  • If I could go back in time I'm going to a doors concert for sure - you were soo lucky and priviledged....

  • Great pics

    Thanks for sharing

  • extraordinary pics!!!!!!!!!

  • yes, i am the man who claims to be jim morrison reincarnnated. i talked to robbie krieger on t-f, 1.24.25.2008, at 223am cst, on midnight radio, coast to coast am w george noory. the doors always make me happy, except for my early demise man.

  • jim was starting to loose his looks and and couldnt hit the notes as good as he use too when he started becoming a alcoholic and doing hrd drugs

  • @candoanything654

Yes sometimes drugs is all that keeps us alive, and like life can also kill us. This group is a history lesson of contradictions none of which will matter if he (jim) was losing his looks. The group will go down in history as incredible

  • Greatest rock sound/show I ever heard bar none. This group is among the best of all time. I can listen to versions of light my fire all day, till I am dead. I hope to meet Morrison one day. I wish his dad was closer to him and then perhaps he would not have done drugs as much.

  • I wonder what robby was on 6:54

  • where is a version where robby krieger plays the guitar solo and encorporates the melody of the beatles ELANOR RIGBY into the guitar solo?

  • INCREIBLE !

  • INCREIBLE !

  • @TheDoorsFanFabi Thanks man sooooo cool. Just love love Jim, (~_~)

  • i wish i was half as handsome as Morrison....

  • what's going on from 4:10 minutes? Maybe Jim was doing something crazy on stage?

  • This is great stuff man !!!

  • incredible photos!!! the song is the most flash i was ever feel! lsd forever!!!

  • I was there that night at the Auditorium in Chicago. It was my very first concert. I was a high school senior working with that afternoon with a friend at local grill. He had 2 tickets for the concert, his date was sick, so he asked if I would go instead. I couldn't get my purple mini-dress on quick enough. I remember the deep red velvet seats and how Jim Morrison strutted about the stage in his black leather pants, stopping to take a swig of beer from his can on the floor. They were so intense.

  • @terrileeish I wasn't even born yet, but dammit how I would give up my soul for only being there for a few spare moments.

  • @terrileeish -- As I posted earlier in this thread, I was also at that concert. Do you remember Morrison standing on top of the amps and doing back flips down onto the stage? My buddy actually has some Super 8 film that we shot at that concert and he's trying to put it together with this version of Light My Fire.

  • @terrileeish It must be so incredible to listen to this now in 2011 and know that you were in that crowd 40+ years ago. That's amazing.

  • @terrileeish woo man it was increible that you were there congratulation youre a lengend too

  • @terrileeish Mis respeto, desde Chile c:

  • The Doors: Greatest Band of All Time...

  • I was thinking about Pam in his life...I mean maybe he would have still be alive, if she was on her game.....how can you let your love spit up blood, just let him die....in a tub? the man was before his time......mixed up Horse for cocaine....she had her demons to deal with afteer that and OD 3 years later... no great loss there...dam drugs.......what a loss... and great loss with Jim Morrison..... and I was too young to remember him... knew the music..... but not the man... I was 10 when

  • what's with this shit about morrison being bisexual. remember that old book about the doors showing jim giving kreiger a "simulated" one. anyone have the cap on this shit one way or the other what i see here is a blue blooded heterosexual

  • @up2space absolutely. Robby Krieger's guitar--was bisexual.

  • what's the story behind the first photo in this video? I've seen a few pics of this before and there's a lot of other people besides jim and pam that i do not recognize.

  • Can you imagine being the person in the audience that recorded this?!?!

  • is...... wonderful !

  • In my opinion in this video there should be no pictures of Jim with Patricia tht girl was crazy but Pam on the other hand atleast had half a brain

  • Man in a way I'm sure some of you will agree that if Pamela and Jim had not met he may still be here alive with us today because even the people he hung out with will go on record as saying she 'Pamela Courson' got him into heroin which he overdosed on in a way as a Doors fan I'll never forgive her for that.

  • @warriorsfunny i wouldn't go so far as to speculate what Jim's life would have been like without Pam. Something tells me he'd have still found a way...but I will agree with you that she certainly couldn't have been a good influence....they were like gas and fire...

  • @GrizzlTooth yea i meant it like i wonder without her influence maybe he could have been little less resistant with sobriety

  • I used to really like Ray Manzarek and Robbie.. But The two of them have been leaching off of Jim for years.. John is the only one with sense enough to realize theyre music can not be re-preformed without Jim.. The magic isn't there.. the spark isn't there. JIM isnt there.. When Astbury was singing with them he even tried to BE Jim. They're a joke.

  • @Shawneerain123- Yes, I saw the Doors (along with Hendrix, the original Mothers, etc.etc.), and I was supposed to go to Woodstock, but I had to work at the grocery store that weekend while all my friends went off to New York and the Fest!!

I envy that you got to Woodstock. :^)

  • 6:56 HAHHAhA that is funny.

  • WOW I thought I had looked and drooled over every pic of Jim. I was so wrong. Where did you find them ?

  • I was at this very concert. If you listen to the end of the song, you'll notice that the band doesn't do the tag that's supposed to end it.

