  • On 85 lvl im rather enjoying doing WOTLK and TBC raids more

  • this reminds me of Doing one last heroic for the day, getting the Halls of reflections instance.. :)

  • i like cata, but how may years apart are all the expansions? i kinda feel they are rushing things

  • Man just listening to this music makes me all depressed that wrath is over...I fucking loved WotLk.

  • I hear this when i'm near or at school.

  • I´ve played WoW for 5 years, even when Cata was released. But after some weeks i thought: "WTF? Up to 200k Hp on Retail?" . I think that s 1 of the reasons why a lot of players are still complaining about Cataclysm.

  • @Suchthaxx1 Does it matter? 200k hp? or 60k hp? -_-' just some numbers

  • @Doomedlion You might think so, but i ve played since 2005 and it s getting annoying. And if u think they are "just some numbers", play it, i wont return to retail anyway.

  • @Suchthaxx1 They actually did that so heals would be more challenging and raids still possible with dumbed down healing

  • @Treebobo12 I dont mind why they did it. If u like it, ok, i can respect that, but i think they ruined the game with Cata.

  • @Suchthaxx1 in a way you are right, kinda made things ridiculous haha also blizz got hella lazy with cata, finishing with 6 raids :/

  • @Suchthaxx1 playin it for a while and lookin back, i agree with you :/ sad isnt it?

  • @Treebobo12 Yeh, it is really sad. WoW was once a really good game.

  • @Suchthaxx1 actually no. When TBC came, they said it ruined vanilla. They cryed Illidan after. When WOTLk came, they said it ruined TBC. They cryed after Arthas. When Cata came, they say it ruined WOTLK. They will cry Deathwing. When MOP will come, they will say it would have ruined Cata. And so on. A never ending vicious circle.

  • I quit playing wow when Cataclysm was released, after 4 years.

Cataclysm juist ruined everything, the feel and the total atmosphere of the game.

It used to be such a cool game

  • @MforceArts Pah, Cataclysm is my favorite expansion.

I hope someday you come back and can have as much fun as I am! :)

  • listening to icc music while its night out and noone's around you will make you feel like you're the most lonely person in the world

  • listening to icc music while its night out and noone's around you will make you feel like you're the most lonely person in the world

  • @hudan892424

    NOOT D:<

  • @rajajonconcon what makes it a bad expansion?

  • @hudan892424

    NOT

  • Listening to this at night? Don't try it. Don't. Try. It. (Or... don't be a wimp like me.)

  • hall of reflection... tanks leaving, healers leaving, all alone as a lonely dps. waiting for new tanks and healers to join in.... brrrr

  • Music in WotLK was awesome. btw = why must Arthas die ? -.-

  • tirion should have used goblins and make global warming.

then arthas' kingdom would just melt away......done

  • chuck norris listens to this when he tries to sleep.

  • I loved wrath. It had the potential to be greater than it was. But Ulduar and heroic Icecrown were both great, as was the entirity of northrend. I kinda want to go back to the beginning of wrath with the knowledge I have now. I sucked horribly till ToC.

Ah well, at least I finished Wrath with Light of Dawn.

  • @Helljumper91 I liked the beg of wotlk. but i didnt like alot of the raids, just my opinion but other than ICC none of them fit the expansion, i was hoping northrend to look alot more unforgiving.

  • @Brotection I honestly thought Ulduar was amazing. Far better than ICC in my opinion. The hardmodes in Uld were challenging enough to be fun even into ICC.

  • @Helljumper91 Yeah i loved ulduar as a raid but i didnt really see is as a lich king raid. didnt have much death to it, but i thought wotlk would be more of death. ulduar had some lore in it but... only yogg had to do wit death and toc just plain sucked ass... naxx was kinda easy, they just threw in the war with malygos to fill a raid spot, id rather have had a raid with vrykul since they are like lich kings hoes. and obsidian sanctum was... wtf, so was VoA

  • @Brotection I definitely agree with you on ToC, EoE and OS. But as far as the atmosphere of Ulduar, I think it was MEANT to be a change from the scourge infested Icecrown. It woulda been kinda boring if all the raids had to do with the scourge...

