Your all actually wrong about the figure skaters. What actually happened is one of the pieces that keep the net in place got caught under the zamboni and was digging in the ice, the driver didnt notice and left one long line dug into the ice about 2 to 3 inches wide and about 2 to 3 inches deep. The players were just trying to fill the hole with snow. You will notice at 0:15 theres a long line in the ice where it dug in

The Zamboni broke halfway through the varsity game(of all times) and managed to dig a hole the length of the ice on the way out, so both teams had to get on their hands and knees and pack loose ice into it before they could keep playing.

Hockey skaters knock over little four-year-olds on ice. Oh, and male figure skaters actually have guts. Oh, I'm sooo bitter ;) [mostly because they never apologize and get in the way of those terrified, sweet little couples you see tripping over their skates]. at someone's earlier comment: what self-respecting figure skater checks out a hockey player? that's betrayal to the art of skating! (biased and loving it ;P)

they aren't stretching, they're fixing all of the holes in the ice with snow, sometimes after a figure skating team is done, there are holes from the front of their skates digging into the ice. thats why us hockey players hate figure skaters, accept the hot ones :)

The zamboni made a 5 cm thick gash all down the middle of the ice between the second and third period of the game so the players had to fill it with snow in order to finish the game.
