  • R.I.P. Leslie Carter

  • wow I remember hearing this just dont remember. RIP

  • R.i.p my lovely gone way too soon

  • Aww RIP!!

  • R.I.P Leslie

  • R.I.P. Leslie. I always really loved this song! First I find out Whitney dies which is one of my greatest idols ever, then i hear Leslie Carter died too. I love all their family's music. You had a great voice Leslie. I always wanted to hear more songs from you! My prayers and thoughts go out to the Carter family love u guys!! <3

  • you are worm food hehehehe cunt

  • @sylicone221 You lie a lot. But I think I love you anyway.

  • @sylicone221 Just because your alcoholic dad touched your naughty places while your obese mama laughed, it doesn't mean you should be angry STILL. Jeez, get over it will ya?

So. When will you be on 'Hoarders'. You really look like you'd fit right in with those stinky, fat, toothless people. You aren't pretty. But that's okay. We love you anyway. Not like your daddy did, but it's better than nothing.

  • @jenny234ism you don't have to be a fan of someone to wish them in better spirits, that's called being 'respectful'. Try it sometime.

  • RIP sweetie, even for your short time with us you've been an asset to music.

  • Ive never heard this song a day in my life (until now of course). In fact,I just learned of who she is a few minutes ago and decided to see if I recognized any of her work.Nope.Then, I discovered who she actually is, well, the sister of, and then it became more clear as to why I would know her.No diss intended, just the truth.Anyways, its unfortunate.Seems she may have had some promise for the future. Not my taste in music, but, my personal taste isnt what sets societys standards in music either.

  • @Brooklyn0merta Correction: "why I WOUDLNT know her"

  • she's so pretty RIP Leslie

  • I read that they had her wear black in some parts of the video because she wasn't as 'skinny' as Britney Spears. If it's true, that's absolutely horrible.. I don't see anything wrong with her.

    R.I.P.

  • R.I.P. Leslie :(

  • So sad...I used to hear this song everywhere

Rest in Peace and I pray for her daughter

  • Why didn't you all care about/like her until ater she died? HYPOCRITES.

  • @jenny234ism i liked her before she died. i remember this song when it came out

  • @thebuckrogers22 Did you make a commet/post here/think ofher in any recent time?

  • @jenny234ism but that's how people r when a person dies. jackson, winehouse people stopped talking crap and acted like they were in love with them after they died

  • @thebuckrogers22 IKR? It's contradictory, hypocritical and downright disrespectful. I have no idea why they do it.

  • @jenny234ism do you have no idea how mass media works? you're the hypocrite if you can't open your eyes and see how the world works.

  • @Fennoscandie What exactly do you mean? Please be more specific. I don't see how I could possibly be called a hypocrite.

  • @jenny234ism because a lot of artists get "known" after they die, it's been like that for centuries

  • @jenny234ism You didn't either. I doubt anyone was a hardcore Leslie Carter fan but she had a song that everyone remembers and they're just expressing that it's sad and she should rest in peace. Is that a crime? It's what people do after someone dies.

  • r.i.p!! but she has the carter music in her blood!

  • RIP LBC :(

  • AHHH this song makes me so happy !

  • i hella remember this shit lol. like wow, cant believed she died.

  • she overdosed on psychiatric drugs. as well as heaps of other people overdosing on psychiatric drugs. THEY ARE NOT THE WAY!! There is actually 0 proof to back up the use of psychiatric drugs. No chemical imbalance.

  • @miiikoooo I've been saying that for years. There are extreme cases when it becomes unavoidable, but they are the exception to the rule. For the most part, the pharmaceutical industry would love it if we were all strung out and dependent.

  • @TheAdultChild101 Thank you! I totally agree. I volunteer for an organization that exposes psychiatric abuses cchr.org

  • @miiikoooo I just woke up, but I'll check it out. :)

  • She's wearing black in this video because music execs told her to her face she was too fat. She was 14. Does she look fat to you? Disgusting. Poor girl. Google "The Devil In Greg Dark Esquire" and you'll find the article from 2001 about the video shoot.. RIP Leslie.

