That's not true Jurs21. Migrants are dying to assimilate into U.S. culture so much so that they prefer their children do not even learn spanish, as valuable as a second language is in the world.

Either way I'm glad that you concede a human being is not illegal. That means we can work towards a solution.

I believe the only real solution is giving migrants a reason to stay in their own countries or at least stop giving them reasons to leave in the first place.

I see hispanics on a daily basis. I cant agree with your first point. Unfortunatly, the majority of what I see is hispanics seaking spanish to their kids and it's reciproctaed. It's not about having a clue, or having a choice. It's the only choice. It's a choice between bad and worse. She's not arguing that migrants staying in the U.S. illegally should have labor unions, just that all workers' rights should be protected. Migrants are working in the U.S. even if anti-migrant advocates don't notice the pennies they've been saving off the food they eat, the lawns they enjoy, and the houses they live in.

Jurs21, if that were true, then yes, it would be wrong. However, "illegal aliens" cannot get welfare, it is impossible. Even if they have a fake social security number, they will not try to get welfare with it. As far as medical care, immigrants are less likely to use medical services and visit emergency rooms than the native born. It isn't an opinion, it is fact.

Medical care - you are correct, no one can't be denied treatment. But undocumented go to emergency rooms at lower rates than native born.

Accountability - sure. I agree that they broke a law when they came illegally or overstayed illegally. But that does not make the human being illegal.

Besides, slavery was legal not too long ago. Were runaway slaves illegal?
