This is rich. The "Republitard, Let's commence hostilities at the drop of a hat" crowd criticizing two Democratic Presidents for rushing to war. If they had not, you'd be the first here to call them "pussies" or "wimps". Hypocrisy sucks regardless of context.
Regardless of how you feel about the war (and I doubt many people support it at this point), you can't really deny that Kennedy and Johnson did far more to get us into it than Nixon, who essentially got us out. It was a messy situation and actions by both parties can be criticized, but you can't just rewrite history, period.
@firesoforion from what i remember in school history. kennedy didn't want anything to do with vietnam. in fact he withdrew from that war. johnson was the one that reversed that decision and put america deep into the war after kennedy was killed. at least that is what i remember but that was long ago
When written well this was one of the best series ever on TV. Problem was they could not sustain that quality. Thanks for postimg.

Just exactly how many times has Ed Chigliak said, "Well, all right!" during the show's six seasons?

Once again, LBJ and McNamara got off easy.

I would think we could have a more civil discussion re one of the greatest scenes in the history of television.

"Roy had been to Vietnam, he hated Nixon".....
What? Hated Kennedy and Johnson you mean.

Exactly. If he hated Nixon, imagine his hatred for Kennedy and Johnson.