  • @Helljumper91 Yeah i kinda figured it would also, but only 2 raids had scourge even though thats what the expansion was based off of. but if it had 4 like BC did with mainly demon raids id much rather have seen OS and ToC taken out and replaced with something like a vrykul and nerubian raid. or sumtin along those lines.

  • @Brotection ToC and OS should never have been put in the game. I had a friend joke once that they "botched the 3.2 patch really badly. We were supposed to get a raid and instead we got ToC". OS was always a joke, it was a loot raid designed for people who dont know how to play the game.

  • @Helljumper91 VoA was also. didnt see the point of free loot bosses, so is BH. I hope they release Firelands and CoT:WoTA at the same time so we dont have just 1 raid to do... plus i really wana do WoTA.

  • @Brotection To be honest I stopped raiding after Light of Dawn, I burned myself out getting heroic LK. But I'm hoping the new raids are good, just in case I do decide to come back at some point.

  • @Helljumper91 u can come back now if u have cata since they give a free week each patch

  • ICC <3

  • This was way better than cataclysym.

  • Oh yes the ICC times ;D

  • Appeal to "casuals" has ruined gaming.

  • @AnguishSuffering No it hasn't. People don't have time to raid 5-7 nights a week and farm for mats hours upon hours prior to the raid. Those days are long gone and WoW is better for it.

  • ICC was a easy raid. nuff said. Way to make an end game raid puggable blizz <3

  • @conker878

Go take on the Lich King on Heroic. Suddenly it gets not-so easy!

  • @conker878 LK25MHM is easy? No. However that may be a bad statement if you are in a 12/12HM guild, in that case take off the buff that's been carrying your ass and try to kill him.

  • kicking myself so hard for skipping Wrath right now. I deleted all my toons at the end of BC and am scrambling to get ready for Cat. I missed a great expansion.

  • @Inferno41 No you didnt:)

  • @stenland Well, not completely ;) but with all my toons deleted I'm racing to get back to 80. I'll be lucky to play even one raid by the time Cat drops.

  • @Inferno41 No you didn't, worst time in wow imo (besides Ulduar)

  • @ZeNoodle After playing with some of the retards who've gotten in to terrible habits thanks to Wrath, I have to agree with you.

  • @Inferno41 There were retards in WoW LONG before WotLK came out.

  • Sounds like fable kinda...

  • Sounds like God of war...I like it

  • grat music !!

  • so depressing but so delightful

  • The thing i like best about wow, is Icecrown Citadel's effect's. The glowing stream floading on the roof. Undeads who will kill anyone who stands in there way, the epic theme song's. And finnally just Northrend and THE LICH KING himself!

Rate up sons of the horde and the alliance!

  • @Heyadudexd The daughters too c':

  • session orchestra ftw

  • ARTIST?

  • By far one of my all time favourites from Blizzard.

Makes me want to do Halls of Reflection everyday :P

  • The beginning sounds alot like One Ring to Rule THem All from Lord of the Ring.

  • 1:17 you hear the guy who plays the music breathing between 2 parts

(thanks to my new ahsum headphone)

  • everybody has to breath sometime. Well, except the undead, Because thier dead.

  • I can hear it too. You can also hear it very well at the "Stormpeaks" music.

  • @rednas3636

As a musician myself, I have to say, there wouldn't be any musicians to play this beautiful music if we didn't breath!

  • This has to probably be my favorite track of all icecrown.

  • Amm guys? This Vid is very cool i think. Do ya know a place where can i download to mp3? :D

  • @Mynameisunknown100

if you download MpqEditor you can brouse all the WoW music

  • @Mynameisunknown100

If you want an mp3, google the YouTube Downloader. It lets you download videos from YouTube, and then convert them to a multitude of different formats, mp3 being one of them.

  • This music kinda reminds me of Black Temple.

  • I've learned to fear this music by playing as a tank in Heroic Halls or Reflections. Man that's a tough one.

  • @palgash lmao yes its a nightmare

  • You said it, I gotta be careful as hell as a dps too, I gotta be constantly focus targetting the tank for both gaunts.

  • @palgash indeed from the healer side, not fun place

  • it's great when tanks feel the need to tell you where to stand like they know anything about range aggro, too.