  • @kcLXXXIV WOOOOOW, thanks for the heads up on that article. RIP Leslie.

  • How did she die

  • bubble gum pop...sounds like such a sweet innocent song.

  • Rest in peace Leslie Carter!!! Who is now in a better place singing next to god and the Angels.. Leslie u are truly missed,, =(

  • R.I.P.

  • r.i.p, another angel to make heaven a special place xxx

  • Rest in Peace... ...

  • R.I.P ='(

  • Rest In Piece dear! <3

  • RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP

  • R.i.p leslie

  • Great singer following in Brother's footsteps a great loss RIP Leslie Always will love this song from my childhood

  • @DrBukcake Go to Hell

  • RIP Leslie!! you were "just like wow"

  • Very sad, may she rest in peace. I am certainly no Carter family fan but I struggled with addiction and had a close friend pass away from an overdose so I know exactly what drugs can and cannot do for a person, it is a tough hurdle to get over but we all just do our best.

  • I never knew she sang this song...we'll I know she sang it but I didn't know her relation to nick and aaron....so sad.

  • i have her cd she will be missed

  • This song is on my workout playlist. RIP

  • I love this song and Leslie Carter sounded so amazing. U rocked Leslie Carter, u will be dearly missed forever and always in our thoughts, hearts and prayers.

  • Rest In Peace. Our thoughts go out to the Carter family right now.

  • You need to die to be noticed, shame. R.I.P.

  • @heylookachannel You're so quick to call yourself judge and jury on this matter. Why care that she's dead? Because it's sad, that's why. It's obvious that neither you nor I have the slightest inkling of an idea as to what led up to her death. All you're doing is stirring up the pot. That's pretty pathetic.

  • so tragic to die so young! hell 25 years old!

  • she mixed flour with cocaine in the kitchen

  • ahhhh 240p, so we meet again

  • @ijl1i huh?

  • @ijl1i huh?

  • All those memories, of being alive, are gone. That is so weird, a lot of people would consider any form of recording contract a success, but she had her 2 brothers to look at, she could never measure up. Such a crazy world we live in. Any day you wake up and realize that you are still alive, that is something to appreciate.

  • What is it about being dead that makes you more fascinating?

  • I loved this song when I was younger and I still kinda like it :X

  • RIP

  • R.I.P.

  • RIP till this day i love that song!

  • I didn't even know this girl existed until today and thats only because the news said she was Nick and Aaron Carter's sister and I kinda knew who they were so I decided to check the video out.

(didn't like the video btw, but RIP I guess)

  • I remember this song. I used to have a huge crush on Nick Carter and knew everything about him and his family. That's why this death comes as a particular shock to me when many people didn't know who she was. RIP Leslie.

  • wow.. I remember this song. Think I had the single when I was younger. In my "Aaron Carter" phase..lol RIP

  • RIP Leslie :(

  • RIP Leslie

  • RIP

  • I liked this song a buttload when I was younger. RIP Leslie.

  • wow, throwback

  • @MelissaLovesMakeup89 This video was made in the 90's, when her brothers were still famous. THATS how she was riding off their fame. Had they never been famous, she never would have had the opportunity to make a video, because she wasnt good at singing. And THATS why she hasnt been heard of, because she sucked, and none of them are big anymore. I never said I didnt think anyone should respects, dont assume I care if they do or not. Dont like that im telling the truth? Dont get on the internet.

  • @heylookachannel I am 22 years old. Yes, I jumped to conclusions - only because the informations which presented itself to me was one which made you lok like an idiot. Just like you troll the boards of YouTube and judge the dead on the lives they lived, people will inturn judge you on what they read as there is nothing else to redeem you by.

Nothing to say when she was alive? Why now? What makes anything about what you're posting seem right to you?

  • @heylookachannel And your point is? Many people in the world suffer the same addiction but are lucky to be still alive.

  • RIP Leslie. She died the same day as my cousin's 4 year old son. :( I can only hope the haters were NEVER fans of Kurt Cobain, Chris Farley, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, Keith Moon,Bruce Lee, MJ, Jim Morrison, and Elvis Presley because it would seem hypocritical to criticize this person when the other celebs died from use of drugs.

