  • ERNEST IS THE BEST XD

  • ROFL!!!! I love at the end when he says "I know nothing" the way Schultz used to.

  • LMFAO oh that just made my day!

  • lol love this guy...i miss him R.I.P.

  • Was there a part of any of his shows were what Vern looks like?

  • I was a 90's kid. This guy always made me laugh! Wish he was still here.

  • He would probably make a great host of a TV Show where he shows us how guns work like "Lock 'n Load With R. Lee Ermey", hell Jim would make a better host than R. Lee Ermey. He's such a curious man.

  • He reminds me of Forrest Gump, lol

  • @LifesongMD He was around WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY before Forrest Gump.

  • This world probably would have been a better place if he hadn't died. I was one of the last funny men. Reubens has lost his Mojo since the masturbation scandel. I read somewhere in a clinic magazine where he died of lung cancer at the age of 50.

  • So funny!!!!!!!

  • he said ww2 was some good times, lol!

  • We miss you Jim. RIP.

  • O, Ernest.I've missed you, this is too good haha.

  • That's a British STEN machine gun (.45) made out of machine stamped parts, used by British paratroopers and secretly dropped into France for the French Underground to use to fight the Nazis. Not very accurate, good for only 50 yards or less, "spray and pray".

  • @RacerXGTO Negative, it is Sten MK2 9mm submachine gun and it is accurate as any other submachine gun. However, the Japanese Yakuza are known to use it in their illegal operations years after World War II. It doesn't fire .45 rounds, which was widely used by the US while the British uses 9mm rounds.

  • Another dangers of guns commercial

  • OMG that's so funny

  • Ciggerete lighter? must have been one hell of a cigerrete in WWII.

    Ernest rules

  • wow he is like ripped lol

  • I wished he really hadn't known what a cigarette was. Come to think of it, I wished I didn't know what one was either. 6 years clean! Do not smoke, people!

  • Oops!

  • "WWII, I bet them was some great times."

  • Jim Varney looks alot like Mike Rowe and Mike Rowe looks alot like Jim Varney.

Notice when the commercial just starts up. Look at Jim's muscles.

    Mmmm Mmmm

I have always thought Jim as sexy and handsome.

  • Must be some cigarette lighter...lol Fancy one I do believe XD

  • OMG he died..... now i'm really hurt, but this was my favorite part in the clips... i know nothing i- t- tah

  • OMG he died..... now i'm really hurt

  • best part iis when he says this must be wsome kind of sigeret lighter lower then the gun goes off

  • ...That thing actually kicked out shells...those were real rounds...real...fake rounds but they were real shots nonetheless.

  • "Ya know, Vern? This must be some kind of a cigarette lighter." *Squeezes off a bunch of rounds* "I know nothin'!"

  • omg, that was great

  • RIP to the legendary Jim Varney

  • Earnest was great but "W-W-2, I bet those were some great times" just makes you wonder....

  • @WarriorOfSeaHD I don't know. My dad was stationed in the Pacific theatre during WWII. He said it wasn't all bad times. But the Japs weren't nearly as stupid as they were portrayed on shows like McHale's Navy. And I'm sure the Germans were a lot brighter than Klink and Schultz. If the Japanese and the Germans had been that stupid, France and Mexico could have taken them. I know one thing though. I wouldn't have wanted Ernest anywhere around me with a loaded weapon.....LOL.

  • EPIC! I love Earnest!

  • I wonder if it was a mistake :L

  • fake?

  • I wish there was asten in my garage!

  • this is my fav of all

  • Peter- "HE GOT THE SHOTGUN, BRIAN! I DON"T KNOW HOW BUT JIM VARNEY GOT THE SHOTGUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!"

    Brian- "WHAT?"

    PETER- "RUN!"

  • "You know, Vern, this must be some kind of cigarette lighter."

Only Ernest. lol I can't believe Jim's been gone for 10 years, now.