  • @palgash HoR was easy if you knew how to play

  • @Helionova15 HoR was hard if the other 4 members of your group had a I.Q. of a brick.

  • @rarma Only if the healer was retarded but that worked for almost any dungeon dps wasnt as critical, it was awesome to have a disc priest in there.

  • @palgash yea the whole 3.3 was pretty tough content when it got released but it was also damn fun stuff :) i still remember my first LK kill...

  • I love 9:07 - 9:38

  • from 7:50 there is your OMFG DARK CRAP MOMMY !! now stop whining

  • Comment removed

  • @iztypo What is a nerd?

  • meh...its awsome music no doubt but i would like to hear some realy evil touch to it since he is the prince of darkness in game XD

  • @ diecaste123

ozzy osbourne is the price of darkness xD

  • if they went crazy with DArk music then its just not right, u gota have a sense what arthas WAS therefore they make the music kinda like oooooo im scary not really i wear pink:P i lie again im ur worst nightmare........ understand

  • You are absolutely right.....

  • So you want to feel depressed throughout the entire instance? srsly.

  • I understand where you are coming from, but don't get your hopes down.

Trust me, this is probably the ambiance of the area. And even so, there are 2 more wings to settle into.

And besides the main point, what is your purpose to call someone a "nerd" then?

  • I'm simply saying, calling others nerds isn't doing anything for yourself, or to anyone else. Your accuracy on labeling people are wrong. But you'll just continue name calling, so why bother.

That is besides the point. You are calling the music bland, when really this is probably just one part of the instance. I'm pretty sure Arthas isn't going to have this music playing when you are fighting him.

You have to realize, different music belongs to different areas. Not just "Hey, this is epic!"

  • I'm sorry, was the term sexual anywhere needed in this conversation? Oh. I didn't think so. And also, it's not simply the fact that it is a "nerd" disagreeing with you, it's the simply fact that you just do not understand how to work in-game music.

In other words, >you have no taste (Like I said earlier.)

Also, an insult like "nerd" doesn't hurt anyone anymore. Be less cliche and try harder.

  • what anooys me about wow is that the spells arent BLASTY KERPOW POW EXPLOSION enough.i mean, maplestory has better attack animations ffs. maybe then destroying a 400m tall fire dude (ragnaros) or a massive magic dragon(malygos) would seem more believable then 'wow a bubble is around me.woot!'

  • @bangsmccoy12

You've never done anything more than a five man, have you? There are plenty of spells that satisfy your BLASTY KERPOW POW animation desire; and they all cause massive lag when you have 25 people doing them all at once. Single target moves are more subtle for a reason (and even then, I would call sprouting glowy wings or shooting telekinetic lasers "subtle"). It's so that when the boss fight necessitates movement, you can actually move.

  • i see your point

    im just an aesthetics whore

you know, pretty lights, etc etc

  • Anyone know the name of the song that plays in Lord Marrowgar's room? I love that one

  • I think it's Sindragosa... Maybe.. Possibly....

  • @Casemaster3000 Dominika uploaded that one aswell, he entitled it with "Music of Icecrown - Ambience (WalkJ)"

  • I don't like this. Too... Dull and 'simple'.

It could had worked for Rhonin's chambers or somewhat if you want to talk to the guy, but for the Citadel... Something more tense? - Black Citadel or Wintergrasp mayhaps.

Then again, I stopped liking World of Warcraft each step of the way as we entered WOTLK.

  • @Mhokdor Stand by. After a few months, you will replace the world "WOTLK" with "Cataclysm", just as your replaced "TBC" with "WOTLK". The music in Wotlk is better than any other expansion, including failnilla.

  • Failnilla was Warcraft.

The Burning Crusade was meeting Sci-Fi, too far out of range with WC3: The Frozen Throne.

Wrath of the Lich King was a legendary story which in my mind just... Ruined the whole thing.

Blizzard admitted itself, the storyline followed in WoW isn't similar, or even to the same scale, as Warcraft itself. World of Warcraft is now a parody to Warcraft which is out of boundaries.

And I personally don't like the result.

I quit especially due to Cataclysm.