  • @julierebu07 and its not that shes "using her brothers" but shes "using her brothers fame to get some of her own".

  • Wow this is horrible. Blessing in disguise?

  • @julierebu07 do you honestly HONESTLY think this video would have ever been made had her brothers never been famous? No, it really wouldnt have. Sometimes the truth is "mean"

  • listen guys, she is young and i feel bad, i just wish she didnt die, but what can you say, seriously, one day everyone has to die. michael jackson died, jade goody, amy winehouse etc etc, everyone has to die. god chose this to happen. its his plan. she will turly be missed

  • WTF!!!!

  • R.I.P

  • It could hav been worse; she was 2 years shy of joining the infamous 2-7 club...RIP

  • She had drugs in her system at the time she died. Its not hard to deduce that she might have overdosed. Also the possibility that it was an accidental overdose. Happens more than you think.

  • SERIOUSLY PPL STFU I KNEW LESLIE BEFORE SHE DIED I LOVED HER SONG GROWING UP IT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS AND SHE DID HAVE TALENT HER VOICE WAS GOOD IDK WHY UR HATING WHEN ARTIST NOW A DAYS spefically the disney stars cant sing for shit

  • @JulieRebu07 You found the caps lock button eventually, then?

  • I played this for Roger on his 58th birthday 10 years ago.

  • So 90's.

  • @kalvinellis

She wasnt famous until she died, which is no ones fault but her own. She had no talent, and was trying to ride off of her brothers. Theres nothing wrong with people not knowing who she is until after she died. Its not our fault she sucked and couldnt get famous.

  • @ashxoffxthexwall ok its ok ppl didnt know her but u dont have to say she was using her brothers to be famous thats just mean

  • @ashxoffxthexwall Honey, it's not her fault if the news decides to talk about her, She was hardly heard from over the past 5 years, so how would she be trying to ride off her brothers? She was living her life and unfortunately she is no longer with us. Media decides what a story is and they decided it was important for fans to know. Don't like the fact that people are paying respects? Too bad.

  • God, I can't tell which is worse...the song or the video.

  • @prettycateyes14 It's like, wow.

  • You must read the Esquire magazine article about the filming of this "Like wow" video, directed by Gregory Dark. Frankly I had never heard of Leslie Cater before but I saw a link on the Popbitch newsletter and followed it up. Made me feel hollow inside.

  • @Aryxism So do you have a link to the article? I'd like to read it. (I'm too lazy to try Googling it right now, so a link would be much appreciated.) Thanks.

  • @2hotinaz Youtube won't let me attach the link, but go to esquire dot com and add the following to the end of the URL /ESQ0201-FEB_Greg_Dark_rev

  • that was a hit???? R.I.P.

  • @heylookachannel So, if someone hates YOUR brother (or sister, or other relatives) then they should also hate YOU cos you're related to them? And, you'd be fine with that? Honestly?

  • @heylookachannel Really? It's called 'respect'. Is that concept over your head? You don't have to say anything nice if you didn't like her, but if that's the case, simply say nothing at all. Is that so hard? There's a reason that for centuries we've been told to say nothing disrespectful about someone who died. Mainly cos they have no way of defending themselves, which makes it very wrong to 'speak ill of the dead'.

  • She wasn't bad. What's weird is people started talking about her only after she died. And that's kinda messed up. Same thing happened when MJ died - the media and most people considered him a laughing stock and when he died suddenly everyone started loving him and praising "how great the king of pop was". Are you guys fucked up or what.

  • @KalvinEllis you can NOT compare her with michael jackson she has like one song and EVERYONE knows who michael if i say LC who do you think of deff not leslie carter sorry just saying =D

  • @jbubbles90 I am not comparing her to him, I'm comparing the way people react in this type of situation. They either disliked or had never heard of some of the two, but when either one dies they suddenly start singing their praises. That's what I was saying. Obviously everybody loves you when you're dead.

  • @KalvinEllis I totally agree with what you said.

  • @KalvinEllis Doesn't matter if they knew or didn't know her music before she died. Someone lost their life and there is nothing wrong with paying some respect to her.

