  • i was wondering i am useing a klx 125 and when i land jumps on the 125 sumtimes i accidently pull the throttle back a little bit the thing is im getting a crf150r big wheel, well if i do the same thing that i do with a klx125 ima nail myself help me please

    I don't personally ride dirtbikes... I ride street bikes... but holding the clutch in as you hit the bottom of the jump and/or adjusting throttle slack should help you a bit fatshoot.

  • @TheFatShoot you should always try to land on the throttle for 2 main reasons. for one, it lessens the impact of the landing by driving you forward instead of taking all the impact on the drop. secondly, its much faster to power out of landings instead of coasting, especially on longer landings. check out the video on my page if you want to see what i mean. hope this helps :)

  • Something that tricks me is whether to hold the clutch in all the way or just have it pulled in enough where the bike won't move. I have a race tomorrow so I guess I'll find out there

  • make sure your clutch is adjusted properly (TINIEST amount of free play), unless u have a KTM.

    Your meant to use just 2 fingers on the clutch. Your remaining three fingers on the grip will stop the clutch lever going its full travel. This is how u want it at the start line.

  • yeah it did. just leave the clutch at the point where the bike wont move, give it about 3/4 rev, get in second gear and look at the pin in the gate. i got the holeshot so its proof

  • Might sound a little bit crazy but it works for me. I add a little touch of front brake on the first meters of my starts. This keeps the front wheel down thus avoiding wheeling. Mike Craig told me this crazy idea but it works. It is also important to make sure you are pining the throttle all the way.

  • guyz for a faster start try heel shiftting cause it keeps u so mch striaghter i ride a cr85 and it helps a ton and it help balance alot cause u bring uo your feet at the same time!!!!!!!!

  • only heal shift up 1 gear its only done once for the speed, then your boot back to the peg

  • best how to get the holeshot video evey. i used to have a hard time at the hole shot bust after watching this i am like a pro at it now.

  • My dad has been teachin me wheel spins and wheelies from a standing start - pretty much yeah, he had the position right, but lean forward for a fast start with wheelspin and lean back to pop a massive wheelie and [if you are anything like me] fall off into a muddy puddle! =P

  • Hi, I ride a kx250 two stroke. I start in 2nd, release the clutch slowly until over the bar, then dump and go. But today I practiced this by myself without other bikes around and noticed that my bike bogs a little when I ease the clutch out in 2nd. If I dump the clutch in 2nd gear, it wheelies (with me sitting on the tank!). Am I starting in the wrong gear? I use race gas and my shop's mechanic said the bike is jetted perfectly (tan plug).

  • i was watching a pro explain how he starts........your chest should be pretty much touching the cross bar pad (if your using bars with a cross bar!) even before u start moving!......so your leaning your upper body forward to get more of your weight to the front of the bike......which means you dont have to sit on the tip of the seat.

  • try to release a smooth clutch and heel shift or maybe just go down into first heel it into 2nd right after u exsplowd.

  • have u tryed fork clamps.

    check them out on motospot or something... they will help u out man
