Siths were only 2 + some Dark Side users, most of them killed during Clone Wars. Jedi were few thousand. In all Galaxy. So to restore Balance, Jedi had to die, so Luke could restore them and built a New Jedi Order. Sith Order after some years is reorganised too but dont use a Rule of Two. Now we have Balance i think.

After reading Anakins' ordeal, not just watching them in a movie - you really just understand what he had to go through. I'm not an emotional person, i haven't cried since i was 6 years old, but i felt my throat constrict and i couldn't breathe when i read what he did to Padme, the night of the Jedi Purges.

What you guys don't really understand that much is that Star Wars uses a lot of eastern philosophy about the force and bringing balance to the force. However, the prophecy in Star Wars was that Anakin is supposed to bring balance to the force. Most of you think it is supposed to be Luke because he defeats the empire. WRONG.

George Lucas said Vadar brought balance to the force and peace to the galaxy when he killed Palpatine. Something Luke couldn't do. So the prophecy was true all along.

@GreekxTragedy He still is the greatest Jedi ever. He was the Chosen One. The one to bring balance to the Force. Now when I say that he brought balance to the Force, he really did. He brought the Light side of the force to power and destroyed it, turned to the Dark side and rose it to power and ultimately destroyed it as he did with the Light side. So many people thought that Anakin bringing balance to the Force meant him staying on the Light side and destroying the Sith. But it wasn't.

@GreekxTragedy You can't expect to bring balance to something without giving something to the other side of the scale. In Anakin's case, he DID destroy the Sith and bring balance to the Force. But like with all the Jedi, they had their own ideal that Anakin would just stay on the Light and bring balance. They needed to know that to bring balance to something, you have to give something to the other side for it to work. In Anakin's case, it was part of his life to turn to the Dark side to balance

If you think about it Anakin's life was fucked up, it was filled with agony and pain. And suffering as well, plus he gets burned and turned to the dark side and he loses everything and unfortunately it wasn't until the final moments of his life that he realized all the mistakes he had made
