Making a Pointe Shoe

A great wee video into how pointe shoes are made. I remember my dad buying me my first pair,10 years ago...the sheer excitement! :) Makes you appreciate them more after seeing the amount of work that goes into making them. I'm lucky enough to shoes off my pointe shoes in some of my modelling work.

OMG.. I was a Ballet Dancer when I was young.. and I loved buying my Pointe ballet shoes... the smell.. the feeling.. the darning of the Pointe.. I loved it so much... and never really knew how they were made... what a fantastic Video.... made me feel a bit emotional .. all the time and effort someone put into those beautiful pair of Ballet Shoes.... it seems that the person who made them.. had the same amount of passion as I had for dancing in them... .xxxxx thank you so much. xx

I think I want to try to make a pair of point shoes just for fun. I am a dancer and also an artist (sculpture, paintings,drawings ect...) This seems like a challenge so I must try it! any suggestions welcome

we were learning that in my class the other day. i think she said it had to do with it matching the pink tights, It didnt look as flattering with the black shoes when dancing.