That's because by this time, Morrison had invited the entire audience onto the stage and everyone rushed the stage at the end and they couldn't finish the tune.

It was one of the most electrifying concerts I'd ever been to.

  • @deanguy66 Let me get this correct. You went and seen in the flesh The Doors? I so envy you I'll trade you my Woodstock for your Doors.

  • @copperjones1915 but your much better your a sober loser

  • drunk loser he became!

  • 4:07 ... I THINK ITS A LITTLE BITT HOT ON THE STAGE HAHAH

  • This is an awsome video! thanks for posting it

  • hi

come to visit our tribute channel to james douglas morrison....poet

  • Great stuff! Wish I'd been at that concert.

  • Haha! The Doors moving to Venice in a vw T1 camper

  • superlative photos to accompany this nice bootleg

    pretty neat, pretty good

  • Ray not only plays the keyboards and drums he also plays the guitar... check out the live in New York that came out last year. he plays the guitar on build me a woman... sounds pretty groovy...

  • 6:32 is life.

  • sence ray is playing drums at 3:41 is john then playing the organs???

  • 0:54 is just awesome. Ray on the Vox. You gotta love it!

  • is this the riot concert!?

  • 6:32... best pic

  • Yeah, great pictures... He should have used anti-perspirant.

  • great photo selection never seen before!

  • Pam Coursen was a vision of loveliness but haven't seen much of her since 1974. Dan O'Niallain, Grafton, Ma.

  • @oniallain1965 Maybe that's because she's dead. She was a worthless drag on Morrison and was responsible really for Morrison's death. She had a bowl of China White heroin in their room and Morrison must have snorted some (this is the best guess we can come up with)...mixing with the alcohol in his system it knocked a blood clot loose from his lungs and blocked his heart, killing him.

  • @pacnwcomre so, who gave you the authority and cosmic knowledge to come to such a conclusion? many experts and people with far greater in sight have investigated and been unable to determine a cause of death. there are far too many variables and unknowns. clearly indicate that is your opinion or theory and do not invoke the collective "we" in an attempt to lend credence to your claims.

  • @mrsdelongchamp Don't be silly. It has nothing to do with "cosmic knowledge" but rather all of the evidence that has been collected to reach a reasonably good judgment. I've read every book on Morrison and I am sure you can't try to refute me. Read Stephen Davis' book "Jim Morrison: Life, Death, Legend. " it came out in 2004. It explains what probably happened. It's still conjecture but it is based on facts. Courson and her China White were a bad influence on him. Read the book.

  • @mrsdelongchamp The official cause of death was heart failure but no autopsy was performed to find out. Morrison must have snorted a line in his apartment or he scored some China White at the disco he was reported as being at......we just don't know. Placing overdose victims in a bath tub was a practice. One account had him snorting in the bathroom. Morrison had a lung infection as he had coughed up blood a day before. A loosened blood clot from a heroin reaction to the alcohol might be it

  • this was vancouver not chicago idiot who posted

  • Great pictures in this video! THANK YOU!

  • sorry 7years old

  • 9years old living in some god forsaking place away from so called family the year 1970 but i;ll never forget hearing light my fire for the first time on the radio

  • jim's always wasted but he's the best

  • jim morrison eating a taco,,,,

  • 3,41 it so rare ..this picture is in??????'

  • Why was ray on drums in that one pic? Was John sick or something?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, Fabi, you made my day! Such an audio documentary enfolded in a quite splendid selection of photographs!!!

Insightful! Jim eating his "tacos" with total fruition at 7:16 and at 7:40, the place at Av. Insurgentes Sur where they played here in Mexico City in 1970, the "Forum",

I was 13 at that time and only "fresas", yuppies from 21 up were to be admitted!! Jim still alive and kicking...those were the days, my friend!

    Many, many thanks indeed!!!

    Minerva from Mexico.

  • Hey, anyone know why Ray is playing drums at 3:41? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Ray was playing drums, then Organ and bass with his feet.

  • @RayManzarekGod thats crazy!! then again if you didn't know, live in boston 1970 ray plays the guitar while robby plays the bass guitar on been down so long too bad ray played it too fast

  • @greatcomedian18 Yeah! Dude I actually just downloaded that on Itunes, where did the Doors get A bass guitar from? I know they actually did about 10 concerts with a bassist, I think the Felt Forum has a bassist.

  • @greatcomedian18 Btw look at 4:04, Ray's organ has no bass on it.

  • @RayManzarekGod that is weird but gibsons can play 2 octaves of bass versus a farfisa or vox

  • @greatcomedian18 Really wierd, I doubt he wouldve used the G101 bass, its not the greatest.

  • @RayManzarekGod They enjoyed messing around at their shows. I know that their performance in Boston, 1971, Ray started playing guitar and Robby jumped on the organ during Been Down So Long. It was like near the end of a four hour show. Haha

  • @Epiphone982 I think I have the recording of that!! Haha.... Thanks for the answer man :) I read in Rays book that he actually had to take over on guitar when Robby and John were so pissed they walked off stage...

  • @Epiphone982 GREAT channel BTW.... Sent a friend request yer way.

  • thank god for fans or there would bve shit on the doors for live concerts and thats the fukin truth
