@kimchiman1000 hi i was just wondering if you could tell me to drive an excavator in canada do you need a special liscense/ticket as we call it in ireland for individual machines such as bobcat excavator backhoe. ive been looking online i see training courses for beginners. on most jobs i dont see ant certification needed .
As yet there is nothing 'on the books', but there has been talk of it becoming mandatory for a number of years. Where I live, it's a good idea to get provincially recognized certification as a bit of a hedge against future policy changes, so that one does not get left out of the loop later on. And at some companies, it may well come down to the difference between being hired or not, all other things being equal. The guy with a ticket may get the job, even if another operator is...
...The (less qualified, and less experienced) guy with a ticket may get the job, even if another operator without said ticket is more experienced and better qualified in every way. But I believe the day is rapidly approaching when one will not be able to find decent employment where I live without certification as an operator.
The bars didn't seem to cause as much of a problem as you might expect. One thing I'll mention though, is that on the raw video footage, there was a lot of 'in and out of focus' stuff that I couldn't use. It isn't really much of a problem for a video like this however, as I had over an hour of raw video footage to pick and choose from when making this video.
The newer Cybershot cameras seem to have a much better auto-focus, in my experience.
Love watching your videos. I have watched them over and over. I know you are into the more artistic camera work now but i still prefer the old school Al. Operating and showing of the machines. I am hoping that will come back. Look forward to seeing more.
i have all ways wanted to use one of thouse. it dosent sound as loud as i though it would be. i only used smaller backhoes and some mini front end loaders and a bobcat or two.
very nice video and if i lived up in Canada i say i ride shoot gun and take some video.
Actually, this particular machine has some sort of weird problem with a valve or something. Whenever you use the swing function, it loses most of its power, just like you were killing the fuel or something. They haven't figured out why just yet.
how many hour on it maybe it has a bad swing break, maybe a bad load sensing pump. or maybe the swing motor is bad. if it smokes alot when you load it down maybe the turbo is bad.
stop the video at exactly 7 minutes in to see his face.
do not know why i noticed that lol.

Thanks for all so far.

If you want to see 'the old school Al', go to my other channel, 'justheavyequipment'. That's where I'm putting my strictly machine oriented stuff.
You'll still find it infected with a bit of artsyfartsyitis, but it's all just machine stuff there.

Very cool, your vids give me a great sense of inner peace. For some reason, I've always found construction work to be very romantic.

Most of the Japanese manufactured machines are pretty quiet. Our EX 200 is probably just about as quiet as a car when the engine is idling.

Wouldn'it be a carburator adjustement problem? anyway very interesting video, it's very unique !
Taekkyon2coree 4 years ago
carborator? lol no
My guess that's be the swing engine being a hydrolic shortcut offering less resistance than the whole arm cilinder and aparatus.

All I know is that it's GONE now. It's been replaced with a Zaxix 75US. I'm hoping to make a vid with that one some time soon.
It's a MUCH nicer machine to operate than the one in this vid.

Oops!
I mean't 'Zaxis'.

I'm sure that thing has a throttle somewhere, REV IT UP!