  • @MrIr8urfrigginmovie True, what I'm saying is when something like that happens everybody likes to jump on the dead person's bandwagon whether they knew who he/she was or not. That's just a little bit weird for me.

  • @KalvinEllis I do agree with you there. I was always a fan of Michael Jackson and i went to school with people who would bash and make fun of him on a weekly basis and then when he died the same people were saying R.I.P. and such. It did piss me off a bit but then i realized that it doesn't really matter if you liked him or not. The man died and it was nice to see that people were just sending respects (con'd)

  • @KalvinEllis The same for Leslie.I was never a fan of this song or her for that matter but it just seems right to show respect to someone who lost their life.

  • @KalvinEllis well the difference is that she tried to be famous and just didn't get there. For many reasons. But MJ did get there. And your right about him though. He was a laughing stock then when he died it was like oh so sad. Leslie died at a young age and what music she did make for fans is a treasure. I was personally a fan of both leslie and Mj and both devestated me. No one deserves to die at 25 or 50, Specially the way they did. =/

  • @KalvinEllis Not exactly dude...Michael Jackson was the most famous musician in the World. If Michael Jackson walked by people would notice. Sure people reminisced on his life and career after he died - thats natural. But comparing his story to Leslie Carter come on? The only reason anyone is talking about her is cause we all wonder who she is/was. After hearing this song for the first time today I doubt she'll be getting much praise.

  • @w1ldrover I answered a similar comment already. Go back and read it. I wasn't comparing her to him specifically, I compared the way people react in this type of situation.

  • @heylookachannel Do you even have a clue what the word 'struggled' means? Why would you be gloating over this tragedy if you do? Plus, nobody knows for sure at this point if it WAS an OD or not. RIP Leslie. Sorry you had to deal with people like @heylookachannel during your too-short lifetime.

  • I luv ds song

  • Why is the quality of this video so bad? Surely they could do much better than this, even 10 years ago. So sad. RIP Leslie, you did have talent. More than your brothers. Life is SO unfair, but I hope that's not what caused your death. I'm praying that they find out it was due to 'natural' causes, like a heart defect, NOT suicide. I know you had a sad life, I'm so sorry your parents were pigs who only loved themselves. People like them should never be allowed to breed.

  • I read somewhere that Dreamworks didn't wanna sign her cuz they thought she couldn't compete against Britney Spears. Then I wondered how many other girls have been passed over because of that dumb autotuned lip-synching Britney. Another reason why I hate that bitch. I think if Leslie had gotten signed by a good label and she had been appreciated by someone other than her family, then her life might've turned out differently. I feel bad for her little girl Alyssa. RIP Leslie.

  • @alessandrosgirl Erm...I'm not a huge Brittany fan myself, but to be fair they didn't even HAVE 'autotune' when she started out. But, yes, if that was the reason the label passed on Leslie, it was very wrong of them. She COULD have made it. But, I think the real reason the label passed was cos she had so many substance abuse problems. I understand WHY, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't have been a liability to the label. It's sad she didn't 'get straight' long ago. Maybe she'd still be here.

  • @alessandrosgirl your blaming britney for her death britney was a good dancer back then . and she would ,also have to compete with christina aguilera beyonce back then yeah like that was going to happen i feel sorry for her family.

  • RIP Leslie <3

  • I remeber seeing this music video back in 2001 when I was like the age of 13. I very much liked it I thought it had a good sound I really thought that she was going to be a BIG star. I am so sad that she is gone at such a young age.

    R.I.P Leslie

  • Lol, now this is blowing up? You weren't even thinking about her yesterday. Yeah, it's sad she died, and it's a terrible loss for the Carters, but did it really effect your lives that much? I for one forgot she even existed like 10 years ago.

  • Well no information about how she died has been released and autpsy's can take weeks to months to get the results.

  • I remember when I was obsessed with this song. I can't believe she's dead. RIP Leslie you will be deeply missed

  • There hasn't been an autopsy done, so don't believe everything you read online. Only tmz has the story with prescription drugs. No other website or source has it.

  • You will be missed Leslie. By your 10 month-old daughter, your husband, your lovely family and friends. God bless you. R.I.P.
