greatest rockband

  • Jim was a great commanding presence and a damn sexy frontman, But a world class poet? Not buying it.

"Ride the snake to the lake..." would not look out of place in a Doctor Seuss rhyme.

I love some of The Doors music! I perform one with my band. I've been to pay my respects at Jim's grave. But get real: Jim was no Kenneth Patchen.

Had he lived longer, we would have memories of him as old, fat, and burned out to compete with the blazing hot memories of his youth. As it is, he's 27 forever.

  • @surferbeto are you dissing dr seuss?!?! btw morrison wasn't old when he died but he WAS fat and burned out

  • @gamester57 Lol! No, Dr Seuss was truly a great American poet (of a certain stripe). Way less pretentious than Jim Morrison too.

I guess Jim did get fat, and I guess a heroin OD at 27 is a tediously popular way to burn out. But I was thinking of fat and weird the way Elvis got fat and weird. (Or David "crack pipe" Crosby, for that matter). Jim wasn't around long enough to get there. Only Crosby accidentally survived long enough to get a new liver and live a reasonably dignified old age.

  • @surferbeto

    You're a fag.

  • @surferbeto and also to live to be in demand as a sperm donor !

  • how many times have we all woke up and had a fuckin beer or a more stronger substitute to dissolve our hair of the dog ... i certainly fuckin have

  • Increibleee!! Gracias por subir a este medio a este GENIO... MORRISON ... danzaba con fantasmas, luego que su padre , por accidente atropellara a indios navajos??????... quien puede clarificarme, esto,,, BESOS pa· todos

  • I love the Doors but it's a shame Morrison is too fckng drunk to sing on this version

  • @hipkick Man is heart and soul, the best, we burn out early, we care about all people on planet earth, it is a curse, peace and love worldwide is the answer.

  • @hipkick O yesI love it

  • Jim Morrison is great, but the music is great, too. People just talk about Morrison - don't get me wrong on this.

  • @andrefreakincreator it's a band of 4 not only morrison as people seem to think...

  • @KafroThrasher , exactly. That's the point.

  • LET IT ROLL ..ALL NIGHT LONG!!!

  • Forever Morrison

  • love this shit!! Best driving song ever

  • The announcer sounds sooo enthused...

  • @iggypoprhcp no doubt, what a clown

  • @boilerup74 Haha. The Doors woke him up though!

  • @iggypoprhcp indeed!

  • the doors 4 ever

    blues da restinga Brasil

  • Legendary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As usual, Robby is in excellent form on this track.

  • @SergeantReese To be honest when was robbie not excellent?answer, probably never.Long live The Doors.Long live The Doors.Long live The Doors.Thats the message we need to spread for future generations.Peace dude.

  • Can't be The Doors. You can try, but you won't be successful.

  • @drunkskunk005 "Beat" not be. Yeah...I'm retarded.

  • no, I was at this concert and it was at the Pacific Coliseum - the warm-up band was "Steppenwolf" He was hardly even a likeness of his old self, bearded, very heavy and not very 'interactive'. A friend met him afterwards and said he was totally paraoid and into Black Magic. He wasn't around long after this. Unfortunately.

  • oliver stones movie the doors was a masterpiece.... his finest hour... its not his fault morrison didnt give him more to write about...

  • Ningún grupo de pop de los sesenta hacía un blues tan pesado y psicotico como éste.

  • please come home Jim

  • Catch The Doors film "When You're Strange" in theater's now!!!

  • Yeah Robbie usually played without a pick

  • New Doors movie coming out soon with Johnny Depp narrating. They say its the anti Oliver Stone movie since most fans and members hated it

  • @cmoretti04 weblink or something?

  • das rockt

  • the doors let it roll baby roll

  • im pretty sure blues guitarist albert king played alongside the doors during this concert...

  • rock psyché, rock progressif, blues, guitar spanish... The Doors the real spirit of the rock...

  • I wonder if this was recorded at the cave in vancouver ? anybody, and yes the olympics were great

  • listening to The Doors, needs to be done.. just to remember , how good they were, and some of the rubbish we have put upon us today..quality. feels like im 14 again..

  • i wonder if yall notice that he used his fingers to play.. no pick

  • Vancouver 2010....keep your eyes on the american women's hockey net....and SHE SHUT .....................SCORED!!!!.and then ...they had themselfs A BEER!!!...so what .....FUCK YOU ALL...

