I've got a 6136t and I think I'm going to change the vibrato arm to a Chet...I'm interested to to know how it'll affect the playability, if at all. I'm still finding the rolling bridge taking a little to get used too and I'm with you on the size, this thing is HUGE. Beautiful though.

Hi, thats the reason why i sold it, it was just too big, sitting down it looks fine, but on stage....

Now i sold it, and bought the Gretsch White Penguin you can see it in my other video's.

THis is the same guitar, only smaller, Duo Jet size

could it be that the older gretsch white falcon guitar (of Malcom Young for example) is much bigger than the White Falcon guitars which gretsch produced today?

I think the new White Falcon (the G6136T for example) looks much smaller on photos... or have they still the same size?

I have seen a vintage White Falcon for 20,500 AUD lol, but that seems a bit much lol.

the adverage RRP for a G6136T W/Bigsby like this one is australia is $6,899, all though i wouldnt pay that much, i got mine for about $4,000ish...

Well, Malcolm Young used a Falcon on Back in Black, check the video ( it looks HUGE on him ) and Billy Duffy from the Cult swears with the Falcon. So there's your answer, i don't think metal will sound nice, but classic hardrock it will be fine.

I sold this guitar, it's too posh for me, now i got a black gretsch power jet, which suits me much better. The falcon is too big for me i guess. Check also the band: The Living End, CHris uses Gretsches all the time.

IF you got the cash, GET ONE, serious! I've owned around 30 guitars and this one is my 2nd fav ever. The bridge on this did not move, but you can always stick it with tape to the body. Sound and playability are 10+