    (Curse ye 500 limit!)

  • Vanilla held the essence of the Warcraft story and made the adventurer a miniature hero. The most heroic act was dragonhunting. Simple. I liked that.

Then we went and chased a lore-villain in TBC. Defeating two gigantic armies of demons. Us mortals.

Warcraft's most advanced technology used to be the steam tank. Somehow Draenei got spaceships and lasers.

In the Wrath of the Lich King we will suddenly defeat an army that survives by outpowering and outmanning us.

    By ourselves.

  • @Mhokdor and that, will return in Cataclysm.

In TBC I agree, I fel a little bit like in Star Trek. In WOTLK, are you sure you have done HoR, and listened to what Uther said?

  • @Mhokdor Vanilla was not Warcraft at all. If you are refering to warcraft 3, just no. No link between them. Almost even no lore. TBC was tha big disappointment, but Wotlk fixed it. The only think good in vanilla(compared to wotlk), was the world pvp, and world bosses.

  • Naw, don't feel I agree with you on that.

Vanilla did lack the fact that there was very little Scourge and demonic contact, yet it did make me feel like one of the regular, as a good roleplaying area does (Unless of-course it's D&D or the such! ;) )

Dragonslaying and treasure hunting. Those were the days! Let the real heroes and the armies of your faction handle the big trouble! You're just a single dwarf/orc in a huge realm.

Nowadays you're too much of a blooming hero-wannabe.

    Happy 2010!

  • Vanilla WoW was great, yes, but it only explained one part of a game... Where was the rest?

Warcraft ended with Arthas at his throne. So what... game over? No.

WoW takes place 4 years after Warcraft, but what Blizzard wanted to do was tell the remaining story with each Expansion pack.

Vanilla WoW = Warcraft I: Orcs and Humans

    BC = Warcraft II: ToD

WotLK = Warcraft III: Frozen Throne

Now that there is nothing to backtrack on, they are continuing their lore how they see fit. imho: <3 wotlk

  • @maisboyfriend

Actually no, because the history of Vanilla WoW starts just after the end of WC3.

  • @EndlessMater Well obviously it does, Lore wise. But as mechanic wise, Blizzard said they wanted to continue their lore in game order, from WC I - III, through WoW.

  • @maisboyfriend

    No.

Lore wise, the history from WC I - II is over when WoW starts. Everything that comes with WoW, the Burning Crusade and the Wrath of the Lich King is new Lore. You can check the offical timeline on wowwiki.

  • @EndlessMater That's exactly what I said...

I said Lore wise everything is done during WoW, but as mechanic wise, Blizzard said THEMSELVES that they wanted to tell their lore in the order to how they made it from previous Warcraft games.

  • I will say WoTLK has better questing content and Warcraft relation than the previous. However, I don't believe the endgame is up to par with at least TBC.

  • Comment removed

  • It's not that. It's the fact that, to you, it sounds boring and dull. But to seemingly everyone else, apparently it's a great piece.

You are just an average gamer, that has no style or taste in where, or what it should be like.

Sorry for the sling of "insults", but it was the only way I could put it.

  • Lol. No one cares.

  • OooOOOo freaky me like dark music

  • Comment removed

  • Indeed. Quite bleak...

  • @iztypo Well, lets look at the prouder music. Ulduar, that music was proud because you're walking through a god-made city unlocking secrets. ToC, this is Heroic because you're fighting to prove yourself, Icecrown is made to be eerie and haunting because you're in a citadel that has nothing more than Death and despair within it's dark walls.

  • Sounds about as much like Black Temple as it does like Karazhan. Seriously! That's the exact same bell chime sound! But yeah, getting kind of sick of ppl going out of their way to make Icecrown out to be BT part 2.

Thanks for sharing. Planning on grabbing this music when the patch goes live.

  • Amazing music

  • I noticed how the music in icecrown instances sounds alot like black temple. Is it just me?

  • it's similar I guess in sounding 'dark'

  • No,I've noticed that too!

  • this music is actually in the Halls of Reflection, it's very fitting

  • i been lookin fword to the music when at the frozen throne. that better be fucking epic. like the one from the wotlk cinamatic
