Dave's voice is amazing. It has a very special quality much like Elvis had. I wish this showed the band playing, but I don't think they were ever filmed. I have the cassette tape, but my record has a crack in it.....Both of these songs charted.....and with a female vocal on one side and a male vocal on the other is not common, especially if they both charted. Hey, bother, you did tape that 3rd song for me, and I just played it the other day when I was going through my casettes at home. ty.
Hey Guys: Dave had a special voice and was as good on guitar. I am the drummer on the records. I have the only copy of Mobiline Baby sung by Dave and recorded by the Renowns in early 1961 by Universal Recording Corp. in Chicago for Everest Records. It is a one sided 45rpm. never released. Great Song also. The Renowns are still performing and were inducted into the Minnesota Country/Rock Hall of Fame in 2005. The "Vinyl Cave" Superior WI. may have a clean copy of Wild One, @ $25. Regards
Like I said on my post on the song "My Minds Made Up" my band the Rumblebugs from Lawrence, Kansas used to do this song 1982-1990 when we played the "Bar" scene. I think this song came out in about 1962 or so and was a hit in the Kansas City area. My sister especially liked the song back then. I found a bunch of her old records and being in Rockabilly band of sorts, knew right off we had to do this old under-rated beautiful classic. Chris Issick sounds like he mite have stolen this sound.
Yeah Devin, Dad sounds wonderful! I wish I had a copy that was this clean! Thanks Rocketmorgan for posting both sides of the record!! From Andrew Nashs' (aka David Andrew Karakash) family, thanks from the bottom of our hearts! He passed away in early 2005.
