reminds me of a sad Kronos Quartet...or Arvo Part piece...there's some sectrions in this piece that are so perfect...to convey the intrinsic sadness in this instrument's sound...she should be praised...not scorned. She's got some serious talent...and the people who go "ugg"....should go back to the plains of schlock they came from...
Your chords are pretty bad. Your bow is also relly tight. If you are able to move your pinky finger inbetween the bow hair and wood freely then your bow is too tight.
Some synthetic bows are permanently shaped like that - the "hair" does not slack. Perhaps it's one of those. I'd say she would know how to tighten a bow...
@HaroldandFred **true musicians: "the tightness of the bow's hair doesn't matter when you're playing. The most important thing is the sound the it'll produce. and the sound of the instruments is depending on the player (celloist).... ''in baroque music, all musicians have freedom in holding their instruments. no rules. the important thing is the soft sound on the instrumet. " : ))
@sori1004jyIsupportU That is a load of crap. The tightness of your bow determines how many overtones come out of your instrument. Your bow has to be at certain tightness to produce the most possible overtones.
You play nicely. It does seem as if the bow is WAY too tight though, what's up with that? Check out "1 cello x 16" by zoe keating...she uses loops too, you might like it.
This sounds so amazing, i really really enjoy it. Kind of nice peaceful drone sound. Have you ever experimented with effect pedals in combination with the loop? A delay would sound incredible, I think.
that's funny because i felt so nervous and insecure when i was filming it, i posted this as a way of overcoming my nerves and insecurites w.r.t. my cello playing.
See i was thinking of doing this just i need 2 find the money for a loop. u do verry well. Any one know where i can find a good pick up for the cello?
nice ;)

ahehe,... no. it's not. you must know about Baroque music.
sori1004jyIsupportU 1 year ago
the softness of the sound is depending on the force you applied in bowing. for you see the baroque bows are really tight. : ))

That's the Yamaha SVC110 right? Cool cello, pedals work better on the SVC210 for some reason though.
