As I'm sure you already know: 1) own your area of the road, don't hug 3 inches from the curb. 2) eye contact is crucial. Staring at drivers is not being aggressive, its just the best way to make sure they see you.

I'm just curious... what part of the country are you bicycle commuting in? I've lived and ridden a bicycle extensively in several west coast cities and rarely have I seen such careless and outright aggressive driving behavior... even in Los Angeles!
they should give our troops in iraq and afganistan these bicycles. the stealth capability is awsome. it seems to make you completely invisible even if somebody is 3 feet away they cant see you. amazed the cyclist didnt swear more. seriously tho they should send police men/ women on them with number plate recognition cameras so these drivers can be prosecuted for dangerous driving
I think the issue you're having with that left turn only lane outside (presumably) the building you work in isn't that you're on a bicycle, but that the right-of-way seems less than obvious because of the crosswalk.

@Ethoxyethane - Lately it seems even the most basic traffic laws are completely disregarded- especially the speed limit. Trying to ride anywhere has become impossible due to carelessness and outright aggression. I am considering hanging up the bike after 25+ years of riding.

often, the people who don't wear helmets are those who don't ride on the roads, or not that often. I am pretty much forced to wear one because it's suicidal not to....and these vids show it. nice one!!
The original video is clearer than on Youtube and the license number comes out pretty clear.However, I dont think the police really care too much to do anything.
Personaly I dont chanse it, way too dangerouse. I perfer to keep my life and limbs

If I were you I would get a mountain bike and carry some ninja rocks (porcelain).
When someone does something dangerous bust their window and quickly ride off-road.
They wont ever endanger a cyclist again.