  • YEah that whole womens team having a beer on the ice WAAAY after the game was blown out of proportion

  • You guys should listen to them play Five to One and Back Door Man at this concert, robbie k was playing like a madman...but then again he usually does, sadly one of the most underated guitarists...

  • ya he is..he's one of the all time greats no doubt....

  • @MrNeilBritto very true man completly underrated

  • Jim...a vanguardist!

  • what about an apres-vanguardist ;)

  • the late james douglas morrison, one of america's greatest poets ever. A genious.

A prodigy. Give respect and check out his poetry! What he managed to write! And at such a tender age!

  • @4121958: I used to really try to get into his poetry. I have all the books. I came to realise that he was an excellent musician and song writer but his poetry is actually pretty lacklustre. If you want some crazy poetry check out ezra pound.

  • Comment removed

  • @bunchabullsheet I agree, if we spoke of the poetry, but the music is great too-- and, of course all the the musicians in the band, i think!!

I think the poetry without the music is not complete, and the music without the poetry too.....

  • @4121958 amen

  • JIMS A POIT

  • @rorygg1 your fucking retarted

  • I woke up this morning I got myself I beer. Then the following morning I did it again and again and again. Now I'm old and fucked up - better to burn up than fade away

  • cheers

  • he's saving his voice.

  • even when he fucks up jim morrison is perfect he was meant to do wut he did. he killed him self for his girl and the whole fucking world he sniffed heroin to prove a point to pam and really paid the price. he died. he sniffed her shit and died. he foamed at the mouth and her dealers threw him into the tub to revive him and failed. jim morrison died the saddest death. a girl broke his heart & he broke himself

  • You're a fucking burn victim.

  • @69srood yeah! I thought something was always fishy...I've read a lot and never saw anyone spit up the truth....

  • when I woke up this morning i got myself I beer. The future is uncertain. And the end is always near. Let it roll baby roll

  • anybody ever heard this song from the "Live in Pittsburgh 1970"? In the whole album Jim is not drunk, high, or anything. It's really good.

  • well: 2nd set: Jimbo & Jim-Beam=Saturn-beam

Hey Ray Man: when are the Doors going to honor the fans and issue this show?

  • saw them at felt forum, NYC in 1970, (I think), and Jim was on the money, no bullshit or theatrics. He just stood there and sang. Good show. They opened with Roadhouse (if I remember correctly)and it was a new song to us. Morrison's Hotel hadn't been released, or it just was coming out.

  • i need to meet you haha

  • Wow! you're so lucky my friend, you got to see the Doors live. I would of love to have been there myself except that I was five years old at the time and living in Europe.

  • sounds like jim cant be arsed here . Felt Forum version is by far the coolest !

  • morrisson was ALWAYS WASTED it's how he coped with mass adulation &

died after snorting smack , which he never did .but he partied with pam on the nite he died. so sad ...

  • thanks FOR THE TRUTH.

Truthfulness, a deeply selection'd trait for those creatures hard enough to brave going through The Doors

  • you see i have to go out in the car with these people and get - FFFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKEEEEDDDDD UUUUUUPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Morrison,,,,,, Por que te Moristee......

  • It's Morrison, but he's already dead at this point.

  • he´s not morrison

  • Jim on vocal ? Yes ! Ray Manzarek were more stiff.

  • I think Jim needed a Rock Star energy drink for this one ... hey .. is there a commercial there for the beverage ... a before and after compare and contrast of identical songs. Would that work?

  • jim is wasted on something in this, that's for sure.

  • Why do you think that?

  • just amazing!

  • The Doors Are The Best Band Ever!!!

  • the doors 4ever

  • maybe its just me but this does not sound a thing like jim morrison. Not that its bad, just doesnt sound like the lizard king..

  • Sounds like Jim is passed out in the back and Robby had to sing it!!

  • i say the doors

  • you say Flock... I say bevel

you say Ashley Simpson... I say trade

  • were the hell is the harmonica solo....what the fuck man!!!!!

  • The harmonica isn't in the song because a man named John Sebastian played it on the studio version. He does not play with the band so unfortunately the harmonica solo isn't on this version. Great song though.

  • John Sebastian? Is that the John Sebastian from The Loving Spoonful?

  • Sounds like they had to drag Jim out of bed for this one.

  • that's funny comment. I think it was Jim singing ... only this time he wasn't possessed like he normally is .. or was. He may be possessed now ... as in being in eternal possession of the demon(s) who tormented him and escorted him to the dark place .. that other side be broke on through to.