  • man, wish he was still alive

  • @jjj5541 Yeah, me too---so sad---and I have some good and bad memories associated with the 80's------wish we were back then ya know......seemed like better times back then and things in the world weren't so screwed up as nowadays

  • @micmoable We need Ronald Reagan

  • @Rob09221982 YES RR was the best!

  • @Rob09221982 Fuck that shit. Murray N. Rothbard said it best. Ronald Reagan was the worst thing to ever happen to this country in his lifetime.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 He must have said it before that shithead Obama came slithering along.

  • @jjj5541 man I do too !

  • @jjj5541 WHAT I DIDIN"T KNOW HE WAS DEAD

  • @Manuellinker1 welp, sorry i gotta be the one to break it to ya, but Jim Varney was a long time heavy smoker. He developed lung cancer and died.

  • @jjj5541 Oh ididn't know that he died

  • one of my childhood heroes

looks JUST like my granddad here

    it's a shame he's gone

  • it's one of the earlier movie props. fired just what you see, with no recoil, that's all Varney. What a guy! I don't believe he ever once bemoaned being typecast. He loved what he did and you could tell.

  • Yes he loved. Jim Varney was truely drama material. And he wisely brought some of that to Ernest as needed.

P.s. I miss him, one of best memories of my childhood.

  • jim varney aka ernst p worrell was one of the biggest parts of my childhood when things were bad his movies and commercials always made me laugh and i still watch his movies to this day rip jim varney you will be forever missed

  • lol i was watching ernest in the army today and that gun was in the movie

  • jim varney was the best, too bad they're gonna have to replace him in toy story 3, suks that he died, he was so funny

  • this must be some kind of cigarette lighter....

  • thats a british sten gun

  • They didn't look like it...? I mean, if they were, the cameraman would've backed farther away from him.

  • lol i know nothing!

  • I KNOW NOTHING hahaha

  • LOL

  • I will buy 1,000 can's of whatever he's selling for these commercials to run again.

  • I can always use a good laugh! Earnest rocks!

  • I loveeeeee Jim Varney! I have his classic commercials Vol1 on VHS! oh man really great comedy in his commercials! Hes my hero!

  • I use to watch Ernest all the time. Almost 3 times a week every week. Ernest Scared Stupid was cool, and Ernest goes to School, and Ernest saves Christmas, I seen Ernest goes to Camp wat too many times, but it's good too. I found some old tapes of it, and I watch them here and there. Man... way too many good memories.

  • isnt thatr a type 100 lol ernest rules

  • It's a Sten gun. The British made them during WWII as a cheap 9MM submachine gun. They were often supplied to French Resistance forces because they were cheap and easy to produce as well as the fact that they used the same ammunition as the German MP 40.

  • Ernest Your The Best!

  • i miss jim varney he was best actor i like him in The Beverly Hillbillies he was funny i realy do miss him ^_^

  • He did a lot of promos for Channel 7 (WDBJ) in Roanoke VA...I rememeber it well! This was circa '83...maybe '84 at the latest...I remember it was a big thing to have him doing the promos and I think he even did local live appearances....they were selling Ernest masks by the ton and I bought about 12 of 'em. Got a lot of pics of me wearing those dumb masks everywhere I went! Fun times!

  • I grew up in Baton Rouge where he did a number of local commercials too. Years later I moved to Roanoke. I loved Varney's character as a kid. Still do actually.

  • That gun is actually a British Sten Mk II automatic

  • "You know, Vern, this must be some kind of cigarette lighter." *gun goes off* LOL that was too funny!

Ernest was the coolest and a big highlight of my childhood...R.I.P. Jim Varney :)

  • HAIL JIM!

  • I dunno. he looks pretty spooked even for ernest lol

  • Did they really shoot up that garage? It looked and sounded pretty real, and they didn't exactly have a budget back then.

  • well its from like the 80s and its a tv comercial safe for kids <.<

  • uhh yeah i know that..i was a kid too you know..why do you think im a fan of jim varney

  • Actually, the smoke is in the right direction, since his first shot was directed towards the ceiling. Secondly, there would be no bullet holes since his line of fire extends outside of the camera frame. I agree
